That being said, good luck finding parking for this place as street parking gets atrociously full around most times of the day, including Friday night around 8pm. Back to my rave: this place is comfy and a great place to just sit in when it's chilly outside. There's a comfy couch near the entrance, many knickknacks strewn around the inside and it's brightly lit to the point where you feel like you're at home instead of a cafe. The owner of the place is very sweet and welcoming, and the pastries shown around the area looked so delicious. For this visit, my friend and I got the Thai green tea latte, key lime tea, egg tart and a slice of tiramisu crepe cake. The egg tart was warm and yummy, and quite big too so it has a mochi-like layer inside it. The tiramisu crepe cake had tons of layers of crepe and cream along with the tiramisu powder sprinkled on top. This was creamy, delightful and calming all around, that's how good this cake was! My key lime tea is a mix of Thai tea and fresh lime juice, and I'm surprised that neither part interfered with each other too much given one is sweet and the other relatively sour. The Thai green tea latte was just as great to drink. This place is so cozy and cute, and the owner gave us great service. Been eyeing this spot for crepe cakes but unfortunately they did not have them on my visit. I asked and got a generic "not today" so not really sure when they offer them, so can't help provide an update here. On the bright side, there's a clean washroom, the space is small but cozy, and they have wifi plus available. Solid spot to lounge. Would consider coming back crossing my fingers for a crepe cake. Strawberry Snowie Frappe - it's a solid dessert. Very sweet and likely double blended because it's not super icy, rather the liquid collects at the bottom. Cute little cafe in the central district area with tasty pastries, drinks, and pad thai! My husband and I came here on a Sunday late afternoon. They have a small parking lot in front of the cafe. The interior is very unique and cute! They seem to love photos and cartoons of cats and dogs! Were fans! We ordered their Thai tea with lactose free milk and boba. Stopped by during a weekday to catch up with a friend from out of town. Cafe is located in like a converted house, so theres really limited parking right in front, you might be able to find some street parking nearby. Service is superb, owner is super nice and friendly, greeting with a huge smile. The space is very comfy and cute, like a friend's place with colorful paintings, seating and plushies. We were greeted with some mellow thai pop music from a little speaker on the side, it just added to the inviting vibes. They serve food and drinks but because they don't have a dishwasher in the back, all food will be served in take out containers; they do provide extra plates and any utensils if you'd like to eat there. Pad Thai 4/5: Flavors are very pronounced in the dish, lots of tamarind sour and fish sauce salty, they do not shy away from seasonings. If anything the seasoning was a bit too strong for my liking but I would still get it again if i was craving something authentic. The noodles and meat were cooked very well and I liked that the nut topping and dry chili was set aside in a small container so you could add it on top when you were ready to eat. Thai Green Tea 4/5: I rarely see this drink in many places in and around Seattle so was excited to try it here. It's more mellow than thai tea with a more earthy undertone, the sweetness was very mild, really not too sweet at all. I would have liked it a bit more sweet but I think with pearls would have been perfect. Matcha Tea w/ Pearls 4/5: Nothing super special about the drink but it definitely curbed the craving if you wanted something not too caffeinated and matcha. Overall I would stop by again if I was in the area, I hear good things about their pastries and really love the concept of the seasonal menu. read more

The staff were super friendly, the food tasted really good, and the drinks were delicious. They not only have snacks but full entrees. They had a variety of boba milk tea variations to choose from, and I ended up trying the Barbie . I came here to study and the they had the perfect set up for studying or even just socializing. Stumbled across this cute cafe on my daily walk. The women running the store was so nice and welcoming. She was so kind and smiling when she took my order. I just got the chicken curry puff which was nice,warm,and stuffed with chicken curry flavor. Lots of room to sit and enjoy the delicious food. They also had lots of other yummy options to eat and drink. I definitely want to go back to try their Pad Thai made with gluten free noodles along with their Thai Green Tea Latte. Highly recommend this adorable cafe for their delicious pastries and food. Food portions are massive, and pastries are quite large too. Pad thai w/ chicken - One of the best pad thai I've had. Perfect balance of sweet, salty, spicy, sour, and funky. Most pad thai I've had in Seattle is dumbed down a bit, whether to save on costs or cater to an American palate. I can tell this pad thai uses real tamarind, and it's not shy with the fish sauce and dried shrimp. Comes with thai dried chili flakes, peanuts, and lime to augment to your liking. Only small thing is I wish the chicken were cut into smaller pieces. Basil chicken rice bowl - Seasoning was delicious - soy saucey, fish saucey, a bit sweet and aromatic from the basil. Quite spicy at 2/3 spice level. Again, wish the chicken were cut into smaller