Fig and walnut pizza

Even with 3 call outs everyone did a great job! Drinks and food were so yummy. We recommend the fried pickles and fig and walnut pizza. Also try the snow maiden drink soooo good.

We usually go there to get drinks and hang out. There's definitely plenty of room for a big group. The service is usually really good - everyone's friendly and helpful. The food is okay, not anything particularly special, but it's perfectly fine. The cheese steak was good, but I wouldn't recommend the Pickles Fries. Pizza is decent there, but you wouldn't exactly go there for pizza.

Went to this place in Malvern today for a work lunch, it was cute and rustic. Really cool furniture and decor and like an insane whiskey collection if you're into that, the black and bleu burger was alright the caramelized onions were really sweet but it was fairly balanced out by the Gruyère. Service was pretty quick though for a party of 9

I wish I had taken more photos, as I forget for our main course and desert. We have been to other locations but never to the Malvern location. It is a very nice ambiance with lots of wood and good light. Probably really nice with the large windows in summer. The soup was fine, it had good flavor but was very thin The crab and artichoke dip was also fine. I think the toast rounds were over done and too hard The pretzels were very good. The cheese dip was very nice. The bbq Mac n cheese was very tasty I really enjoyed my burger with the ham on it. It was cooked well and the fries were good The pizza was fine. I think we had the mushroom. Together the flavors did fine , but the crust it self was a bit bland. Personally the skillet deserts didn't pass the test. They were basic and not very flavorful.

4-starts for the service 3-stars for the food. We've gone twice and the food was tts best the first time. We got the mushroom pasta on both visits. The first time it was amazing. The second time it was a bit watery and could use more parm garnish The tuna stack was good but missing spice like chili oil or a wasabi compliment, nonetheless good and fresh, nice portion size. The ramen I would pass on. The broth is supposed to be tonkatsu and tasted more like a bland soup broth. Not enough broth, chicken was just grilled. No wow factor. All drinks were great. I would get pizza or the steak next time. I'm big on consistency so when we visited the second and the pasta was not like the first visit it was a bit of a bummer. The staff was wonderful and polite. I'd visit again and try some other dishes. Maybe give the pasta another go as it's a good dish. Nice artisan beverages and specials!

The new server (Liv) was friendly & apologized for the lack of knowledge. She recommended the excellent watermelon margarita. The pineapple one was just ok. The beers are not brewed there, but they Have ones from local as well as Ga, Oregon, etc. Large beautiful restaurant with a large bar & outdoor patio. The Shrimp Poboy came out on sliders and would be better on a hoagie bun, but overall tasted very good. The fries were OK. The burger was delicious. We would come here again if in the area

Something about Brick & Brew lured me in. I decided yesterday would be the perfect day to go as I was off from work. Met up with a friend during the usual weekday lunch rush but it wasn't busy whatsoever. Two customers were ahead of us, but we waited less than 5 minutes to be seated. We were seated at a high top table. I asked for the pineapple margarita and my jaw dropped at it's size. I was not expecting it to be massive but it was tasty. No appetizers were ordered but I took a photo of some apps listed on the menu and they all sounded fantastic. I went with the Roasted Beet salad as my meal. The vinaigrette dressing was delicious and the candied almonds added a nice crunch. I couldn't resist getting fries so I asked for a kids size French fry. I loved the decor and earthy feels this place had. The women's bathroom was clean and fully stocked, despite being a little dim. Parking was available when I arrived, but I can see how it might be difficult to park during Happy Hour or a sports event.

