Great, old-school "diner" that serves a tasty and affordable breakfast, or traditional lunch options such as sandwiches and burgers. No amazing frills, no overly-ambitious menu. Just some good, down-home options that leave the belly full (and the wallet intact). While the decor is definitely well-worn, it never feels worn-out. Clearly they're focused on keeping things affordable for guests, rather than wowing them furniture. And frankly, that's just fine by me. This restaurant was recommended by a few of our friends and we had to try it out. The restaurant is located right on Rt 23, which makes it easy to find. It's a bit dated, but they make it up with service and delicious food. Food: really solid breakfast food! Not a ton of options, but just enough to make sure everyone will be covered. I had the omelette, which was cooked perfectly and was absolutely delicious. Parking: ample parking Service: staff seemed a bit short handed, but they were nice and efficient. A long standing breakfast and lunch restaurant across the street from Owen J Roberts High school. We stopped in with our family and we're seated immediately. The place is small, but they have a breakfast bar for smaller groups to get seated more quickly. It has tons of big backs for sale through the restaurant and it was fun to look around. We ordered pancakes, French toast, bacon, scrapple, home fries, and eggs. Everything was very good. Served quickly and hot. The kids enjoyed it all and we had plenty of leftovers to bring home. I love this place for breakfast. Fast service, good food. My over easy eggs were perfect! It really has a diner feel to it, more than a restaurant. I'd treat the food like I would at a diner. Breakfast, YUM! Lunch, OK! Dinner, No! But I have only been once and they are only open for dinner on the weekends, but this is my rule of thumbs for diner type places... Our server, Leo, was prompt and efficient, if not overly friendly. Really perfect IMO. Food came out hot and fast. My bacon was crisp, my toast dark. Breakfast potatoes seemed very buttery, but they were also good! I got the Big Breakfast for 9.99. 2 pancakes, 2 eggs, 2 bacon and potatoes. Side of toast for a buck. 2 tea bags with my order of tea. I'd eat here again in a heartbeat. Place needs updating, but it has a bit of a cracker barrel feel to it. Check it out if you are in town and see if you can finish the Big Breakfast. It was 4th of July and very busy. Which was fine we weren't in a hurry. However we sat down and were told by the waitress she would be right back to clean the table and get us menus. After 20 mins still sitting at a sticky table with no menus the waitress rushed by again saying I'll be with you in a minute. Ok no problem. She was happily chatting with two men that were either family or friends. After another 10 mins of her waiting on every table but ours we stopped and her asked if we could at least get menus. She ran by saying I said I would be with you in a minute. I replied that she had said that 30 mins ago and that we would just like menus and a clean table. She rolled her eyes and went over to another waitress and loudly exclaimed "you have to take that table they want to order and I don't have time to help miss busy over there". We had been sitting at a dirty table with no menus and not even a cup of coffee for over 30 mins. I wasn't rude just stated she kept saying she would be right there but never came back. At this point this nicest waitress Miss June came right over. Wiped the table, got us menus and apologized for the wait! Our orders were taken and we had a delicious meal with 20 minutes from the start of June taking over. Everyone gets busy and holidays are crazy, but being rude and concentrating more on your family customers instead of just being nice and getting other customers taken care of was not the first waitress's priority here. We've been here several times and love the food and June! However, if I walked in and she was the waitress I would leave immediately. 30 mins without a hi, clean table, or even a menu is not acceptable and having an attitude with customers because your busy and short staffed is completely unacceptable. The breakfast was good, there are many omelets to choose from. I got tomato slices instead of home fries and the scrapple was delicious.

food is very good and service is quite fast, but workers aren't very friendly. specifically the server Mary, as she has been rude to my friends and I several times. Recently she gave us the biggest eye roll because we needed two checks instead of one. Last week she yelled at us for not having our money ready. We have been overcharged twice because they don't trust us to pay tip, although we have tipped well every time. The quintessential Pennsylvania mom and pop diner. Great breakfast! My husband loved the style of the hash browns, though they weren't the best I've had. They were slice style. The pork roll was good, and the scrapple bangin'. It was very affordable. All of the waitresses were older women, which is cute and adds to that mom and pop feel. The Ridge has been operating since before I was born and I'm fairly certain the joint hasn't been updated since. The entire place is filthy which makes it less than desirable to eat a meal there. The staff are not friendly and the food is not made to order. Cash only. They need a complete overhaul. It's located in a killer area and could be making major cash. read more

I was really pleased with the quick service here. It seems to be more of a local place with repeat customers, so my husband and I felt a little out of place with it being our first time. When you walk in you can just sit anywhere you want, and be aware you'll need cash to tip when you leave! They don't allow you to tip on your card.
