Trouble's End is a nice spot to grab a bunch of apps and watch a game after riding 10 miles on the trail. My daughter and I stopped here a couple months back and while the visit went a little sideways, we'll definitely be trying it again the next time we ride in the area. First problem was that they took a reservation for 3:15 when they don't have an actual food menu until 4:00. Prior to that it's beer and a few simple snacks. They were upfront about that though when we arrived and we decided to order some hummus and park for 45 minutes to order duck fries that my daughter desperately wanted. Unfortunately, 43 minutes later the waitress came over and told us they didn't have any... At that point though we were committed and ordered a bunch of stuff to try. We really enjoyed the Disco Tots with Brisket, the Pretzel Buns, the Hummus, and the Pork Belly Grilled Cheese. The Nachos, on the other hand, were a giant disappointment because there was basically no cheese on it. The waitress didn't seem surprised when we mentioned it and quickly offered to take it off the bill. Overall it was a good meal, though we were both really hoping for some Duck Fries... Great brewery outside of Philly. All the beers were extremely delicious. I had two IPAs and a Pale Bitter on Cask. Definitely know what they are doing beer wise. Food- a bit mixed for me. I ordered the mussels which were okay. The broth in the description sounded amazing but was lacking a bit of flavor. The fries though were exceptional. Troubles End brewing is the perfect example of service goes a long way. While out antiquing. We always like looking for new spots to try Troubles End had plenty of good reviews on both yelp and Google and it wasn't far off of our path so we decided to check it out. Upon entering, we were asked if we had reservations which we did not nor did we know we needed them - it seems as though they often have live bands, so the tables fill up quickly. We had said we were just passing through and did not know at that point he asked how long we were planning on staying and that there was a table available, but it was reserved for an hour and a half later. We joked and said that all depends on your kitchen... They laughed and we were seated. Our waiter was not far behind and was eager to share all of the specials and go over the menu. We ordered our drinks and when he came back, we questioned him on his personal choice between two menu items. In the end, I opted for a chicken sandwich and he took the advice of the waiter and ordered the burger that was on special. We shared some nachos and when our entrées arrived. The burger was all the waiter had claimed it to be and more, juicy filling cooked perfectly delicious down to the last bite. My chicken sandwich, however, was less than so as it had a ranch sauce on it that my intuition had told me to have put on the side. The ranch was overwhelming and drowned it out. The taste of the chicken through no fault of the kitchen, staff or our waiter simply my own error that I should have ordered it on the side. After the waiter took our bill to run it through the cashier, the friendly face from the front came by to make sure our first experience was satisfactory. I cannot stress enough, how much this affects how I feel about a place when management is willing to take the time to make sure that customers are satisfied. It add stars to the review. What would have been a four star review easily jumped to no questions asked five star review. Five stars go to superior service and Trouble's End crew was that and more from the minute we walked in the door to our waiter and others we encountered, we felt welcomed and valued Troubles End in Collegeville is definitely on the list for when we are in the area - with the knowledge now to get reservations and be able to enjoy the bands . read more

I got the Vinology wine to drink and loved it - menu says it's brewed just for them and I would come back just for that. For an app, we got the beer mussels. They weren't my favorite, sauce a bit bland, mussels a bit gritty with a few that were not open. Would recommend getting another app. For my entree, I did the chilled noodle salad. While this place is nicely decorated and the service is friendly, the food is just below average both in flavor and in value. I had the brisket Reuben sandwich--for $15, the French fries that came with the sandwich looked gross and tasted bad too. My husband had the $24 pork sausage board, which has two sausages, potato salad, some pink cabbage and five tiny slices of pretzel bread--the value is a joke. Canned soda is $3 and my tiny hard seltzer is $5 (neither of us could barely taste any alcohol in it; it just tasted like some