Hot day, good day for a drink
Julie W.

We had a great time! There isn't much in the way of shade outside, but we sat by the wall, right next to another family. The kids enjoyed watching each other and it was a relief for both families to be seated next to another one. Stable 12 must use corn meal in their batter, which made the fried foods a little gritty. The fried pickles could have been thicker slices too. But let's talk about the main course. We shared the GOAT burger and pulled pork sandwich. The meat was amazing. Jam and soft cheese on the burger, great beer bbq sauce on the pork. We upgraded to fries for both, one normal the other sweet potato, and those were great too. We couldn't finish it all although we tried! The beers were decent too. We just had the nicest time.

This is charred not crispy

We always go to Stable 12 because their food and service has always been wonderful. Not today. I ordered a smash burger, which I have had in the past. it came out charred. When I told the waitress, she told me "they are always crispy some people are taken aback by that." There is a big difference between crispy and inedible! She offered to get me something else but I was told "they have a big party in the back, so it will take awhile." She took $8.00 off the price, but the entire hamburger, except for two bites remained on the plate. I once again told her it was inedible when she brought the check, and she said, "I did offer to get you something else." She did offer to get me one to go when she brought the check, but again, I would have had to wait "awhile" and pay for additional parking. Not going back!

PHOENIXVILLE, PA: there are a bunch of breweries in town and the surrounding area, so if you like craft beers, come to Phoenixville!! Stable 12 Brewing Company is a nice brewpub with dog friendly outdoor seating in the beer garden! A server will take your order and may ask to take a photo of your pup for their other Instagram page that features all the dogs that come to visit! stable12puparazzi We really enjoyed the Over The Moon Hefeweizen and the loaded tots were amazing! The menu has sandwiches, burgers, tacos, and salads too. Your pup can even enjoy a treat with a doggie menu that supports the Phoenixville Animal Rescue! The beer garden has picnic tables surrounded by warm colors and plants. At night, it's nice and cozy with a warm glow from string lights. We had a really nice time here and it's great for your pup!

Super Mash Brothers

A fun and casual brewery. Stopped by the other night for some beers outside and had a good time. Normally not the biggest IPA fan, but Super Mash Brothers was pretty good. Will definitely return to try some of the food.

I've been to a few breweries in Phoenixville, and Stable 12 is definitely my favorite. The food is delicious and they have a great selection of beers (and ciders and spiked seltzer's for non-beer drinkers like myself). To top it all off, staff is friendly and I'm very happy with how they've been handling the pandemic. Like I previously mentioned, I'm not really a beer drinker but I enjoy the seltzers and ciders they carry. I recently tried the ReVibe peach-passion seltzer and loved it. So much so that I went and purchased a 4 pack the next day! My go-to cider is Stone and Key cherry pie! Everything I have had from their food menu has been worthy of five stars. Out of everything I've tried, the G.O.A.T. burger and cheesesteaks are my favorites. For the cheesesteak, I recommend the ribeye with provolone and add fried onions and mushrooms (additional $0.50 each). You'll thank me later! *PRO TIP: 25% off cheesesteaks with a beer purchase on Thursdays!* Stable 12 has both indoor and outdoor seating, which has been especially helpful during the pandemic. Tables are 6 feet apart, staff is masked at all times, and they require customers to wear masks unless actively eating or drinking. As of March 11th when I last visited, they are allowing indoor dining although that is something I have not experienced yet during the pandemic. If you are near the Phoenixville area, I would recommend checking this place out! Whether just for drinks, food, or both, it is a solid spot!

Killer blonde stout on nitro!

Ok. Stable 12 has turned a big corner for me. Beers have been solid recently and their outside space is a great way to relax and feel safe during the pandemic. Service very good this past Wednesday, great special on wings. Just with their hummus plate ($11) was more creative. Menu stayed mixed veggies. Celery and green pepper. Already had a ton of celery from the wings. Please work on this. Carrots, cauliflower, broccoli, even a tri color pepper option would be nice.

Fiancé and I have been excited to come here for a while, as we've been driving past all the time and seeing a vibrant and fun-looking outdoor patio! Although the rain kept us all inside, still a fun and happening place to be, with people of all ages here to enjoy. Tables close together definitely made it very difficult to avoid eavesdropping...! My fiancé and I found the drink selection a bit lacking. They have about 75% IPAs; since that's not our thing, he got the Kolsh--tasted hoppier than your average IPA! I got the cider, which unfortunately didn't carry ask much taste as I'd like. The food was totally on point, and we will absolutely come back for more. The BBQ was delicious. The Alabama white sauce was very yummy--tastes a lot like ranch, so I recommend getting a 2nd sauce to round out the flavor profile. Loaded fries were decent. Homemade potato chips were so crispy and delicious. My fiancé got the southwest burger (not pictured). He enjoyed it, and great for if you enjoy spice!

