The rice that was mixed in with the bowl also had a weird crunchy texture. Aside, the parking here was also a huge struggle. I hear they're building a CAVA location out my way in West Valley, so I would definitely try it again in hopes of a different and better experience.

The only part that was a little off was the burned in brand on the roll the cold salad was served in. The charred flavor with the salad was a little off putting. I just pinched off the burnt bits from the bread. Excellent fries! Service 4/5 - I sat at the bar. Bartender was nice, offered regular menu and restaurant week menu as well. Meal was brought by manager, fries were still piping hot. Bartender and manager checked back to make sure meal was to my liking. Ambiance 5/5 - Cute place. A lot of nice outdoor seating and seating inside but a bit less. All in all a great place with a nice complement of offerings! I will return. If only they had a fly through with rotisserie chicken to go, I would never think of Bandera again.

I really enjoyed it. The portion sizes were appropriate - - what we probably should be eating rather than the huge portions we normally get. I normally tip a minimum of 25%, but they added 18%. I just left it. I understand the need to include the gratuity with a larger party (somehow the server always seems to get the short end on those larger parties). I don't know if that's a normal thing, or a restaurant week thing because, to be honest, hubby always pays the bill. I do recommend this hidden gem of a place. If you're gluten sensitive, their cinnamon roll may be up your alley. It's hard to do GF for this sweet, but if I had the option of a regular one or this one, being gluten okay, I'd still go for the regular one. Dot cake tres leches was delcious, but pricey at $15. Understood it is GF, but even for that and knowing some other GG proce points, I think this would be better priced at $10. I'd come back to try so.e of their other goodies!
