I had to do some errands in this area and so decided to try this place out. We use their ordering system and it was pretty easy to navigate. We got the spicy chicken wings and the crispy garlic chicken entree which came with Mac salad, Asian slaw and rice. We asked to substitute rice for broccoli which cost an extra $1. The spicy chicken had really good flavoring, it was big meaty wings so the price definitely justify it. The entree was also super generous in portion. It was crispy and the garlic flavor was not overpowering, it was on the lighter side. It was crispy but not overly crispy either. I also love the sauce that they provide which goes from no spice to super spicy and the super spicy actually have a kick! Love the vibe here - the staff is always chill & friendly, it's clean and smells like the delicious food they're cooking up right behind the counter. Food is simple and delicious - a big plate of tasty sides, flavorful well-cooked meat with plenty of sauce on the side to spice things up. 6/17/20 Ordered lunch here which was the garlic fried rice with beef and an asian salad. The beef bowl was so delicious, I ate that so quickly, I was definitely feeling less hangry after that meal. I saved the salad for dinner as it was a large meal on its own. I didn't realize I ordered the entree version but it's ok as it was eaten later. I also ordered a chocolate cream pie slice, and that was so delicious. Everything was made fresh and ready for pickup. I'd highly recommend this spot if you enjoy flavorful meals. Anyways, tried the loco moco and huli huli chicken beef combo and chicken wings and damn the food is really good. Every meal comes with two scoops of rice, coleslaw and mac salad and all the meat was really flavorful. It's been a while since I tried such good authentic Hawaiian food in Seattle, literally everywhere else is too sweet and not worth the price. They also give you a lot so I was definitely full with some leftovers too. They also have like 5-6 hot sauces to try or take to-go. It was on the more expensive side ($15 a meal), but definitely worth!!! Next time will try the Thai food but overall super solid spot in Rainer for lunch or dinner. One of my favorite spots in Seattle! A nice combination of rice, cabbage, mac salad, and a protein. I usually get the crispy fried garlic chicken or charsiu, but this time I decided to try out the loco moco. Was very good as well! Staff is always very nice and when they have downtime, they will help to serve water and clean up plates :) I do think their portions could be a bit bigger, because I do wish there was more food. I've never had such bland and undercooked garlic shrimp before. Garlic is literally in the name so I don't know why you wouldn't be able to taste it in the meal. Mac salad and kalua pork are always solid here but if you're paying $17 for garlic shrimp then it should at least taste like it has seasoning and be cooked enough. read more

Five stars for the food and one star for our order completely botched and picked up by someone else. Eventually, the mess was straightened out, and our order was returned to us, but I never felt comfortable serving it to the team since I did not know where it had been. The staff is always amazing and we appreciated their attempt to rectify the mistake. My work friend and I that went to pick up the order tried to be as patient as possible, but it was very stressful. The TV/menu was clearly faded. This is a microcosm of the whole experience - what was once excellently planned & executed has been allowed to devolve into mediocrity. The cashier was apathetic at best. There was a huge puddle of (hopefully) water on the floor of the bathroom. The sauce on the spicy sesame chicken was mixed inconsistently, some scorching & some nearly flavorless. The hunks of chicken were of an unreasonable size for a place w/chopstick & no knives. I could have just had the mac salad and been a very happy many Cooling and soft, it satisfied in a way that most mac salads don't quite reach. The noodles were perfectly cooked and there wasn't too much mayo. I had the fried mahi mahi mixed plate. All mixed plates come with two scoops of rice, one scoop of mac salad, and a slaw. I would have traded a scoop of mac salad for one of the rice. The fish was expertly fried. The panko breadcrumbs were the perfect golden brown and tightly adhered to the fish. A little dip in the sweet/hot sauce and it was very tasty. The piece was big and I couldn't finish it all; it might have been a half-pound of fish. The slaw lacked zing, although it had good crunch and was not overly watery. I think a bit more acid, maybe a pinch of salt or something salty would have been good. Maybe a splash of fish sauce and lime juice? The other small ding is the presentation. I don't like eating out of a cardboard box (I chose to eat in, not take out). I would have preferred a plate and I would have put the fish separate or on the rice. I've got to try some of the mixed plates with meat in the future. I came here for lunch during Plate of Nations and was pleased with everything I ate. Buddha Bruddah started as a food truck and now has this