regular seltzer). The draft beer list has some interesting items. There were a lot of Saison's on the menu. Not really my beer of choice so needed to find other options. There were only a few dark beers on the menu. The Conductor was a nice Porter. It wasn't overly heavy and had decent flavor. I tried the egg roll special to start. The egg roll had a chicken cordon bleu filling and was served with a honey mustard sauce. The egg rolls were loaded with chicken, a slice of ham and cheese to make it stick together. It was a creative idea for a special but was not something I would order again. I ordered the Spicy Pork Tacos for my meal. These were really good. I liked that they didn't scrimp on the meat. Each taco was stuffed with shredded pork. The meat was juicy and mixed well with the salsa and cabbage. There was a bit of pineapple in each taco which was a nice surprise. Definitely something I would order again. I probably would have skipped dessert...but... there was this bread pudding on the dessert menu. How often to you find bread pudding on a bar menu? And the description indicated bacon was involved. Bacon on bread pudding? This required closer examination. You actually don't taste the bacon, but it gives the dish a nice salty, sweet element. Very yummy. I loved the atmosphere, very casual with a let's just hang out type of vibe. Service was good. I was never waiting long for the server or for my food to be delivered. Our waitress was awful. When she arrived at the table she took the adults drink orders and walked away. When she came back to see if we were ready to order, I had to ask her to take the kids drinks orders. She knew nothing about the menu when asked and never told us any of the specials (which we learned from the table next to us that had an awesome waitress). She rushed us to order food and drinks. There are so many breweries now that I was not expecting very much from troubles end. This place far exceeded all of my expectations and their light lager was the best light craft beer I have ever had! I only had a few food items but the Nashville hot egg rolls was the best egg roll I have ever had and one of the best things ever! The mozzarella sticks ( squares) were amazing as was the pretzel balls . I watched alot if you'd get served and I can't wait to go back and try sone item , the tacos, wings and burgers all looked great. This is not a typical review as it focuses the hostess. My wife and I parked in the parking lot by the brewery. 30 minutes into our bike ride I realized my cellphone was left on my car rear bumper. I called and explained, and the midday hostess did me a huge favor. She ran outside and grabbed my phone bringing it inside. She didn't want to provide her name, but I am very grateful. This space is very cool. The decor is fun and the often have live music. They do get busy for brunch so be prepared for a possible wait. The food is better than standard pub food, with some pretty creative options. I really enjoyed the Nashville egg rolls! I haven't found a beer I love yet. I am a fruit and sour fan, which is not really on their list. (Which I am not upset about. I don't expect every brewery to be aligned with my taste.) I've taken friends who are into IPAs and stouts and they have really enjoyed the options. They do have wine, seltzers, and cocktails on the menu for non-beer drinkers. I tried the grapefruit seltzer and was a little underwhelmed. But I'll keep trying. My favorite aspect of Troubles End is definitely their beer descriptions. Absolutely love this place !! Our waitress was the sweetest with helping us chose between different delicious sounding meals. The place itself is stunning. There is a wall of windows to the side, next to a stage for a band (which they have every week), a bar that spans the length of the place, and tons of sitting space. Along with the fairy lines and warm toned lightbulbs, this brewery felt almost magical. There was such a wide-range of meals to chose from that it made the decision difficult. I can't say enough good things about this place! We went here for dinner/drinks on a Saturday night. Service was very friendly! Warm and inviting ambience - almost as if you're seated in a decorated barn with both hightop tables and dinner tables. The atmosphere was very unique with an accent wall containing artificial backlit windows, providing extra light and the illusion of a brick building right next door. Additionally, they have a beautifully lit area for local bands to play (we were too early to see the band this night). Corrugated metal accents provided texture and a rustic feel throughout. On warmer nights, they have picnic tables outdoors with string lights. Drinks - AMAZING selection