They deserve a zero star! On Saturday, 3/21/26, I thought I would give P.J. Whelihan's in Malvern a try. Never been to any P.J. Whelihan's (and I should have kept it that way!). I ordered Fire-Grilled Salmon and told the server Cameron I would like it little more done, no pink. It came looking quite appetizing. After working on 10 percent of it, I felt the fish was quite hard. I realized it was burnt. I turned the fish over and to my dismay, I saw the whole fish was black and burnt on the underside. The cook was smart to serve the good side up!! I lost my appetite and immediately asked for a box. I cut off all the 'burnt' (see picture). Cameron just said 'oh, sorry'??? Is this the quality and service of this restaurant? They should close down, seriously, as they are trying to trick and poison the customers. We all know eating burnt foods is unhealthy. read more

It's a sports bar with a typical menu and noise level, but it was clean and felt more bright and airy than some. This establishment has been a "local" for me, more or less since it opened in '17 or thereabouts. From that point forth, the menu has settled into very decent pub fare, and I always have something yummy to nom on whenever I am in, usually for ball games. I am not often seated at the tables, but the times I have enjoyed sit down dining, the experience has been great! I am going to bestow my greatest praise on the barstaff, since I am usually saddled up near them for a television on which I will watch a specific game. I will limit my accolades to the most recent experiences and staff, since I have had the chance to observe them most during this past summer. I am a HUGE soccer nut, so during the Euros, Copa America, and Olympic matches, I was there essentially every day. Rachel, Juliana (my favorite human being), Emma, and Alyssa are total RocknRollas!!!! These are without any shadow of a doubt the hardest working women I have ever seen in my life! Always in motion, always pouring, while keeping their eyes out and around and making sure everyone has everything that they need! These women are wonderful, diligent, and exceptional in every way! There was a stretch of the summer when I was in to watch these matches for eight or nine days in a row, and Rachel was there, bell to bell, each of these days, pouring great drinks for a full and appreciative bar, sometimes working solo, never a moment when her attention was off what anyone there needed. She is the Warrior Queen of Bartenders! ALL RESPECT!!! These efforts and actions are impressive on their face, but are delivered to your hands, palette, heart, and soul by the most amenable and sweet staff assembled, and that is the primary reason that I am in every week, and will continue to visit for as long as I remain in the area! This is a gush, I know, but it is warranted and well deserved! This place and its staff are a refuge and a bastion of bliss for anyone who needs fun, joy, and the sense that you are among friends. I was very pleasantly surprised by our meal at PJ's. Like many other reviews on here, we were staying at the hotel across the street and this was too convenient to skip. There are a gazillion TVs and a really impressive amount of tables. The service was really exceptional. Everyone was very nice and we didn't have to wait long for anything, especially the food, which came out suspiciously quickly. I was also impressed by the vegetarian options which were quite numerous. There were so many appealing options that GF and I ordered a bunch of things to share. We started with the buffalo brussels sprouts which, unlike pretty much every single other brussels sprouts app I have seen in recent memory, did not come with bacon or some other form of meat. The brussels were crisped up very nicely to the point where the layers were almost like tissue paper. The dipping sauce packed some spice and was very tasty. The only criticism I will offer is that I could also tell it was heavily salted and wouldn't want to see the aftermath of someone with heart failure eating that shit. We also ordered their pretzel bites as as I greatly prefer when more than one dipping sauce is offered (really should be, at a bare minimum, a cheese and a mustard, I mean let's get it together people) the cheese sauce here was quite good. We couldn't pass up their "famous fries" or whatever the fuck the ones with the old bay and cheese are. They are AGGRESSIVELY seasoned which is just the way I like it, a brick of flavor to the face. The intense seasoning pairs well with the warm cheese sauce. We shared the beyond burger and I very much appreciated its inclusion on their menu. I requested the side salad which earned me side eye from GF but, as I frequently say to defend myself, I like some roughage for the bowels. After seeing the salad, GF felt badly because it was solid for a side salad. They were also kind enough to give us the burger halves on 2 separate plates and 2 very decently-sized "side" salads with cherry tomatoes, cukes, spring mix, and croutons. The drinks were very enjoyable as well. I ordered a blueberry lemon margarita and GF the orange crush as well as something from their tap. We took the cookie something dessert home and it was chunks of cookie and brownie with vanilla ice cream and chocolate sauce AND caramel sauce. This was pure heaven. We stayed at a nearby hotel for a night and made our way over the PJs, as the menu caters to kids as well. Wasn't quite sure if it would be stellar based on mixed reviews but I'm happy to report our experience was great! On a busy Saturday evening the four of us were seated right away. Our server was pleasant and attentive. The kids loved the crayons and kids menu. The interior is massive, way bigger than it looks from the road. The ambiance is casual with a warm industrial feel. The gazillion TVs was entertaining, maybe slightly overstimulating for us all. The food was excellent! My chili was so hearty, tasty and actually spicy as advertised. The onion rings were crispy and the star of the evening were the wings. Some of the best honey bbq wings we've ever had, crunchy and juicy. The kids loved their mac & cheese, it's nice that their meals come with a dessert. We definitely would make our way back when passing through the area! On a side note, the bathrooms were very clean. The prices are very reasonable. Great dinner out at PJs, would certainly return and recommend to those looking for some low key good eats that caters to all food palates! read more

