4 of the 9 nachos drenched in some kind of tasteless sauce
    Jason C.

Well service was friendly and the chatty bartender knew her beers. That's a plus. Beer was good but not great. Pros: happy hours on Friday and Saturday. That's not common at all. Plenty of affordable apps on the menu and $6 drafts. Nice deal Nice historic Inn with some old touches left alone. A smaller dining area in the front and larger area in back as well as a bar. Cons. Decor. Lightning a bit harsh, like a grocery store. Tables chairs are petty cheap looking. The bar seating is small but decent seating area. Back room looks like a high school cafeteria. Very Open bunch of tables and same cheap seating. No cozy booths that you'd expect Food. Only had the pork nachos. Nice size plate with only 9 square flat but delicate nachos. Good for happy hour app but if it's the same size for other times it is a bit small Taste. Well the pork was tender and seemed nicely seasoned. The reason I said seemed is because it was absolutely drowning in some kind is herbed sauce. I mean swimming in it. So way overloaded it was dripping wet and such a mess we needed a second set of napkins. Too much for hand food. Tasted bland as well. Supposedly was crème fraiche Would have been an interesting sour cream replacement if it was not so slightly seasoned it did not add a thing except more wetness than my dogs' slobber (and less tasty) they also were supposed to have a cheese sauce that was not noticeable at all in contrast to the oodles of white sweat sauce. I assume the recipe said "drizzle" the sauce on and the chef thought it said "drench". It would probably save the pace hundreds of dollars in sauce per month by not using such a huge amount. I will likely give the place another try and might even order the nachos again but sauce(s) on the side to get a chance to drizzle myself and taste the pork Pic included

Great spot for a yummy lunch or dinner! The pizzas were all delicious and a good size to split or take home leftovers. There was a bar on the other side of the place that we went to after dinner which was fun. There is plenty of room for larger parties / families and a wide range of delicious options on the menu - I'd recommend for a family / groups. The food did take a little longer than we thought to come out, but the service and food were good!

Always nice to see a new joint in the hood, right? limited review: I can't comment on the food, but we stopped in for a craft cocktail to check it out. Pros: the interior revisions are beautiful - kudos for design/architecture; very friendly and quick service, wide ranging, mid-tier menu with a little something for everyone? Beer selection embraces other brands... Cons: the 2 cocktails we ordered were simply too sweet (one was a sour and the other an old fashioned) for our taste. @ $14 a pop, wasn't willing to "go there" again. IMHO - more attention to detail before i'd reconsider on that front. Didn't try the beer as the only "house beers" were IPA's at this point. So i'm torn - will likely try it again, sans craft cocktails, to see if the food makes up for the whiff on that front.

Different cheesesteak #1055 in the last five years. Special Wednesday drinks and cheesesteaks with Amigo Dan. They are in the newly renovated historic Ship Inn building. We loved our Old Fashions. The Prime Rib cheesesteak was very good but at $19 it needed more meat. You can see a lot of roll in my pictures. High quality ingredients.

I am a big foodie and when I saw that the ship inn, where I had fond memories of working as a server, was gone I had to check it out. Walking in was a breath of fresh air! The staff was welcoming and the beer brewed by VK was refreshing! I ordered the buffalo wings & they gave us soo many it was perfect for sharing, cooked well done and delicious with a little kick, we also had the cheesesteak, which was perfect for 2! It was made with caramelized onions and mushrooms, which is my favorite soo delicious. Served on a toasted sesame seed bun and the quality of the beef was superb and tasty, I loved it! It was the best cheesesteak I've had in a long time I got the cheese sauce on the side and it was perfect for dipping the fresh Crispy Fries that are served with all the sandwiches, for dessert The smoky Manhattan was perfect! Great job Y'all can't wait to come back for more

Wow - what an improvement over the previous Ship Inn!! The same location and same building but the vibe has turned from an old stuffy boring place where blue haired grand mothers go to a vibrant cool brew pub!! During my first visit, the restaurant and bar were packed so we had a few drinks by the bar while we waited 30 minutes for a table. Bar tenders and wait staff were very friendly and attentive. The margarita with salt foam was great and also had a very nice Manhattan. Food was good - my wife had a burger and I had the mussels. Only issue is that their license has not been finalized yet for their own beers so they are currently serving canned beers. Once they start selling their own brews this will definitely be a place I will visit on a regular basis!

Those are the most important things for a brewery/taproom to get right, and Levante absolutely does. That said, the taproom can get very loud. If there's a band playing or bingo taking place, having a conversation can be tough. Some people like raucous bars, but I like to be able to shoot the breeze when I'm drinking and actively avoid these events. I also wish they worked with more food trucks that have at least one vegetarian option on the menu. Barbecue or glizzy trucks mean I'm going elsewhere to get my drink on. (A few years ago they ran their own top-notch pizza truck, and if they brought it back, I would probably try to move in.) Anyway, my complaints are minor. Levante is one of my favorite PA breweries; they have great beer and great people, and they deserve every bit of their success. Cheers!

I love that they have a few frozen drink options and also on-tap rotating seasonal mixed drinks. I believe they have wine and some NA options too. We frequent here for bingo Sundays and they also have trivia and a few other weekly events. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. They have rotating food trucks but you can also bring your own food as well. There is indoor and a covered outdoor area for seating with a great ambiance & vibe. Children and dogs are welcome. After my second hike no question that I wanted to come back here for another visit. Station Taproom is an attractive and comfortable pub with what I found to be an unexpected menu. Many dishes had an Asian influence, but with the additional plus of showcasing some exciting combinations of ingredients. VEGAN BANH MI ::: I had this on my first visit. The sandwich was made with plant-based meatballs, along with carrots, cucumber, plus much more in the mix. (I detected a note of hoisin in the mix, though not mentioned in the menu). "Meatballs" were definitely unexpected in a banh mi. WONTON NACHOS ::: On my second visit to the Taproom, which was last week, I had "wonton nachos". As per the menu, some of the ingredients were "hoisin-berry BBQ pork" as well as mozzarella and pepper jack, and wonton chips. Presentation was important, and I could see that they had spent extra time in plating the dish. A finishing touch was the "micro cilantro" that was delicately sprinkled over the top. I love cilantro, but had never seen it in "micro" form. It was very fresh, wondering now whether they grew it themselves. BEERS ::: On both my visits, "Rachel" made excellent recommendations for hazy IPA's. Great experiences both times.

Anywho - their Exton location (recent addition to the area - may a year or so ago?) - ran a Veterans Day promotion this year - free sandwich of your choice, side and drink (not beer). I am finally at that stage in life where i can take advantage of the offer so i dropped in to partake. Wow - was i pleasantly surprised. Super friendly bartender was happy to oblige. I got the taphouse burger which is normally $13.95 I believe with fries. The trend around these parts for many of these places to serve "gourmet burgers" priced anywhere from $18-$30. This burger was so much better than many of the ones I've had in other places it was a real eyeopener. I appreciated the Veterans Day nod - but what i really like is there is a place nearby to get a great burger and beer for the price of a burger alone at most of these "higher end" places (White Dog take note).
