Great food, great price, and clean atmosphere! Hard to beat! I had Chicken Teriyaki with Gyoza, and it tasted like your regular Seattle teriyaki joint, but a lot cleaner haha

Spicy chicken special.

Love this place! Have been coming here for over 4 years and it's the best! Great prices and huge portions, I always have left overs. Make sure to get the marinated garlic they have sitting on the tables, you office may not like you after but they are worth it.

YES, THE DUCK, PLEASE! 4.8…read more Our Seattle stay continued with another delicious discovery! The reviews for Vivienne's Bistro were promising, and the photos of its beautifully presented dishes had us eager to try it. Naturally, our quest for fabulous food finds led us straight to its door. One of the restaurant's biggest draws was its convenient location, within walking distance of our downtown hotel, the W Seattle, and directly beneath the Sheraton. With reservations made earlier, we were seated right away upon arrival. The interior holds a lovely balance between modern sophistication and warmth. Crisp white walls, medium and dark wood tones, and black accents create a clean, contemporary aesthetic, while the high ceiling lends an airy, open feel. Floor-to-ceiling windows allow natural light to shine in, making the restaurant feel warm and welcoming. For dinner, we ordered: *Lychee Mojito *Seafood Wonton Soup *Forbidden Roast Duck *Cloud Passion Fruit Cheesecake The undisputed star of the evening was the Forbidden Roast Duck. Its presentation was jaw-dropping, accompanied by a colorful assortment of accompaniments: caramelized lemons, bao buns, fresh cilantro, crisp cucumbers, radish, and hoisin sauce. I really enjoyed the various textures and flavors of this dish. Everything we ordered was simply delicious! My only regret was that we couldn't sample more of the menu. Since we were staying in a hotel, taking leftovers back to our room wasn't particularly practical, and leaving perfectly good food behind was not an option. Sometimes, the only downside to a great meal is having to exercise a little restraint. With its delicious food, attentive service, inviting ambience, and convenient location, Vivienne's Bistro turned out to be a wonderful find during our Seattle stay. It checked all the right boxes, and we'd happily add it to our list of places to revisit the next time we're in town.

As a business owner it's your responsibility to pay your employees a fair wage. A tip from a customer is not and should never be misconstrued as an employees base pay. And it's no longer a tip/gratuity when it's made to be mandatory. The food this time was just ok. I tried the broccoli chicken and it was very salty. The pineapple sweet and sour shrimp had great flavor but the shrimp were overcooked and rubbery. The presentation was very nice.

There's a second room that has more tables. We came for my belated birthday dinner and kind of went ham and ordered a bunch of stuff. Everything was delicious - comforting, tasty, fresh, creative. It's all Asian fusion and it all just works. Some stand outs - enoki fritters, genius. Umami fries - love the shoe string size, fish sauce crust and taste. Creamy udon - a crowd favorite, so comforting. Green beans had a nice tangy taste to it as opposed to the usual garlic green beans. Parking can be tough, just street parking. Lots of good stuff around Kuma too!

I stumbled upon it while scrolling through Google Maps and I'm so glad I went. All the dishes were delicious, and I was so pleased by the genuinely unique options. We got the banh mi smash burger, umami fries, Laos style street tacos, and the kho kho udon. Our favorites were for sure the banh mi smash burger and umami fries. I really liked that the fusion dishes were well balanced and that they truly felt like a fusion between two types of food instead of a discordant combination of flavors. The restaurant is deceptively small, but there's plenty of seating in the back room. The servers were friendly and did their best to serve us as soon as possible. If you can find parking, I'd highly recommend trying out Kuma!

The staff were all so welcoming and friendly, and even though their kitchen was backed up with orders, they did their best to serve us quickly and the food was still top notch. The marine-like atmosphere was also fun and made dinner really casual and enjoyable. We got some of the best sellers, the bo la lot, the ma la beef cheek noodles, and the Hokkien wok noodles, and they were all a hit. I enjoyed the different Asian-fusion dishes they had from different cultures as well as their wide selection of drinks. Ray was our server and he did a great job with his recommendations, even steering me away from something I wanted to try, warning me the dish tends to get the most complaints from guests. Additionally, we had quite a bit of food without that. We had melon salad, roasted califlower, and grilled angus sot bap. All had a good flavor palate with ingredients that worked nicely together. The space was nothing remarkable, the entrance didn't really mention Chan, but Spruce instead. Confusing, is it a rebrand or different name depending on the day or?? Look at the menu before you go and see if you consider it $$ or not, I don't have a good feel for that sort of thing as my restaurant outings are infrequent. This place is part of the "add 3% if using a CC" which kind of grinds my gears. They were the exact portion to share and perfectly paired with the Rice lager, Rupee beer, from India. The South African Bunny Chow was hearty and delicious, a bread bowl filled with buttery chicken. Lastly the Pineapple coconut corn bread was heavenly. Topped with fresh coconut shavings was delectable. One of the best desserts Ive had. Six stops around the world, but I wish someone had told us the stories behind them…read more I visited Nue during Seattle Restaurant Week and tried their six-course, globally inspired tasting menu. At a listed $35 per person, it's an intriguing concept: dishes inspired by six different countries, each offering something distinct. Overall, I really enjoyed the food, although a few details kept the experience from being exceptional. The meal started strong. The Caribbean pineapple cornbread was pleasantly crumbly, comforting, and an immediate yes from me. The Syrian kale and carrot salad followed with fresh greens, balanced acidity, and a light dressing that allowed the ingredients to shine. The Beirut hummus was another highlight. The pita arrived warm and fresh, while the mint, herbs, and seasonings elevated a relatively simple dish. I particularly appreciated how the mint complemented its Lebanese culinary inspiration. Next came the Hungarian cabbage strudel. Its crispy exterior and savory filling reminded me somewhat of a crab rangoon, providing a welcome contrast to the earlier courses. However, a few unexpectedly hard, almost spine-like pieces made certain bites less enjoyable. The standout was the South African Bunny Chow. Beautifully presented, with tender chicken, rich curry flavors, and a generous portion. My main criticism was the seasoning. A little more salt or savory depth could have brought the existing flavors forward. The accompanying rice was also somewhat clumpy, starchy, and underseasoned. Dessert was Danish Drømmekage with marionberry jam. While enjoyable, its sweet, coconut-forward character felt a little repetitive after the earlier cornbread. I would have appreciated something with greater contrast to finish such a diverse menu. My biggest disappointment, however, wasn't the food. It was the missed opportunity for storytelling. None of the dishes were introduced or explained by our servers. Given Nue's focus on international cuisine, I would have loved to hear a little about each dish's cultural inspiration, the significance of particular ingredients, or why the courses were selected and paired together. I'm not expecting a history lecture with every plate, but even a brief introduction could have made the tasting menu feel more immersive. The food was taking us around the world; I just wished the service had helped tell that story. Speaking of service, the staff appeared stretched thin. They weren't unpleasant, but attentiveness suffered, and we were never offered beverage refills. Would I return? Absolutely. The food was creative, the portions were satisfying, and the tasting menu offered excellent variety. The Bunny Chow and hummus were particular favorites. Nue has a genuinely interesting concept. With more consistent seasoning, attentive service, and a little more cultural storytelling, I think it could be a fantastic dining experience. Final verdict: 8/10. Definitely worth exploring, especially for adventurous eaters.