We had a nice dinner for eight the other night. The food was on par for a sports bar and the staff was friendly and accommodating. One complaint, half the wait staff and servers did not have their hair tied up. I wouldn't even have noticed, except we did have one hair incident. Enough said,. My co-worker came here for dinner after we checked in to the hotel next door. The place was certainly hopping, but we were able to find a table. Appetizer we shared: buffalo cauliflower. The cauliflower was crunchy and was a nice size portion. I really enjoyed them, but they were spicy. I totally forgot I was eating vegetables. Entree: Philly Cheesesteak. Tried a classic Philly dish. Plus I had not had one for so long. It was very good. Nicely seasoned. But, there was not enough cheese. The cheese was all under the meat and was mostly on the bread. The kettle chips were also pretty good. My co-workers also came here on St. Patricks's day for a drink. The place was so busy. But, it was really nice to relax with a drink. It's been so long since I have been out to eat out at the restaurant itself. The seatings outdoor are spread apart far adhering to the socal distancing (to others... Kinda defeats the purpose when you have a party of 8). The staff is friendly as always and they also follow all the precautions. They are super clean about everything so no worries there. The food is plumpy as ever. Wings are still good and the best part, half of Tuesdays still! I do think the process increased by $1 but.. whatever... Times are tough and we need to help out. I ordered chicken tenders entree for $12.49 and I was very dissatisfied when I found out that they are completely processed. They are not whole white breast meat, rather they have the consistency of a sponge. For that price I would expect better quality, like real chicken meat, and more than 4 tenders. Very disappointing. The serving sizes are incredibly small for the price. My wife and I ordered out tonight and we both got the fish and chips. The portion was laughably small and my fish was undercooked and the batter was doughy on the inside. On top of that the Cole slaw portions were nothing more than a spoonful and were sour as if they were made days ago. I subbed a salad for my fries and it was the only appropriately sized part of the dinner. My wife subbed onion rings for her fries and while they tasted good there were only 5 onion rings for a dollar up charge. I understand that takeout in the time of COVID isn't going to be as fresh as eating in, but the portion size and quality was so disappointing that it can't be attributed to the fact it was takeout. read more

We came here for three quarters of the Eagles/Bucs game on a Thursday night, having come from an underwhelming experience at Sly Fox down the road for the 1st quarter. We were seated immediately, and our server (Samantha) greeted us right away and noted that she'd give us a minute with the beer menu before returning. Despite the volume of guests for the game, she was always on time, pleasant, and in control of the service. She also promptly got one of the TVs in front of us switched to the game after we asked. We had been here once before (no review), so knew that the beer menu would be well balanced and varied. We were not disappointed. The only ding on this visit was that our burgers were overcooked- I ordered medium and received well done. My date ordered medium rare and got medium well. So, they were up two full temps in each case. It was not worth noting to out server at the time as we were hungry. This, along with so-so service on the previous visit account for the one star deduction. In the end, it is a great place to watch a game and Samantha is a pro. This place is always crowded for both lunch and dinner and I honestly don't understand why other than convenience because the food is no more than mediocre. The Asian Zing wings pictured were the best part of our meal and they're just the wings of the month and will be gone by February. I had the salmon salad and the flavors just didn't make sense. The Mister had the garlicky brisket sandwich and it was DRY DRY DRY! Even with the BBQ sauce and cheese. We never really do chain establishments and this is why. I used to frequent this location often but they have drastically gone down hill. My husband and I arrived at 1025p on a Friday. The bar was.. busy. Not crowded at all. We finally flagged someone down and asked to be seated. She walked to a table and told us the kitchen closes at 1045. That was our greeting. I asked for at least a menu, which she provided. Our waitress came less than enthused to take our drink order and ask if we were ready! I said we'd like to look at the menu. She comes back to take our order and as I'm pointing out what I want, she looks at her watch! Hmmm ok. So our food comes.. I ordered the wicked chicken nachos. I received a plate of tortilla chips and fried chicken crumbles. I asked the waitress, after hailing her like a cab, if I could possibly get cheese on my nachos. She replied there's cheese on there but if you want more... It was when I was completely dissatisfied with my tortilla chips that I asked for a bowl of soup. Emerson did not let me down and LOOKED AT HER WATCH, AGAIN! Needless to say, this was our last visit here. We came here for a pre-wedding dinner and were very impressed by the service and attentiveness as well as the food quality and presentation. We reserved the back room which was very spacious and comfortable. The buffet included fresh shrimp, chicken tenders that were crispy and tender and a fresh variety of fruit. We decided to have a quick dinner at the newly opened PJ's and it was better than expected. We honestly expected there to be chaos and a lot issues, but there really wasn't anything bad. We did have a mess up while the guy was trying to deliver got stuck between a mom and her 25 kids, which caused the guy bringing out our food to drop half our sandwich, but they promptly had a replacement and apologized a bunch of times. I've been to other Pjs and this was certainly the better of the 4 or 5 I've been too. Location is perfect too! read more