A Taste of Abruzzo in Bryn Mawr ?…read more Exit 13 isn't just a restaurant -- it's a warm, home-style escape straight into the heart of Abruzzo. The moment you walk in, the vibe hits you first: vibrant colors, rustic touches, and an ambiance that feels like stepping into someone's family dining room back in Italy. It's authentic, comforting, and alive with culture. The food? Unreal. Their **homemade bread** sets the tone -- rustic, fresh, and full of that old-world character. The **pizza** is on another level with dough that's so good it almost steals the show. Every pasta dish carries that handcrafted feel, the kind that tells you the recipe didn't come from a cookbook -- it came from memory. Appetizers are just as impressive, but the **grilled octopus** stands out as a true star. Perfectly cooked, deeply flavorful, and proof that Exit 13 puts heart into every dish. This is the kind of spot where the atmosphere and the food work together -- where the vibe feels like home and the flavors taste like heritage. Exit 13 doesn't just serve Italian cuisine. It brings Abruzzo to life. **A must-visit for anyone who loves real, soulful, authentic food.**

The service was very good: attentive and friendly. The ambiance is similar to Not Your Average Joe's in Ardmore with the upstairs/balcony seating and downstairs and big screen TV showing sports, but much noisier, especially as the upstairs also was filled with guests. By the time we left at 7:45pm after a 6:45pm reservation, it was loud enough that we had to fairly shout at each other to continue our conversation. The food was okay, except the salad which was excellent, but not worth returning for just the salad. - beet salad - 4.5/5, plentiful small diced red and yellow beets, avocado, arugula, a light dressing and burrato with crushed pistachios. a very solid starter salad and the server kindly split a large order into two small plates for us to share - fried calamari - 3/5, having just eaten at Estia last night which has a very good fried calamari, this one was not breaded as consistently and some of the pieces were a tad on the large side for a reasonable bite and too chewy to be cut with the fork or knife. - penne puttanesca - 3/5, my husband ordered this and while he not a self-proclaimed foodie, for him to say it was just okay means it was really just okay - linguine vongole - 3/5, points for the very plentiful offering of clams, i counted probably 20 generously sized clams (sometimes you get miniscule clams with this dish), but overall the sauce was too salty and there's not much you can do to fix that, and the linguine was a bit overcooked, definitely not even close to al dente We skipped dessert as by that point our ears were starting to ring with the high decibels coming from around us on the balcony and the floor below. It looked like a lot of people were having a good time so maybe it's just not for us.

It's certainly not the staff's fault and they've all been lovely, but it's been a significant wait every time we've come here. Moving to the food, it is phenomenal and why this place has a five star rating despite the above. The spinach artichoke dip and the tofu are both the best I've ever had at any restaurant ever. My husband got the steak sandwich and the bread was amazing and the steak was cooked perfectly as well. I got the curried cauliflower salad and the dressing was a bit too strong for me and unfortunately the salad was dressed very heavily. But the cauliflower was still cooked well. Despite the service situation, the food is so good that I will definitely be back.

I don't know if they raised prices during COVID, shrank portions, or if it was always a little imbalanced. It's not even a financial thing, I'm just still hungry after eating an entree. Curiously, the desserts are huge. Like shared for the table huge. The Pickle Pizza is excellent, as is the Steak Mac & Cheese. The Pork Taco are also really good and could sub for an entree for a light eater. Anyway, this place is my go-to before a show at 118 North across the street. I've never been disappointed, I just end up spending more than planned.

Great place to catch up with like minded sport, travel and political friends. Ron the bartender during the day is the GOAT of bartending in Chester county maybe all of PA. Secret thing to know is that they will roll up that "best of" cheesesteak into a wrap and put a fried egg and jalapeños in it if you're willing to give up a little of that incredible steak because you just can't get that much meat into a wrap! . Their fries are a must. I live in Arizona a lot of the year but always look forward to getting back to The Stone Tavern in the spring!

