Everyone really enjoyed. The pastas were a little bland and the chicken Marsala was a little sweet but delicious . There was plenty of food with a lot left over. Loved it here. I loved the family style big platters it's perfect. I highly recommend the lasagna and mozzarella cheese sticks they are the best I've tried in a very long time. The pizza was very tasty as well it is flat, thin bread which I prefer but if you like thick crust this one is not for you. I do however recommend you try it's very good, lots of flavor. I liked how big it is and how many rooms it had feels kinda private. Great place for large family or friends to have lunch or dinner together that's for sure. I have been to other locations for Bucca di Beppo, and I don't think I would ever return to this location in Brea. A week ago, I made a reservation for my birthday for 15 people in the Pope room for today April 26. There were no issues with the reservation or getting seated, but my issue was with the service we received. The hostess and waiters knew this dinner was for my birthday, but it was not acknowledged at all. At first, everything went smooth and we got our appetizers and drinks. Once we placed our Entree order, things just started to fall apart. When we asked for a few side items, we had to remind the waiter at least 4 times before they finally brought it out. I felt like my whole party was forgotten about for a while and felt like our table didn't matter. I have been to a few other locations and anytime I go for my birthday, (whether I bring a cake or not) they still sing happy birthday to me and serve me the brownie ice cream in a big martini cup and they take our picture. At this location, I didn't get any of that and it did make me sad and feel like I wasted my birthday at a place that didn't acknowledge me. We still left a generous tip because we were a big party and ordered a lot of food, but honestly, I felt like we were a joke to the workers there and I regret going to this specific location for my birthday. read more

My wife and I recently received a gift card for Buca and decided to use it yesterday (Sunday 8/25). We ended up making a reservation for 6:15pm because we have a little one and didn't want to be there with the dinner rush. We got there a little early and sat down right away. The waitress gave us a minute and we ended up ordering drinks and then cheese garlic bread with just some normal pasta with marinara and meat sauce. So first they served us the bread they give everyone. Next after 25 min they came to our table saying the receipt for the bread messed up and it will be out soon. Okay that's fine - when they brought it; it was just normal garlic bread. So they say they will bring our garlic bread with cheese next. After we get the garlic bread with cheese - at this point we've had nothing to eat but bread. It was a little obnoxious although the waitress was extremely nice but seemed overwhelmed. So the manager came and said the bread and a dessert would be on them. So the pasta comes out - everything was good and we ended up ordering the Italian creme cake to go. (What made us the most upset was a family of 8 came in and they received bread within 10 minutes and there pizza/pasta was received shortly after that - mind you we were a table of 3) The waitress was great. But the service in the back sucked honestly. Why we were given 3 baskets of bread before our meal? And why did pasta take an hour to come out? Im sure they have those noodles pre cooked. We ended up leaving around 8:15pm. We ordered very early on and the process just took way too long. Also the Italian cake was not good at all. I would not recommend this Buca. read more

Did the banquet style food. Got less than OK service and food. Service - people were nice but seemed like they couldn't handle a large crowd. Spilled water on a guest. Had to ask multiple times for items and some they just didn't even bring. Food - Generic at best. Not the bucca we remember. Tasted reheated. Dry spaghetti with zero flavor. No seasoning on the Alfredo. Just cream and noodles. Chicken tasted like fish and reheated. Arnold Palmers were watery. Bread tasted packaged. Salads were bomb tho! Came here for a party. We were early. Hostess asked how many in your party. I said I'm not the host, how would I know how many??? Then she asked me " how many have arrived". I said again, why are you asking me that, it's not my party And I don't have the guest list. She then proceeded to tell me like that we couldn't be seated because 1/2 if the guests hadn't arrived. I asked if there was someplace we could have a glass of wine while we were waiting. Her response rather curtly was "around the corner". Jeeze thanks so much. Forget this place. Went for dinner Sunday night. There were four of us, and we saw the "family dinner" so we ordered the large size along with a small order of chicken parmigiana, figuring we would have leftovers and boy, did we!! It was delicious! We have never been disappointed in the food and this particular evening, our server was Nico. He was such a great guy! Very friendly and personable, and his service was top notch. He checked in on us often making sure we didn't need anything else, yet he wasn't intrusive at all. If you have a chance to be served by him, you will see that he definitely takes pride in his job and in pleasing his customers. He helped make our dinner a great experience! read more

Forget going here for a celebration. Despite booking in advance to have salads and bread set up at the table, when we got there it had not happened. We reordered in the hall way. Then we were brought to our tiny crammed corner table - despite the restaurant being mostly empty at 9pm on a Wednesday night. The server's crazy long finger nails kept getting in the food, we had to ask every time something was brought to the table if they would clear first some space - every time. The food piled up, no room to pass anything. Elderly people crammed into the booth, had to repeatedly ask for food to be boxed by staff as there was no room on the table. They just dumped cartons for us. As the hosts we got there first and ordered our drinks, later realized that none of our guests were even offered drinks. The salmon we ordered was inedible - the guest of honor loves salmon otherwise we would not have ordered salmon in an Italian restaurant - i get that. The best service came from the photographer who took pictures - or course for us to buy - which guilted into grandparents did. Awful, awful, awful. We left the worst tip ever. read more

Let me preface this by saying the service was great. The food was what wasn't so great. We ordered the Caprese appetizer and the Fettucine Alfredo. The Caprese, the small version, cost $20 but came with only 5 little things of mozzarella, tomato, and basil stacked. $4 each for a bite or two. Some of the basil was also brown, which we left on the plate. The Fettucine was fine. We also got the small version for it, and despite eating as much as possible, we could only finish a fourth of it, and we took it home. It wasn't great reheated though, so it went in the trash. I recently ordered from their catering department. I have to say I'm impressed. I've ordered from a lot of catering departments and they were the most helpful and efficient. Everything is over the phone, online or email. I loved the email part, because it was done discussion style with corporate and local store catering manager. They delivered on time and with EVERYTHING! I'm talking about tongs, spatulas, cheese, fresh chili flakes (not the packets!), extra sauce, utensils, plates, and even a table cloth!!!! First, i wanted order raspberry iced tea, server said they don't have raspberry iced tea for now but can't tell us why? He told us that he will bring raspberry iced tea but we never got it. We kept getting different excuses about why our pizza was missing toppings, why it was 30 minutes to get coffee, another 30 for calamari, an hour later...etc. The manager's reason for why no food was arriving didnt even match the waitresses excuses. My fiancé and I had an awesome experience at the Buca di Beppo in Brea tonight! This location has been a longtime favorite because of their excellent customer service and delicious food! Our server, Rosie, was super friendly, courteous and EFFICIENT. Rosie greeted us within a couple minutes of being seated and made us feel at home right away! She even took the time to let us know our meal might be a little behind due to the high demand for takeout orders. We went back with just 3 of us and each got our own thing. We enjoyed this more than the family style we usually do. The soup/salad lunch combo was a good deal. My Gorgonzola salad was good but the chicken tasted like it had been in the fridge for a while, not freshly grilled. The small dinner portion lasagna was pretty small - would've expected more for $23. Service was good and good water.