of unique cocktails made with house-made bitters, tinctures, and locally sourced spirits. I wanted to try each cocktail because they all looked so good and it was difficult to settle on just one! Beer selection was incredible with seasonal (Ex. Samhain) offerings! For an appetizer, we ordered the Nashville Hot Chicken Egg Rolls. Wouldn't change a thing - absolutely delicious and crispy with two different house-made dipping sauces. The French Onion Soup was good, however, I would prefer that it be served in a deeper bowl or crock and topped with a thick layer of traditional melted cheese rather than a cheese crisp. After all, spooning through a thick layer of cheese and crouton is one of the most satisfying things about eating French Onion Soup. Serving it in a shallow pasta bowl is not correct and only leads to the soup getting cold more quickly. For dinner, we ordered the General Tso's Chicken Sandwich, Smoked Brisket Reuben, and the Trouble Double Burger. All were incredibly delicious and completely devoured - nothing left to take home. Fries were hand cut and delicious. For dessert, we had the "A Lot of Bs Bread Pudding" with Bacon, Bananas, Bourbon, and Brioche. Exceptional flavor and texture - the only thing that would have improved upon this dessert would have been a small scoop of house made butter pecan ice cream or something similar. Trouble's End has been around for a lil' bit now, but in true beer-snobbery we wanted to wait until they offered their owns brews for tasting before visiting. Worth. The. Wait. We've been twice for brunch, because you really can't beat the plethora of delicious food offerings. There's both sweet and savory, simple and complex, traditional and unconventional. Want a bagel and lox? You're golden. Want Cinnamon Toast French Toast? You got it, babe. Eggs? Meats? Cheese? All three? Done. Done. Done. I've personally sampled the short rib Benny and the Philly Hash. The portions are perfect, and I'm usually satiated for the remainder of the day. The has was particularly beautiful with two-perfectly poached eggs a top a combination of potatoes, ribeye, longhots, and whiz. Like, honestly what more could you want from a dish? I also had a bite of my boyfriend's pork roll burger. (He hasn't stopped raving!) It was admittedly a stand-out dish. Don't worry! There's even options for our vegan and vegetarian friends. While the food is the star, their beer is solid, too. I'm a fan of their hoppy grissette - Wind Solo. It's refreshingly drinkable. Further, I LOVE that their beers are on the lower ABV end of things. When you're having a brew before noon, it's not the intention to get goofy. The beers are light in alcohol, but smooth and flavorful. I've tasted their Bitter, Oatmeal Stout, and Smoked Pale Lager - all very good beers. They also have a nice rotation of guest beers, fun cocktails, and wine. Just when you thought it couldn't get better - it does. Lots of parking! The great indoor ambiance with many TVs, optional heated outdoor seating for the sunny days, and spacious spaces make it an awesome spot for gatherings (when things are normal again!) I am also always impressed with their kind staff. After you stuff yourself silly, take a nice walk on the nearby trail or stroll into downtown Collegeville to burn the cals. It's thankful Thursday... the week before Thanksgiving and I am so very thankful to have such a lovely local brewery to help me soothe my troubles away. It's become tradition to have happy hour at Trouble's End while my son takes karate in the same building. Love grabbing a table while we wait. It's always exciting to see such a great menu especially in the heart of Collegeville. The service is alway kind! The beer selection is top notch here and they have even started brewing their own beers now! They have amazing beers like Pliny the Elder on tap and lawson's Sip of Sunshine in a can. I have enjoyed the creative brews they make here too. I enjoyed both the Sea Change PA Bitter and the Tullamore Dewd Dry Oat Stout. Food here is just as good. My son loves the Lil' Troublemakers chicken finger and hand cut fries kids meal for $7. It's a huge plate and the fries are amazing! I can't keep from stealing them. He also loves the hand crafted cola. I got the wasabi hummus tonight with pita chips and it is delicious. This was 100% fresh hummus with a wasabi kick. It's topped with cucumber, tomatoes and fried chickpeas on top. Buy far my favorite things on the menu are the pickle brined wings with gochjang sauce and wasabi blue cheese dressing. The fried chicken sandwich is really good too. The music is always good and they are usually pumping some jam bands like the Grateful Dead, but right now it's the Talking Heads!
