Fun brewery where dogs are allowed inside and outside!
    Mel M.

AUDUBON, PA: just a few minutes away from Phoenixville is Bald Birds Brewing, a craft brewery with an indoor and outdoor tasting room that is dog friendly! We always like to order a flight at a new place and we had over 12 beers to choose from! There are also select cocktails available. Your pup will be happy with a treat from their cookie jar. You can bring your own food and have a nice time in their cozy tasting room. We enjoyed the wood paneling and decor and loved the TVs along the wall to watch the game. You can even play video games on arcade systems. A perfect place for the whole family!

Came in for a beer flight on a busy Saturday afternoon. Plenty of parking, but also plenty of dogs and kids around this place. Some decent IPAs here, but the show-stopper was the Cozy Dream Porter. Sadly, this place has a food truck that looked closed for some time. I would've loved to get a pretzel to pair with the beer, but this was not an option. They also have pool and arcade games, but these were busy when we walked by.

Much needed addition to the area. Been there since the Opening Day, and fell in love with it immediately. I prefer interesting IPAs but always try different styles, and Bald Birds provides exactly that. They have 12 taps that provide big enough variety to accommodate broad range of interests, rotation is frequent enough to make every trip worthwhile, and their beer is always solid. They also have wine and spirit, and can some nonalcoholic drinks for the kids. The taproom is huge, from picnic tables to high tops to bar seats, it welcomes different sizes of groups and families. The patio is big, so dogs are welcome as well. I miss the events they used to run. Hopefully they will come back after everything is back to normal. They have variety of food trucks come by. I would choose them over their own hotdogs though I understand they had to have some food while it was required but the state, and appreciate the effort they made so that we could still enjoy their beer. The staff is knowledgeable and MOST of them are friendly and attentive. I have to take a star off here, because while I appreciate the brewmasters serve their beer, some of them should not be servers. Last note, there's an ongoing groupon deal that's a steal. Overall, I recommend Bald Birds to all my beer lovers.

A wonderful beer hall! Some of the best drinks in the brewery game! Currently they don't offer food but you can bring your own or order in! Huge venue. Lots of games to play. Bartenders are top notch!

Samplers! The handwriting was a little hard to decipher but a great variety to try!

We headed over to Bald Birds to check it out on a lazy weekend afternoon - it was supposed to start snowing later in the evening, so we figured we would get out while we could. The brewery has a large deck which will be awesome come summer and the inside is pretty spacious. They have a variety of lounge areas and picnic tables. The building is spacious and has a cool vibe. There's also a popcorn machine and water stand so you don't have to hit the bar for a little H2O. They had a variety of their beers on tap and there was something for all tastes. On top of that they had games - both board games and video games, making sure kids of all ages are happy. The staff was very knowledgeable and happy to share information about the brewery, when they started, where they may be headed, etc. We hadn't remembered our growler but were able to take home two crowlers to enjoy later that night. We are excited to pack a dinner/buy from a food truck if there's one there and enjoy this place again!

The atmosphere is cool. The bartenders are friendly and informative. The beer is great. The trivia is BAD. The guy they have running it is a hot mess and spends most of the time judging people for not sharing his music taste. I understand bar trivia is a casual thing, but this guy has no professionalism about it. We won't be back on trivia night.

Chill place with various types of beer that is priced well. Many seats inside or outdoors. Dogs are welcome. They don't serve any food, but you can order in or sometimes there's a food truck on premises.

Poor service. If you're closed for a private event, please post it on your website. No one answered the phone all night either.

We got a cheesesteak with fried onions and beer cheese. It came with French Fries. The beer cheese is creamy and adds a ton of flavor to the cheesesteak. I loved my beer. It was named 'Eaten Alive' in honor of 'The Blob.' Great space. Bar, table, and outside seating. You can hear in the video. It can get a little loud inside. The bartender was friendly and helpful. What kept this from being a top-five stop? The roll. It wasn't a bad roll, but this cheesesteak deserves a much better/complementary roll

We split chicken nachos, I ordered the Impossible burger with a Cesar salad, and husband ordered the bbq brisket Mac and cheese. The good: portion sizes were massive. We both took home enough food to be an additional meal. Salad was also very fresh. Unfortunately the chicken and brisket were very dry. Mac and cheese was super oily, like sitting in a bowl of oil. Service was also very slow. I would come back for a drink on the patio, but probably skip anymore food.

The food is still very good, but the past three visits service was very slow for us and it has taken almost an hour to get our food. Our appetizers and meals have come out at the same time. What really jarred us was what occurred on our most recent visit a few weeks ago. During this visit our server/bartender gave me a second cocktail with an orange slice that someone had taken a bite out of (and it was not me ). So, he had clearly dumped someone else's older drink contents into another glass and gave it to me with the Old Fashioned mixture or he bit the orange himself. I was halfway through my drink when I finally noticed or I would have said something right away. Yikes!

Nothing life-changing, but there's enough variety to keep you from complaining too much. Usually a couple decent IPAs--I've been into Coastal Quest lately, so there's that. Food? Also fine. Specials? Also... fine. But credit where credit's due: the Italian Grinder Pizza actually fantastic! RIP Happy Hour beer deals, which is a choice I will continue to side-eye. Ordering is easy enough up at the bar and you can get both food and drinks from the bartender. Food came out relatively slowly for the fairly muted crowd of people, but came out as it was ready so nothing was cold. We got nachos, smash burgers, and a brat. The nachos were pretty bad. They use nacho cheese on them and a lot of it so you wind up with just a goopy pile that's incredibly messy. The "smash burgers" were just regular burger patties that were cupped pretty badly so I'm guessing they were just frozen and thrown on the cook top. Beers were all solid, as you would expect from Sly Fox. I would probably go back again for drinks, but skip the food.

The space itself is massive and well laid out, making it ideal for groups while still feeling comfortable and relaxed. Even better, it is kid friendly, which makes it a great option when you want a brewery vibe without excluding the whole family. The drink program really shines here. The beer lineup was solid across the board, with styles for just about everyone. What surprised us most was the cocktail menu. They were running seasonal Christmas renditions, including an Old Fashioned that was festive without being gimmicky and genuinely excellent. It is refreshing to find a brewery that takes cocktails seriously. Food came out quickly and was better than expected. Everything we tried was tasty, but their take on the traditional Philly cheesesteak stood out and is absolutely worth ordering. Plates, utensils, and water are all self service. If you want to sample some more beers. You must order them through the app as well. This discouraged us from ordering more than we would have had there been an actual waiter/waitress. The lack of personal interaction was disheartening. The food was decent but nothing exceptional as we sampled the wings. Buffalo chicken egg rolls and cheese steak. We would have opted to order some desert "bombs" as well but again, the lack of wait staff had us reluctant to splurge. From what we could see the venue offers lots to do with corn hole, bingo nights, live music and more but we came on a weeknight with nothing going on. I would think if we came on an event night we may have had a different experience. Granting stars for the cleanliness, possible potential for live music, the edibility of the food but for us it's a one and done.
