2/1/20 exterior

2/1/20. My son has been enjoying this restaurant but it's not right near me soo I don't think to go. Plus making a left out of this parking lot (towards where I live is almost impossible) anyway. . . I was visiting my son after I was working out with my future daughter in law at her gym super early and we were getting really hungry. We decided to go to go to Spring Ford Diner. Honestly if i hadn't heard it was good I wouldn't have bothered. It doesn't look very appealing from the exterior. It is in a very old, dumpy, run down looking scary shopping center. I wouldn't even consider walking around this strip mall alone at night- just sayin. I was pleasantly surprised. The smell of fresh cooking bacon and breakfast was wafting through the air when we arrived. The interior has beautiful flooring and spacious seating all in excellent condition. I was amazed and very taken with the clean simplicity of the restaurant.. The hostess promptly greeted and seated us. She asked if we wanted a table or booth and we opted for the booth. My behind had barely touched the booth seat and our waitress was offering drinks. THAT was AWESOME! She was an older lady and extremely attentIve. Friendly too. I ordered the Eggs Benedict with sauce on the side. It was only 6.99 and came with two eggs Benedict and breakfast potatoes and I added onions. Delicious!! Their kitchen knows how to execute! I noticed they have a table tent and have blueberry sugar free pie supplied by the one. The only. Shady Maple. Hubby is diabetic and we find sugar free apple pie but seldom blueberry so I ordered a piece to go for him and he loved it! I wouldn't hesitate to go back! Highly recommend! They take credit cards but not American Express.

Always a consistently good spot. Eggs were perfectly poached, hollandaise was very good, bacon crispy. Potatoes could use some seasoning, any seasoning. Very friendly staff, facility and people following COVID guidances.

Belgian waffle, bacon, eggs , pancakes, toast, diced potatoes and breakfast quesadillas!

Food was and service have gone downhill. Upon entry the hostess asked our preference of table. We asked for a booth and the hostess asked the cashier were any booths available to which she rudely replied "I DONT KNOW" So the hostess went and checked herself and quickly seated us. Our waitress's attitude was horrible. From asking her a question during ordering and being abruptly told no. To being brought the wrong items and then being rudely told we should have ordered differently. Not offering to fix the issue. Even after we pointed out it was pictured differently on the menu. To make matters worse another table sat down next to us and order the same thing as us and she specifically asked them their preference when the same curstosy wasn't extended to us. After asking for a second time for the items to be fixed she visibly irritated agreed to bring the items we wanted. While waiting for a the correct items to come out two other waitress come by and one expressed how "F'ing annoying" customers are that we're "not doing anything but just sitting there". Our waitress finally brought our food but by that time time I'd lost my appetite. She offered to box my food to which I said no thank you and asked for my check. Then she proceeded to ask me why I didn't eat. To which I kindly responded and asked for the check again. Her said attempt at making things right was way to late. We proceeded to the cash register to check out and the same cashier was there with her same attitude. The others in my group felt the food was not very good and didn't finish their meals. With horrible service and lack luster food there is no way I'd go back.

A dining area. So far a great place.

