Came back here by accident forgetting I've been here before. Definitely a different experience then my first time which seems like forever ago. The spam masubi absolutely spectacular and it's made to order nice and fresh. The guy at the counter was super cool fun guy. From the moment you walk in you're warmly greeted and feel right at home! There's so many wonderful things about this cafe and the hospitality from the staff is top tier. I enjoyed a 'build your own sandwich' and let me tell you this alone is worth coming in for - everything is made from scratch and just genuinely tastes amazing! I also ordered an iced latte which tasted delicious! Went here for the first time today and will definitely be a returning customer! My husband and I enjoy trying new local coffee shops on the weekends and finding new places for reading dates. This place was a one that I have passed by many times. Stopped in today for breakfast. Got a BLT on croissant and added avocado. Also got the ginger green smoothie. This place was so cute! I've never seen it before so decided to try it out. It was so peaceful inside. There is a bunch of different seatings. We picked a couch and played chess on the table! They had a few games and books you could use while there. I got a coffee and a bagel & cream cheese. The prices were very good and it all tasted yummy. They had plain or everything bagel. Great cafe with lots of seating to rest and hang out for a while to work, study, journal, read a book, etc. Ordered an ice blended banana mocha with oat milk, avocado toast and chips. It was a nice light lunch, and it was pretty good. Street parking was easy. I'd come back for the banana mocha. Maybe try a hot one next time. read more

Great study spot! This cafe is the perfect place to get some weekend studying done-- plenty of comfy seating, lots of outlets by the walls, and ambient but quiet noise. I got here around 11am and it was very quiet, but by 1, there were a lot more people chattering and lounging here. Food and coffee were decent (banana nut mocha and veggie panini), but the price point is a little higher than other cafes in my opinion. read more

Traveling to San Diego from Los Angeles and stopped off for a coffee and something quick to eat. The staff were so friendly and welcoming. We got an iced salted caramel mocha and an iced banana nut mocha, it's addicting, we want to go back for more. We also split a ham and cheese croissant, it was delicious! Central Perk vibes! If you want something homespun, ma and pop style then check this out. My breakfast sandwich was really fresh and I could even hear them grilling it from my seat. Came for the Oceanside parade and ended up here. It turned out to be one of the highlights of my trip to Oceanside. The atmosphere is incredibly cozy, quiet, and welcoming--perfect whether you want to work, read, or just relax with a great coffee. Its not "just another cafe" I tried their Musubi and Onigiri, along with the edamame and seaweed salad, and everything was delicious. The musubi was made fresh to order, and easily some of the best I've had. You can really tell they care about the quality of their food. The staff were super friendly and welcoming from the moment I walked in. It's the kind of local café and lounge that makes you want to come back again and again. If you're in Oceanside and looking for excellent coffee, tasty food, and a comfortable place to spend some time, Brown Cup is absolutely worth a visit. I'll definitely be back next time I'm in town. This is a cozy, family-run café, and I've been a regular for over 4 years now. I honestly haven't found anything I don't like yet! The menu is small, but every item packs amazing flavor. Favorites of mine include the Spam Masubi with avocado, Avocado Toast topped with feta and fresh basil, Green Smoothie, Turkey Cheese Avocado, Southwest Sandwich, and Dirty Chai Latte. They also let you customize your sandwiches and drinks. Today I tried the Everything Bagel with garlic cream cheese--so satisfying! This is my second time coming to Brown Cup Cafe, the location is perfect and parking is available directly behind the Cafe. In both of my visits, the staff is very polite. My food was brought out to me, and the beverages and food that I ordered tasted great. Prior to this I had another Cafe that I frequently visited, however this by far tops that. In addition to everything else, the place looks very elegant, and it is very quiet for those who want to use it as a discreet place of study or to simply relax. I ordered a latte, which was decent, but if you're in a rush or don't have 30 minutes to spare for a single drink, this might not be the best choice. The staff was friendly, but wow, were they slow!
