It was 100 degrees outside so naturally we were a bit warm up there, but it wasn't unbearable. Casual vibes here - jeans, shorts, tshirts throughout. We ordered Elderflower Spritz's to start. They were absolutely delightful. Light and very refreshing. We also had their seasonal specialty Cashew Queso. It was unlike anything I've ever tasted before. The cashew flavor wasn't overwhelming, it more so added a lovely bit of creaminess to the delicious homemade queso dip. We also shared the Carrot Cake French Toast. I truly have no words for how spectacular this dish was. I'll be fantasizing about it for the rest of my days. Perfectly crispy on the outside, soft, rich, and cakey on the inside - paired with a scoop of some sort of fantastic whipped cream cheese *chefs kiss* Highly recommend getting this to share. If you're bold enough to order it as your entree, be prepared to take a nap shortly afterwards. The person working the counter clearly could not care less. I am honestly confused and disappointed that they seem so uninvested in meeting people's needs. So I consider Ginger Pig to be just another heartbreaking potentially delicious new Asian restaurant that doesn't care about those of us who choose not to eat animals.