After reading a plentiful amount of reviews espousing the qualities of The Stone Tavern, and…read moreviewing some amazing looking photos of the food, a work colleague and I were excited to visit for lunch and try it out. We were promptly seated in a mostly full dining area just to the right of the entrance around 12:30 pm on a Thursday. The dining room was spacious with plenty of room between tables though the booths are a tad tight. A large bar area with lots of TVs looked appealing as well. Drinks were quickly ordered and served as we perused the menu. While we had both looked at the menu prior to coming, and had an idea of what we wanted, there were so many appealing options that we second guessed a little as we made the tough decisions to not order way more than we could consume. Finally we decided on The Hot Roast Beef Sandwich with fries, the Ribeye Cheesesteak with fries, and a bowl of the Tomato, Bacon Mac & Cheese with the agreement to split the sandwiches and mac & cheese so we could both try additional items. Three very full and visually appealing plates of food arrived quickly (about 10-12 minutes after ordering) and we were ready to dig in. First up was the Ribeye Cheesesteak with caramelized stout onions, truffled local mushrooms, and sharp provolone on a Liscio's roll. Immediately viewable was the limited amount of cheese that was only lining the roll and not mixed into the meat in any way. Biting into the sandwich revealed a dry meat with a distinctly non-cheesesteak flavor. It wasn't bad, but it just tasted like a bland steak and cheese sandwich. The sharp provolone didn't make it to the party and had no noticeable presence. After eating half of my portion I added some ketchup which helped some with the dryness. This was a 25 out of 5 and I wouldn't bother ordering it again. I also started to consume the shoestring french fries while I ate the cheesesteak, and they were delicious. Crisp with just the right amount of salt. 4.5 out of 5. Next up was the Hot Roast Beef Sandwich with thinly shaved Black Angus beef that is roasted daily, served with Au Jus, and horseradish sauce on a long roll. Topped with cheese and loaded with meat, this is what I was most looking forward to and couldn't wait to take a bite. I wish I hadn't! By itself, this was probably the blandest sandwich I have ever had in my life, while dipping into the Au Jus definitely improved the flavor, it still wasn't enough. I tried adding the horseradish sauce, but that was a sad approximation of real horseradish. Worst of all was the meat itself, where I had three different bites that were fatty/gristly and couldn't be chewed. Can't say I've ever had that from a roast beef sandwich before. 1.5 out of 5. Lastly, we had the Tomato, Bacon Mac & Cheese consisting of cavatappi pasta, applewood smoked bacon, and some diced tomato. This was sadly also a disappointment. The quality of the cheese left something to be desired and the sauce was very runny in consistency even after letting it sit for 10 mins while everything else was eaten. Another bland dish that neither of us even bothered to finish or box up to take home. Ketchup couldn't save this. 2 out of 5. Other than the fries, the only other bright spot was the service. Our waitress Isabella was polite, attentive, and performed her job well. Refilling drinks and making sure we were taken care of. 5 out of 5 for service. Affordability... for the three dishes and two Diet Cokes the total came to $57.27 with tax plus a $12 tip. The portion sizes were strong, but the flavor eliminated any value proposition. Overall, the food looked far better than it tasted and I was really disappointed in the meal. I had hoped I'd found a good local pub to take family and friends, but The Stone Tavern doesn't cut it. 2 out of 5 rating with no good reason to return.

We shared the Crispy Brussel Sprouts ($12 - Hoisin glaze, Sesame Seeds, Nori, Wasabi Mayonaise) and i think these may very be one of the best brussels I've ever had. Wow; they definitely blew me away and I am going to try to emulate the recipe at home. Both of us ordered the giant Wagyu Truffle Burger ($27 - Half-Pound Wagyu Beef Patty, Fontina Cheese, Crisp Prosciutto, "Frizzled" Onion Rings, Arugula, Truffle Aioli, Brioche Bun). This is a pricey burger but it was really good. Was it the best burger ever? Nah but I did enjoy it very much, however, I really couldn't taste too much truffle. You're definitely paying up for the Wagyu...I have had regular burgers that have been just as good as this Wagyu one but again, I did enjoy it. And it was huge and was packed with delicious stuff. Still, I'd even go as far as saying it was a standout burger compared to some others I have had. The rest of the items on the menu sounded appealing too. Prices were definitely comparable to where I'm from (L.A.) but this is suburban Philly so I don't know if they're high or not. Neat fact: The building dates back to 1746 and served historical figures during the American Revolution like George Washington, Marquis de Lafayette and Freiderick Wilhem Von Steuben. If you're in the area, I'd definitely recommend Black Powder Tavern.