THE OFFICIAL Sid's Sunrise Breakfast Guys RATING for …read more. The Classic Diner ( Frazer, PA) 1. THE GOLDEN STANDARD (Taste & Execution) [Rating: 4.5/5] The lowdown: Solid breakfast with very good service on a gloomy damp Thursday morning. 2. THE SUNRISE VIBE (Atmosphere) [Rating: 4.3/5] The lowdown: A little dark in the front area and the middle area was bright. A bit tight walking when crowded in between tables. We noticed this for a lady with a baby stroller and for a special needs person. 3. THE MORNING FLOW (Service Speed) [Rating: 4.8/5] The lowdown: An extremely good happy waitress who visited often for coffee & water & recommendations. 4. THE SIGNATURE FACTOR (Uniqueness) [Rating: 4.4/5] The lowdown: Solid Eggs Benedict customized Philly style w scrapple. The apple sausage is also very tasty! 5. THE VALUE-TO-VIBE RATIO (Worth it?) [Rating: 4/5] The lowdown: Good value with portion sizes and atmosphere in the middle part of the restaurant! FINAL SCORE: 4.4/5 YOKES The Verdict: A very solid place for breakfast where food & service was spot on! There was a large crowd of diners when my wife and l along with my friend arrived. They are BYOB so we brought a bottle of wine with us. My wife ordered a California cheeseburger which was huge and came with French fries & pickles. I ordered their chicken croquettes with mashed potatoes and gravy. Everything was made in house and was delicious! My friend ordered their chicken croquettes same entree. The bread and rolls they brought to our table were also homemade and delicious. We also found out every dessert they serve is homemade as well. The entrees also came with a fresh salad and a vegetable of your choice. What a great meal! When the check came the total bill came to $43. Unbelievable. But it gets better. They offer a ten percent discount to veterans and police officers. We now have found a place that serves and prepares good food at an unbelievable price. The waitstaff served our food promptly and they were pleasant. We will be back. Folks, give this restaurant a try.

The omelette was pretty good, but service and potatoes not so much. Our server, Lily, did not…read moreinform us that hashbrowns were actually hash brown patties, and the home fries looked much better on my dining partner's plate. They brought me out some of those instead, as I am not a fan of patties that make me look like I'm eating at McDonald's, but the home fries were quite oily. We were there a very long time before our order was taken, and then to receive our meal. They seem to be understaffed, so our server seemed overwhelmed. It was hard to get coffee refills, which is one of my pet peeves when I go out to breakfast, as I like coffee very hot, so refilled frequently. I also requested my English muffin dry, but it came out loaded with butter. Be forewarned that they don't warn you about up charges when telling you what item choices come with the meal. Would I have minded paying extra for things like an English muffin or multigrain bread? No. But I do expect to be told ahead of time. (They charge extra for multigrain bread???) The owner removed it from the bill when questioned, but she was not pleasant about it. She tried to argue certain things and say she knows the server told us, despite her not being there when we ordered. This is not a good way to win over a new customer who had not been there before and doesn't know anything about your place. There are a lot of very good breakfast places in the area, and I go out to breakfast frequently (as you can tell from my many breakfast reviews). It's doubtful I will return again as I did not find the place friendly. The Collegeville Diner is much closer to me if I want a diner, and there are so many other places where the service is very friendly and quick. This is not one of them. The owner did make adjustments to the bill, but was not nice about it. (They seem to make a big deal about using Dave's Killer Multigrain bread, see owner's response to this review, which I've never had and don't care about. Who tells you that multigrain is one of the choices and then charges you more after the fact because you chose it?) You can go to Nook & Kranny and get fresh baked bread from local LeBus bakery without any extra charge. For my dining partner, it was her second time here and she had a negative experience the first time, where service was also slow and her food arrived cold. The only reason we gave it a try was that she said it was very busy at the time, so our logic was that it must be pretty good if it was that packed. It was not packed this time and service was still not great and the food was not good enough to offset the service. We have no desire to give it a third chance.

When my friend said they filmed the Blob there, say no more! I love things like that. They did have "Blob" menu items but I needed some good old comfort food. I asked the super hustling single worker in the diner between meatloaf or chicken croquette. She said the chicken croquette. Unfortunately they were out. I changed to fried chicken. OMG! The crunch could be heard outside. It was seriously crunchy without being over fried. The mashed potatoes were fresh and lumpy. I asked for extra gravy. Very peppery and flavorful. The salad seemed freshly made. I like the salad dressing is individually packaged. Seems fresher that way. Colleen was super attentive for being the only wait staff there. Very sweet and comforting after all the rude airline employees I encountered. The restaurant is a converted train car. Very retro. I love the look of it. It felt right to sit at the counter.
