This used to be my childhood Blimpie that i'd make my mom visit at least once a week growing up. We knew the Blimpie had gone away and were excited to see that a new local sub shop moved in! I always opt for local businesses when possible, so it is a fun new addition to the neighborhood. I ordered their turkey and provolone on a freshly baked sub roll the 'Brooklyn' way which comes with lettuce, tomato, onions, oil, vinegar, mayo, and spices. I got a meal which game with chips and a drink. Total for the meal, it was about $10. I will say, it wasn't my favorite sub in the whole wide world but I do appreciate the passion behind the business and very friendly service. The bread was a little too much for me which overpowered the sandwich toppings and there wasn't much oil and vinegar on mine so it just seemed a little dry. All in all, the flavors were lacking a tad. It was also VERY warm in the store. The chip selection was not great - they didn't have potato chips of any kind, just Cheetos, Sun Chips, Cheez-Its, pretzels, Doritos, etc. I was shocked at no potato chips! Those are my jam. They DO sell eegee's which I know from visiting Tucson, so that is a fun plus! All in all, the owner was there and VERY friendly + passionate about his business, so for that , 4 stars! I do think it is relatively new so they're probably still working on things like decor, etc. If you like subs, it is worth a try! read more

Wow! passed this place on our way to Camelback, and knew we wanted to stop on the way back. Was bummed to see it closed at 2, and we wouldn't be there until 2:15 or so. My wife called, and they agreed to wait for us. This was the quintessential family run place. The dad suggested I try the Monster, and I followed his lead. I have never a meatier sandwich! My kids got Turkey bacon subs and a pastrami one. Everyone loved them, but what made this visit special was the awesome service. Definitely the place to stop after hiking Camelback!!!!!! read more

I ordered two sandwich platters for a bachelor party lunch to be served after a morning of golf. Mike and Cathy made each sandwich with so much care and quality - everyone loved it! The bread is great and the meat and toppings were all the exact right proportions for a great bite. They also took extra steps to makes sure the condiments were packed securely, and gave us some extra coleslaw (which was also delicious! As a Brooklyn resident, I can say that they represent the best Brooklyn delis well! read more

What can I say, great service, greater food! I enjoyed my time in Brooklyn Mike's even if it was just for pick-up. I ordered the Brooklyn Bomber and it's light, flavorful, and filling at the same time. I enjoyed learning about the history of the sandwich shop and was impressed that it had been running for 32 years! Congrats to them. I'll definitely be back. If I could make a suggestion I'd say it would be good to get their menu up on the website. I found an image of it on Yelp and Google but I think it would be easier overall. Anyway, I'll be back! I very rarely write reviews. HOWEVER, this little cornerstone sandwich shop EARNED my time for sure! They deserve my 5 s!!! Mike and Kathy are originally from Brooklyn. I've driven by a few times and finally thought "what the heck". I've had their "Fuhgettaboutit" sandwich and their turkey and Swiss. My son (21yr old) had their 12" Brooklyn Beast. He devoured it. We LOVED it! So, I started asking more questions about their meat...because it's not regular, processed deli meat. We're talking whole turkey slices, bacon, ham, etc. They informed me, they bake their bread, bacon, and chicken in-house. They added by saying they bring their meats from Brooklyn, just like Mike's dad used to make them back home. Ah-mayzing!!! Honestly one of the last great moments and pop sandwich shops around. Very east coast vibe and high quality. Staff extremely friendly and helpful. Bread fresh baked by owner and you can taste it. Only 2 things need to change: better seating for eating in- very few tables but not sure how often customers stay to eat and they prefer to not take credit card. Slightly on the more expensive side but the quality of the meats justifies it all day long. read more

Favorite mom and pop sandwich shop!! Their homemade spicy mustard is DA BOMB. I have never really been one to like mustard but this place is a GAME CHANGER they also have homemade spicy sauce that's super delicious! You instantly feel the love when you walk in. Great people who care not only about the ingredients and food they make but their customers. Highly highly recommend a million times over the other basic sandwich shops read more

