This pho joint is across from the Capitol Building. I thought I would see more customers inside, but there was no one when I entered. That did not give me a good feeling, but later more parties showed up. I also saw people coming in and out for take-out. We were served by a middle-aged man. He handled all the bussing and was very courteous. He didn't talk much but did ask us how we were doing about halfway. The menu is pretty standard of a pho/Viet restaurant. I overheard someone ask for morning glory, but I thought that was Thai.. I tried the pho dac biet, which was pretty good. The com tam was sus to me. I got C1 heo nuong grilled pork, but it was red!?! The texture was also weird. The plate came with three slabs of pork sliced into thin strips. The dining area seems like a good size, but if you go to the back, there are even more tables. Located across from the statehouse, pho-natic, will make you a pho-fan. The two workers worked quickly to seat and serve diners. I had a beef pho and a Vietnamese iced coffee. The iced coffee was bold and flavorful, and portioned perfectly. Since Vietnamese iced coffee is so strong, I understand why the portion was substantially smaller than other drinks but I was surprised that it was priced about the same or higher than others. The regular pho bowl was a good portion -- enough to satisfy someone with moderate hunger. The beef portions within the soup were also plentiful - they did not skimp! While the broth itself was good, it wasn't my favorite (a little heavy on the fish sauce, and yet very light in color). Very good pho here! Walking in, I was instantly hit with the wonderful aroma of pho broth. I got the Pho dac biet, so it included all the meats! I genuinely appreciate how they offer the small size for the pho dac biet, which isn't available in a lot of pho restaurants. Pho was soooo tasty! All the meats were tender. Grabbed lunch at Pho-natic the other day, and honestly it was an excellent experience. Clean, cozy and cool space (the latter was important given it was a hot walk to get there and I still wanted to slurp some hot pho). Service was absolutely impeccable too. We had the spring rolls to start with, which were generously filled. The pho comes in three sizes, and I got the small which was perfect for my lunchtime appetite, and it still had plenty of meat and accoutrement. It's good but not the best pho or thai iced tea I've had (I've had many, so my standard is higher). The broth is tasty but isn't clear. Noodle texture was correct. Good amount of beef in the noodle soup. I wish cilantro was served on the side and not in the soup. Thai iced tea flavor is a little off, maybe more artificial? I don't love giving these reviews but the wonderful thing about posting reviews is everyone has their own take! I think the major thing that led me to take away 2 stars is just the food. I ordered pho and bun bo hue for take out. I was unimpressed by the pho broth. In my opinion, it tasted like not a lot of bones were used to make the broth and instead it was compensated by msg (which I have nothing against msg, but it shouldn't be the main star of the broth!). The biggest thing that disappointed me was the bun bo hue. It's always a gamble for sure finding a place that will make it, and who will make a decent bbh. Unfortunately, I was let down here. The broth tasted as if it was just their pho broth with some bbh seasoning thrown in. On top of that, the meat that was given was the pho brisket, and a couple slices of beef that are typically in bbh. There was no shredded cabbage, no hock, etc. It was just pho dressed as bbh, which is not tradition and it makes me disappointed that people who have never had bbh may be saying they don't like it just based on this! That is what ultimately led to this rating. Onto the good stuff! Their space looked nice enough and the staff member who greeted me was very kind!! It is right downtown, so I can see the appeal for wanting to pop in. Be warned though, there is not any good places to park!! No parking lot and no street parking in front either. read more

Get the spring rolls. The rolls themselves are fine, but the brown sauce is incredible. Idek what it was but I'm salivating just thinking about it. Just really tangy and savory. Pho was great too. I think I got the rare beef + brisket, but the brisket was way better. Broth was nice and substantial too. Coconut juice tasted weird at first, but you get used to it haha. Real good. I think I just found my favorite Vietnamese restaurant in Denver. This small cozy place immediately gives you good vibes upon arrival. Service was very quick and attentive and all of the food was made fresh. I ordered the grilled pork spring rolls and the combination noodle bowl, both of which I devoured. The meat was well seasoned and juicy and had a nice char from the grill. I think my favorite was the juicy pork on top of the fresh noodles. I do wish that I had a little more vegetables to balance out the meat portion but that's the only "complaint" I have if you want to call that a complaint. Parking is a bit tragic as this place is directly across from the Capitol so if you're trying to go I recommend parking a block or two away and parking. read more

The server was originally really nice but once I mentioned they failed to properly accommodate an allergy, he tried to downplay the severity of it due to the fact that there wasn't that much in. I could taste the ingredient when I got to the broth and at that point I asked for a reduction. He then said he'd cover it all but to "not come back." I was very worried that within walking distance where we're residing now that there won't be a go-to viet food for us. Worries are over ! Yay! Grilled meat in the combo plate is wonderful. This is my favorite Vietnamese restaurant in Denver, for these noodle bowls. Sometimes I switch out the noodle bowls for rice but I'm telling you this place is amazing for this combo noodle bowl! I am married to a Vietnamese man, so my standards are very high, haha. But jokes aside the pickled veggies are so crunchy and flavorful, the egg rolls are perfect crispy and filled with stuffing, the meat is so tender and there is an umami punch. Definitely seasoned. To top it off, the fish sauce here is exactly how I like it. Depth of flavor, sweet and spicy. This is a great casual spot, right outside of the Colorado Supreme Court. Lots of meat and noodles in a big bowl! I think I ordered a smaller size, too. I tried to drink as much of the broth so I didn't waste the hard work of the chefs for making this bowl of the pho. I got the combination plate. Seemed to be missing one of the items and was more like an appetizer for portions. Food was tasty, but I don't think you should leave hungry due to teaser portions, complete serving or not. Very pleasant, quiet, relaxed atmosphere which is a huge plus to me, and the food was very tasty. The proprietor has an interesting story. I personally know people with similar experience over leaving Vietnam, and was glad to hear that they got out despite the tremendous perils of doing so. We decided to make this place my daughters Sixth birthday celebration. I hear she went there often and loved Pho. I am still on my tourism journey through downtown and don't mind checking it out.