Impossibly Pickled impossible burger - delicious!

Great brewery with a pleasant, relaxed atmosphere and a shockingly good selection of vegan food items! They now have an entire section of impossible burger variations. I got the impossibly pickled burger which was delicious. The beer was good too. Can't wait until I'm back in Phoenixville to try this place again.

Plenty of outdoor seating in the "beergarten" equipped with hand sanitizer stations

On an exceptionally hot afternoon we found Stable 12 through Groupon and since they had a "beer garten" we could safely eat outside during the COVID crisis. Plenty of room and spaced adequately apart spotted with hand sanitizer stations the outdoor seating was COVID safe. The aroma of deliciousness wafted through the hot summer air and one could tell that in addition to brewing beers, smoking was done here on site as well. Our masked waitress greeted us and provided a chilled glass bottle of water for us to start off with. Informing us of the new legislation that food must be ordered if we wanted drinks (not necessary as it was merely 1 in the afternoon and we came specifically for lunch) She immediately asked for a "card to start our tab off", we complied and then perused the menu. There were plenty of offerings, I opted for the chicken nachos and he the meat lovers burger. Both ranked far superior to most Pub fare. Nachos with fresh pulled chicken, tomatoes that tasted right off the vine and "Alabama white" I am unsure what it was but it topped them off perfectly. The burger was slightly cooked a little more than requested but tasty nonetheless. Due the extreme heat we asked for ice for our drinks, only to be told "we don't have any" questioning this she replied with, "yeah, we don't do ice" Bizarre, but whatever, (maybe they lost the recipe) we drank our now warm drinks without it. The place was not crowded on a Friday afternoon, and despite the heat we enjoyed our meal and would most likely return when in the area. A definite to recommend to anyone in the Phoenixville area.

It's grilled chicken and the flavor of the grilled chicken over powers any caesar-ness to it. Still very good though. The vibe was great being able to look out the window and watch the downtown. Only complaint were the few gnats/flies that kept bothering us. Such is with any restaurant window seat. I'd sit closer in next time and see if that help. Would come back again

Special Saturday drinks and cheesesteaks with Amigo Dan. Rebel Hill makes its own beer cheese. I asked the nice bartender if they would make me a cheesesteak with the beer cheese, and he said yes. We got a cheesesteak with fried onions and beer cheese. It came with French Fries. The beer cheese is creamy and adds a ton of flavor to the cheesesteak. I loved my beer. It was named 'Eaten Alive' in honor of 'The Blob.' Great space. Bar, table, and outside seating. You can hear in the video. It can get a little loud inside. The bartender was friendly and helpful. What kept this from being a top-five stop? The roll. It wasn't a bad roll, but this cheesesteak deserves a much better/complementary roll

They wear masks, follow social distancing guidelines, and always offer snack items - I like that Rebel Hill follows the rules. Their beers are solid. They recently released a bitter called Cross Keys. It's probably the best bitter I've ever had. They're going to cask it soon, much to the excitement of my boyfriend. Rebel Hill is one of the few breweries we've come across offering cask during COVID. I've tasted pretty much every beer on their menu, from pilsner to sour to stout, and they're always well-made and delicious. They also offer 5oz. pours if you want to try a few different things. Prices are competitive, about $6-7/pint. There is plenty of parking, and the brewery is accessible for everyone. Rebel Hill also has a plethora of outdoor seating if you're feeling the need for extra sunshine, and there are two TVs inside, typically broadcasting whatever Philly sport is playing. If you're looking for food, look elsewhere. Rebel Hill is simply complying with Tom Wolfe rules, but they do have a banging pizza pop-up on Fridays! I always look forward to stopping at Rebel Hill.

It seems to me every brewpub in this part of the country caters to the IPA crowd. Not sure if that's because those are the people that frequent brewpubs- or if the customer base that appreciates more balanced recipes stays away because of the severe lack of same. My favs here were Mutt and Perfectly Imperfect. A bit less hoppy than the others with a more complex character. To be fair the saison is not hoppy but I'm not that big a dad on fan. In general this is well crafted beet with distinct flavors - I just wish somebody would buck the current trend of hopping everything up. I do like the ability to buy 5 oz pours to create your own flights.