pieces. Would also have loved if it included stir fried vegetables. I was greeted immediately upon arrival by the gentleman working the register. At my inquiry he recommended their pad thai (over the garlic rice bowl), and I am so glad he did! My takeout order was quick and piping hot, but most importantly: delicious. As always, squeezes of the provided lime are highly recommended, but my chicken pad thai was a two meal portion of wonderful food. This is a really really cute cafe with 100% a homey vibez. My friend literally lives around the corner of this place and recommended me to it so why not. One thing I really love of this place is the decor and how it is so homey and relaxing and there are so many plushies just placed everywhere on the couches and the little cafe chairs etc. I could really come down here to just sit here for their pasteries and study/work all day here. I would say their pasteries are on point. We ordered two curry pockets for a small snack and some of their specialty coffee. I loved their pasteries but their coffee is not a hit for me. The neighborhood needs Kanom Sai, and Kanom Sai needs you. The neighborhood needs small businesses that are run by people who live and work here and want to be a part of the fabric of how we eat and live. (It also needs a place that serves boba, but we'll get to that.) Seattle is in this weird period where it could tilt into becoming just like every other town with the same franchised stuff (a Starbucks, a Whole Foods, the usual fast food places) or it could support places that offer something you can't get anywhere else. Kanom Sai is part of the latter, and it will only get better after this soft opening this weekend. You're going to get desserts like crepe cake (green tea and Thai tea flavors available now) and big ol' cookies. You're going to get a pad thai unlike anything else you've had in the neighborhood (tamarind and dried shrimp and a red chili pepper that will knock the top off of your skull). You're going to get boba without having to shlep over to Capitol Hill or the ID. And, with all of this, you'll get Sai, the owner, the chef, the one who greets you with a smile and the kind of warmth you'll need to get through this winter. Parking is terrible, but you're going to walk or ride here because it's easier anyway with the protected bike lane on E. Union and all the greenways on the surrounding streets. Boba in the CD! This was not a thing a few years ago and I was so excited to stop by. Got an ube oat milk bubble tea and a taro fresh milk for a friend (not on the main menu but just ask - they also have seasonal flavors like mango). Really friendly service and the drinks were absolutely delicious. The space looked really inviting, too, and would be a great place to hang out. First off, such friendly service and people!!! This place is quaint and adorable. I would say parking is limited to two max cars but there are street parking a block or two away to walk. There was fresh food and lots of drink options if you're not a bubble tea person. I got pad Thai and fresh raspberry cake that they made that day! Fresh and yummy. They also ask you if you're ok with some of the ingredients that they put in the noodles, which is thoughtful. I also saw that they support dog rescue in Thailand, which don't we all want to support? The raspberry crepe cake was amazing! It came with a tart raspberry slurry/jam thing in the to-go container. The whole thing, once I poured the jam on top, was just sweet enough, wonderfully light, creamy, and full of raspberry flavor. I was sharing a few bites with someone who doesn't even like sweets that much and he wished he had his own. The woman working the counter was super nice and helpful. The whole place is so warm and very very well decorated, they have plenty of tables for large groups, some stools looking out the window and a nice couch with a ton of stuffed things and pillows. The owner and workers are some of the nicest I've ever met, they talk to me every time I come in and are even willing to change around the heat in the building if someone is cold and they offered for me to come in and sit even without buying anything if I need a place to study or wait for the bus. It's all laughs in there and the workers are super friendly and welcoming. The best part is they are a locally owned small business and while that does make service a bit slow it's ok come support this business it's a great place to visit in the central district. The only food I've gotten was the Thai boba tea which was perfectly sweet and it doesn't taste like the other places in Seattle. Came in today, after lunch. The owner was extremely sweet, and welcoming. They were still in their soft opening phase, but they already have a decent sized menu. I ended up getting the curry puffs and one of the cookies. Their curry puffs were the best i have ever tasted. A large sized flaky pastry, containing filling with great amount of flavor and spice. I ended up taking the owner's advice, and putting the cookie in the microwave - it was great. You can tell that the owner puts a lot of love into the food she makes. Super cute place with the most gracious host/owner you could imagine. Sai is incredibly sweet and apparently a great pastry chef. Had the curry chicken puff, taro puff, Barbie (strawberry) boba tea, and strawberry donut. The curry was so well done without being overbearing, I'd even say perfectly seasoned. Can definitely tell they makes everything by hand. Flaky crust was great as well and not bland at all. Honestly, everything just SLAPPED.
