She tried to argue certain things and say she knows the server told us, despite her not being there when we ordered. This is not a good way to win over a new customer who had not been there before and doesn't know anything about your place. There are a lot of very good breakfast places in the area, and I go out to breakfast frequently (as you can tell from my many breakfast reviews). It's doubtful I will return again as I did not find the place friendly. The Collegeville Diner is much closer to me if I want a diner, and there are so many other places where the service is very friendly and quick. This is not one of them. The owner did make adjustments to the bill, but was not nice about it. (They seem to make a big deal about using Dave's Killer Multigrain bread, see owner's response to this review, which I've never had and don't care about. Who tells you that multigrain is one of the choices and then charges you more after the fact because you chose it?) You can go to Nook & Kranny and get fresh baked bread from local LeBus bakery without any extra charge. For my dining partner, it was her second time here and she had a negative experience the first time, where service was also slow and her food arrived cold. The only reason we gave it a try was that she said it was very busy at the time, so our logic was that it must be pretty good if it was that packed. It was not packed this time and service was still not great and the food was not good enough to offset the service. We have no desire to give it a third chance.

When the check came the total bill came to $43. Unbelievable. But it gets better. They offer a ten percent discount to veterans and police officers. Awesome brewery!! The beers are rediculously good. And the owners are basically home brewers. So good. These guys have 3 nitro taps. The Peanut Butter Brown on nitro is so good. And it was cool getting a thrown together tour with no notice. The owners seem very passionate about beer brewing. They're not beer snobs, but very critical about what they make. The crowd ranged from young early 20 somethings to an older retired crowd. half the room was locals and the rest were from around the area. One guy was from all the way in Philly- road his bike up the Schuylkill trail to come here! We had a great time. Next weekend we'll bring our dog as they are dog friendly. Tuned Up bartender here (who's also a school teacher)! My 15 year old daughter also works here (the staff is like family) and my husband and 7 year old child love coming for board games and Brunch and Monday karaoke kulture night! The kölsch definitely stood high head above the rest but they were all very good and perfectly brewed. Not an off flavor or heavy note in site, even in the darker styles. Just promo quality craftsmanship all around. If Von C were closer to where I lived, I would definitely be coming here more often, and I can honestly say that I am jealous of those of you who do live nearby. We do have several pretty good breweries in Delco, but after having been exposed to them for a good amount of time, they just don't have the same oomph that I am usually looking for in beer. I do like the ability to buy 5 oz pours to create your own flights.
