Food was really good. Pulled pork was very tender. Sauce was a little on the vinegary side. Wait was super long but worth it and understand the challenges of lack of employees after covid. Have always loved Bubbas and our family has lived here for since before Bubbas came to town. We have had a favorite meal there - salad bar, onion rings and wings..... but they've changed the wings! The new ones are not good! We are really sad about the change and would ask that those in charge would consider changing back. The new wings tasteless and dry. Please reconsider! read more

The BBQ here is fair. They do have a smoker, which is more than can be said for most of the "BBQ" places in this part of the country. The meat was mushy, perhaps being over cooked or not super fresh. May be better on other days. Fries we're good as was the buttermilk pie. I wasn't a big fan of either the sweet or Carolina sauce, but others in my group seemed to like them. I wouldn't go out of way for this place (and I'll drive hours out of my way for good Q), but it might serve in a pinch. At least it is actually smoked and not boiled or broiled. read more

I feel kind of bad about this rating cause the staff was very kind and attentive but the food was just o.k. We had the brisket combo platter and the brisket was dry & tough. Ribs were tasty but overcooked. We came in later in the evening just before closing and maybe that was part of the problem but I was disappointed. The portions were generous but taste-wise just o.k. For the food I would give a five start rating. I shared a pulled pork plate with my daughter and we had food left over. The fries were really good as well as the salad bar. Loved the BBQ Brisket/Pulled Pork sandwiches. Both the meat and the Bubba's sauce were excellent! Larger BBQ plates were also on the menu, plus a giant salad bar. Another plus was that the restaurant was located close to, but outside of the main part of town with a large parking lot so it was easy in/easy out, and close to our hotel. We needed some good barbecue in Jackson. We went to Moe's the night before and were seriously let down with what we received. So the following night we went to Bubba's to get that fix we needed and we were extremely happy! The value is decent, especially for the amount of food you receive. If I wasn't camping I would have taken it with me to eat later. It's that good! And thankfully we had Brenda as our server. She was polite, fast, and seemed to genuinely love her work. Service was not the best, waitress was preoccupied and not very good. Food was OK at best. Our party ordered a wide variety of food. Chicken was OK, Brisket was not bad, avoid the ribs. I'd go with the Briquet next time. Overall not a bad place for a tourist to get some food. We were not the only ones experiencing bad service there. Great breakfast with best service in Jackson. Now the food is your typical breakfast fair but the biscuits are spectacular! They also have options for vegetarians. The best part about Bubba's is you are well taken care of! Most restaurant in Jackson have seasonal help that are just in town for recreation and don't care about your experience. This is not the case at Bubba's. We had 3 people at our table within 5 minutes of sitting down, our waitress checked on us several times and replaced our ketchup even though we really didn't need it just because she noticed we were low. Everyone was happy and smiling and very friendly. The other restaurants in Jackson have a lot to learn about service from this "greasy spoon"! read more

Three words: OMG!!! Went here for lunch and it smelled sooooo good! I can't say much for decor but the place was well-lit with windows all around. There is a well maintained salad bar with plenty of fresh tummies. I however saved my tummy room for ribs. I got the St. Louis ribs and they were fantastic. Ordered the potato salad but thought it bland, even with salt and pepper. The meal also came with a large piece of Texas toast which was excellent. I also had iced tea which is very important to me. I can tell when the tea is fresh. Plenty of sweeteners is also important. Bubbas passed the iced tea test and I can't of a better meal I have had while visiting Jackson Hole! Definitely need to hit this place if you're in town and into BBQ! read more

I may be biased since I'm from the south and get good Bar-b-que on a regular basis, but this was not good. Almost zero smoke flavor in either the brisket or the pulled pork. Both were very dry and smothered in a strange sauce that seemed like a mix between beef gravy and an off-the-shelf BBQ sauce - just awful. The baked beans were more of a wet paste than anything resembling beans; again, no smoke flavor or pork evident in them - just a bland sweetness. Service was slow, with all personnel more focused on cleaning up in preparation for closing instead of taking care of customers. I was there at 8:00 p.m., and by 8:30 they already had most of the chairs turned upside down on the tables and were mopping the floors just as I started to eat. Great staff but average food. Our large group recently ate here because it was about the only place open that late after visiting the park. The server Jorge did a great job making suggestions and keeping the glasses full. The food though left something to be desired. Some had meat that was dry and or tough. I wish I can give this more stars. The food was very good. The meat was tender and had so much flavor. The sides were great too. Especially the baked beans. But what this rating is for... is the service. I felt rushed and I noticed that the color of my skin determined the service I received. We barely got our food and the bill came right along with it. What if we wanted something else? Also the waiter was refilling everyone else's cups of water but ours. And we had been there longer but because We aren't white or from the general area our service was lacking. He kept coming by to see if I had put down my card to pay but I wasn't ready to. We were still eating!!! When we are almost done I put my card down and then he gave us more water. I felt so uncomfortable in there. This is such a huge tourist area due to the park and granted some areas haven't evolved yet but come on. There are many different people visiting this area. I wasn't done with my sides yet and he took our plates and forks. I felt so shut down that I was like screw it let's just go. The food was amazing but the service and experience is disheartening and disappointing. And the crazy part is there are Hispanics that work there!!! Just be aware if you go to this restaurant and you're not of a specific race or ethnicity. I didn't catch the waiter's name but he's an older white man with a buzz cut. A 45 minute wait at 5:00 pm when we were there. Should've joined the waitlist online. The food was worth it though. The place had that smell where you're pretty confident you're going to get good BBQ. Our server did a nice job taking care of us. The rack of ribs was pretty generous and 75% of the ribs were very meaty and there wasn't much fat. The taste of the ribs was good and I loved the taste of the extra BBQ sauce on the side. Our mac-n-cheese was very very good. The potato salad was tasty. The only bummer was the carrots. Don't try to add some healthy food to your BBQ experience and just avoid the carrots.