brick and mortar located along Rainier Avenue. It's easy to find, and note that there is a private parking lot in the back, which was super convenient. It was packed on a weekday for lunch! I ordered the Plate of Nations special, which was two pieces of Hat Ya Thai Fried Chicken, Phad Thai with Tofu, Jasmine Rice and Spring Rolls. Yes, it was way too much food, but I enjoyed it all. Once you order at the counter, the staff hands you a number, as they deliver your food to your table. The Hat Ya Thai Fried Chicken was really, really good! I ended up speaking with one of the co-owners who was eating lunch at the table next to mine, and he mentioned that the Hat Ya Fried Thai Chicken isn't on their regular menu, but he plans to put it on there because it's one of his favorite dishes. After having it I know why. The chicken was juicy and flavorful, and the fried skin on the chicken added some crunch. I highly recommend getting it if you see it on the menu, especially with some of the hot sauces that are all housemade. Phad Thai with Tofu was solid, and I really liked the crushed peanuts on top. Spring Rolls were basic, and though it came with its own sauce for dipping, I still think getting your own hot sauces from the sauce bar is better. The menu is extensive. There is something for everyone here, as they offer Hawaiian and Asian-fusion classics and dessert! I would've happily ordered a slice of haupia pie had I not been too full. Wow this was so good!! We were excited to try this place after a Seward park walk. I ordered over the phone and it was ready within 10 min. Got the Thai red chicken curry and Spicy grilled pork dishes. On the way there my husband and I were talking about how exciting it would be if the pad Thai was remotely good since Hawaiian and Thai food are some of our favorite cuisines and you don't typically find them together. So if the pad Thai was good we would easily become regulars. I was very disappointed to see my red Thai chicken curry was missing the pad Thai noodles by the time we got home. We were about 20 min away and also very hungry, or else I would have probably gone back to pick some up. Everything else tasted so amazing that I can overlook it. But can't claim this is our new place given the missing item :( I liked the curry a lot though... not too sweet. The chicken was tender and the bamboo shoots were a nice balance. At pick up I added the coconut cream pie and butter mochi. I don't even like coconut and I loved this pie!! You won't regret it! Flavor of butter mochi was good but texture was a bit dry. Check out this grilled guava chicken from Buddha Bruddah in Beacon Hill. It is so 'ono! I miss going to work in South Lake Union when I could visit their food truck weekly. So we loaded up with their family sized mixed plate and it didn't disappoint! For just $50 (plus tax and tip), we got: - 4 veggie spring rolls - 1 lb of kalua pork - 1.5 lb of grilled guava chicken - large garlic fried rice - large mac salad - large Asian slaw While they say this feeds 4, there is plenty of food for 6-8! I spent the extra $2.5 to get their sauce six pack (huli, sambal, crying tiger, chili in oil, nuoc cham, and prik nam pla) so I can recreate the food truck experience. Their sauces are on point. And then we topped it off with their coconut cream pie. Luscious coconut cream studded with generous amount of shredded coconut, and topped with even more toasted coconut! I was instantly transported to my tropical paradise. I also love that I can order online, get a text message when my food is ready, and swing by to pick it up. The SMELL as you walk in deserves 5 stars on its own. It smells so delicious in here. The menu is nice and concise, which I appreciate. I asked the guy taking my order which I should choose between the Garlic & Basil Chicken and the Hawaiian Grilled Beef and he recommended the chicken so that's what I went with. The chicken is nice and crispy and the sauce is divine. The rice is well seasoned and tender without being mushy. Mac salad and Cole slaw aren't my thing so I want judge them. That'd be unfair due to my natural bias. The decor is tropical and I love the raw edge wood tables. My two gripes are this: 1. There's no parking. Or there is and you can park behind the building? I couldn't tell. It did look like parking. So I had to park almost a block and a half a way and cross a busy street. Not my fav. 2. The price of the meal was super reasonable ($13) but then the slice of pie was surprisingly expensive in comparison ($8). For those reasons I docked a star. I couldn't go back due to spending my lunch time on picking it up. I sent an email to Mark, and he replied within 20 minutes. Super apologetic about my dish and reassured me that he would speak to his team to figure out what went wrong. He also was very quick to ask my method of payment and gave me a full refund. After going there last week for dinner, I recommended it to a friend and we had lunch together there after our walk. I loved my Rama dish with red curry sauce and fresh vegetables, Asian slaw and rice, but I was even more impressed by my friend's Hawaiian fried rice with chicken.
