It gave the whole space a really energetic, welcoming vibe. Everything coming out of the kitchen looked and smelled incredible. I ended up chatting with the owner, Alex, while I waited, and he was super attentive and easy to talk to, which made the wait feel short. By the time I got home, my Sizzling Chicken Skillet sat for about 30-40 minutes before I could eat it... and somehow it was still perfect. The chicken was spot on and the udon held up beautifully. This restaurant is located in a Denver neighborhood known as HiLo. From the outside, one wouldn't imagine a restaurant like this in an upscale area. However, when you enter through the front door and walk in, you get the sense that not only does this restaurant belonghere, you soon will be treated and understand what taiwanese-style hot hots are, and it is truly delicious! We started with orders of popcorn chicken and chicken wings. Both items are a must try appetizers. As I popped a couple of popcorn chicken in my mouth, even without the accommodating sauce, the tastebuds in my mouth were partners dancing and jumping for joy. The sauce used to marinade and cooked in the chicken wing was so good! No side sauce necessary, but it was an added bonus to the dish. My main entrée was the seafood lobster hot soup, and boy, it was flavorful, tasty, and totally delicious! So many items in this soup including shrimp, octopus, clams, mussels, and a lot of different vegetables, but my favorite was the taro. These taro slices went very well with the soup. Ordered the #3 lunch hot pot, kimchi pork belly fried rice & the spicy dumplings. My daughter thought the hot pot was fine but better can be had most places. Kimchi fried rice had no flavor and don't even bother with the dumplings. There was one server who was running all over. Poor guy. read more

I'm sorry- as a Tawiwanese/Chinese American- this establishment is not it. Not my cup of tea at all. It doesn't capture the delicious flavor of how hot pot should be. I could barely stomach my hot pot and I got the most common and how can you mess up the easiest flavor- beef broth. I felt bad for recommending different broth flavors to my friends- they did not. I was truly disappointed. Coloradians need to come down to Houston and Dallas TX for decent East Asian food. Just like people say you can't find good Mexican food in Colorado, also I am finding out don't expect good Chinese or Taiwanese food in Colorado either. Overpriced and gross I just cannot. read more

Found another great hot pot restaurant to add to our favorites list in Colorado! First time here and we loved it. My favorite was the Thai Curry hot pot, the flour was amazing and loved with how much vegetables and protein it came with! I did taste the curry, hot pot, which was good with a hint of spice to it. Wonderful find! Came here on a Friday around 1:30PM. The place was a hit empty so we were quickly seated. The place was very cleaned and decorated so nicely. The server was so friendly and service was perfectly paced! We were greeted with a cup of green tea. Our appetizers came out first. We got steamed dumplings, eggrolls, and tempura shrimp - everything was delightful! I didn't get pictures of everything because I just started eating. We then received our hot pot and ramen - the broth was amazing! Honestly, I didn't even read the ingredients, but I can tell you everything was wonderful. It's been a few years since I last visited the tasty pot location in Aurora but I'm glad I finally visited the Denver location. They have items on the menu that are not available in the Aurora location such as the sizzling noodle plate and one of the Asian flavored wings. If you're at the Denver location, definitely order wings and popcorn chicken as an appetizer. They're pretty crunchy and flavorful. I also recommend trying their chili oil and sesame soy on the table as dipping sauces. It's quite delicious and pairs well with the majority of the food we had. It was so good, I had to get some for my leftovers. Tasty Pot serves pretty generous portions. My bf ordered the hotpot (I think it was the lamb option) and I got the sizzling noodles plate. I would get the hot pot option next time. The sizzling plate was good but it definitely dried up as the meal went on. I didn't eat fast enough and my egg became scrambled. I ordered the kimchi dumpling hot pot soup. It comes with napa cabbage, pork slices, kimchi, dumpling, rice cake, mini sausage, shrimp, enoki mushroom, kamaboko, tempura, clam, Fuzhou fish ball, soft tofu, fried tofu skin, zucchini, imitation crab meat, egg, scallion. You also get your choice of rice or noodles to complement your soup. They have a variety of spice levels ranging from none to flaming spicy. I chose the mild spice level. The broth was flavorful with a good kick. I would probably lean into the spice more next time and get spicier, but erred on the side of caution on my first visit. The edamame was good. I had the seafood lobster hot soup with extra Vermicelli. It comes out boiling hot on a cute stand with an open flame. The decor is fun, modern, clean. The servers are friendly and helpful but slightly confused. Every time we had a question they had to go find out. We did not like neither appetizer. We got the Sweet Glaze Wings, which were okay, and the Broccoli with Garlic, which was extremely disappointing, so mushy and too salty. The 2 Hotpots we got were amazing though. The Beef Hot Soup Hotpot had such tasty ingredients. We also ordered the Taiwanese Hotpot, which on the menu is "Supreme Spicy Hot". My family prefers ramen over hot pot, so we decided to give it a shot because they have ramen on their menu now. However, it really isn't typical ramen, as they use hot pot type bone broth vs what they advertise. My husband and daughter had tonkatsu and the broth did not taste or look like typical tonkatsu broth. They were generous with toppings (meat, veggies, etc). For appetizer, we had the plain 5 spice popcorn chicken, this was great. I tried the Taiwanese hot pot because they said it was the most popular item on the menu (any item on the menu with a thumbs up is a popular item). However, I didn't really like it. It had typical Taiwanese items inside, but the broth didn't taste Taiwanese to me at all- at medium spice and a base of chili it was also pretty spicy. It was pretty big and two people could share it. I think the next time I go, I will try the beef broth. I recommend that any first timers get the beef broth. Service is slow, they don't check up on you, and when we got to go containers they forgot to bring us a bag and lids to the plastic containers. read more

Our table got 3 hot pots: Szechuan spicy, Beef hot soup, and Cheesy milk hot soup, as well as a sizzling chicken entree. We all LOVED our choices. All the hot pots were filled to the brim with fresh ingredients ranging from meat to veggies to seafood to noodles. They didn't skimp on the meat or seafood either. The meat was so soft, you could tell it was high quality. And with so many different hot pot options, you're bound to find one that's perfect. If you're not feeling soup, my friend that ordered the chicken raved about it as well. I ended up taking about a half of my hot pot home because it was so large. Finally, we also tried their bubble tea (hokkaido milk team, wintermelon tea, and wintermelon milk tea) and we were impressed! Good bubble tea is a bit hard to find in Denver, especially at a restaurant, but our drinks had customizable sugar (good sign) and had a solid tea taste. Soooo good! I crave this place weekly! I saw bad reviews about the beef hot pot but I thought it was delicious! The beef is supposed to be cooked prior and dipped in their house sauce. The house sauce is perfect for dipping and all the veggies and add ons in the hot pot were great. I can barely finish it every time because there's so much so it's two meals for me.