Finally made it to Brooklyn Mikes after years of them closing before we get off work! They were so inviting and joyful when I walked in. When I got home and myself and wife tried the sandwich we both looked at each other and knew we found our new sandwich shop! The meat was fresh and flavorful but what I thought took it over the top from other sandwich shops was the bread! We can't wait to try a different sandwich next time! read more

Stopped here on my way to Costco and so glad I did. I was amazing with the friendliness the second I walked in. He knew I had never been there before "because he knows his regulars". The meat has amazing flavor!! I honestly didn't even know that sandwich meat could taste that flavorful. After a sample I decided to go with the peppered turkey and stepped out of my comfort zone with the "Brooklynn style" toppings. The sandwich was great and very fresh! Best place in town to grab a Sandwich... fresh bread is that beginning of the difference you can taste! Then, they use fresh quality ingredients- everything from veggies, produce and toppings plus the treats the offer are all 5/5. They also have the best selection of chips and this place should be visited to anyone looking to be satisfied. Love this family owned spot! Kathy and Mike JR were so nice and friendly. The restaurant has been there for 52 years and 32 years in the same location!! They let me sample the strawberry eegees and I'll def back for one of those. The sandwich is amazing - never going back to Subway!! read more

Best sub ever. The bread is gifted from heaven. I've been craving a really good sub and this place hit the spot. I happened upon it while meeting someone during an errand and even though it's 25 mins from my house, I'm going to be coming back whenever I feel like having a sub. I had the turkey and provolone Brooklyn style. I mean. It was perfect. Tip- when you get something with bacon, if you say you want it crispy, it's SUPER crispy. I love it, but others may not. Not sure if Brooklyn Mike is related to Jersey Mike, but we had to try it. Sandwiches come regular size (6 inch), and large (12 inch). I had a meatball with provolone. Enjoyed it very much. Co-workers had a tuna, turkey, and pastrami. All were hits. The husband and wife behind the counter, very much Italian and obviously New Yorkers, were very friendly, and the prices were reasonable. Uber/Lyft would be my recommendation, but there is a paid parking garage down a couple of streets. We didn't need a reservation since we had a small party, but I would recommend if if you're coming with a party of four or more. We sat at the bar and ordered four dishes from different categories, which was a great way to sample the menu; though honestly I think we probably could have gotten away with just 3 dishes for a party of 2. We tried Yam Mamuang Boran (old-style green mango salad), Boo Pad Pong Garee (crab curry with ginger), Tom Yum Haeng Sen Yai (dry tom yum with wide noodles), and Naem Khao Tot (crispy rice salad with fermented pork sausage). The noodles and salad were definitely my favorite though everything was seasoned really well and incredibly flavorful. What I loved most was how thoughtfully prepared everything felt. I looked at the reviews like many of us and headed over. the reviews tell it all this place is amazing. the owners were very respectful, had great customer service and were extremely generous. I stopped by Brooklyn Mike's Subs yesterday and had the best turkey sandwich! It was packed with turkey slices.The staff was very professional and kind. I noticed as customers were coming in, the owner was greeting each one by first name- very impressive. Obviously these customers were returning customers! I recently ate at Brooklyn Mike's and was very thankful I did. I am from out of town and was driving to the airport when I decided to stop and pick up a sandwich. I am glad I did. The fresh baked bread was well stuffed with quality ingredients. The owner Mike was very personable and wanted to make sure I was pleased with my sandwich. Brooklyn Mike's is so good!! Please ignore the bad reviews and give this local sub shop a visit! The bread is super fresh, they're very generous with toppings, (and not just a bunch of lettuce) and their meat is sliced right in front of you. I had a turkey bacon cheese sub and the bacon was real and super crispy! (Not that garbage you get at Subway!) Also the staff is very friendly and remembers me every time I come in.
