We came here for a quick lunch before continuing on with our day. We were seated immediately. They had homemade vegetable soup. It was a tomato base and it was delicious and piping hot. The pancake was good. Not the best, but it was good. I also had the grilled cheese with fries. The bread was crunchy and soft, and perfectly toasted. My sister and mom enjoyed their meals as well. There were no complaints. Pricing was fair and honest. The staff was so kind and they were working hard. It was a little loud as it is wide open for the most part. The pancakes were delicious! Soooo good! The perfect amount of sweetness & the portion sizes were huge. I'm giving it a 4 rather than a 5, as I found their french toast to be underwhelming. The bread was not the best quality, but maybe it had just been a bad batch. I got the french toast to go, but next time I would opt for the pancakes instead. This is a hidden gem not far from Ursinus. My husband and I came here for my birthday because I adore omelettes and saw they had them on the menu when we were around the Collegeville area. It was definitely a good choice, and we'll be back soon! I ordered the red pepper omelette with goat cheese. It was perfectly cooked with a generous amount of peppers and cheese! The home fries were made perfectly crispy. Though it was a Saturday morning with a good crowd, the staff were attentive and friendly. My coffee was consistently topped off. We were asked if we'd ever been there as if they noticed we weren't regulars! And we were kindly welcomed back. It was a great experience all around with a true atmosphere of a neighborhood cafe. The food was very good . Our service had a lot to be desired. I'm hoping it was just the server we had. We were seated right away , but then it took like over 10 minutes to take our drink order . Then another 15 minutes to take the food order. The place wasn't busy so I don't know what the actual hold up was . Once we got the food we didn't see our server again. A different server from the next table actually got us to go containers and our check or we maybe still sitting there. The inside was very nice after the reno from being O Gradys . We had a very good dining experience here. "Breakfast & Lunch all day" (photo) is their motto. The waitstaff are very attentive and very friendly, and it provided a very positive and pleasant atmosphere as we were seated. That's the first thing I noticed. The food looked (photos) and tasted very good. I think they give you a generous serving so that you don't go away hungry. We didn't try any breakfast food on this visit, but judging from what others were eating, they also looked very good. Perhaps next time, I'll try some from the breakfast menu. I thought it was unusual to hear some Christian BGM played here. I was pleasantly surprised about that in this neck of the woods. It was an altogether very pleasant dining experience here. I hate to leave a bad review on a family run business but I've never gotten sick after eating out and after eating breakfast here I got food poisoning. We had the short stack with blueberries and bananas, crab Benedict, side of bacon, small grapefruit juice, and a large orange juice. Bill was $38 so not expensive at all. Buuuut, the menu stated it was lump crab, was definitely not lump...unless the chopped it, but why would they? Was good none the less. To summarize, because that's what we all want from a yelp review: The service was fast and friendly. This place IS GOOD for pancakes, crepes, waffles etc... BUT our hashbrowns were SO bland and their gravy was basically oily flour, like they couldn't get the consistency right and kept trying to fix it. A small detail, but the salt shaker on the table? The holes were really big, so we accidentally dumped salt all over our food (which it did need either way) To be completely transparent, my party and I are from the south, so it's possible that there are some culinary regional differences that I am unaware of. The crab Benedict was wafting with ammonia. I folded back the egg and smelled the crab and was hit with an overpowering ammonia smell. I assume it was canned crab (which is fine), but how can they not QA serving canned crab? And the asparagus advertised as the side was exactly two spears of asparagus. Friendly enough people, but underwhelming food. Wife and I stopped for brunch, ordering both breakfast and lunch. Simply put, place is eh. Breakfast was ok: standard eggs, pancakes, and crispy [shredded] hash browns (probably the highlight of the meal). Lunch: buffalo chicken cheesesteak (pictured) left much to be desired. The chicken was actually just right, not super ground up like other places, but the flavor was just... off. There was a pink-ish sauce, which I'm assuming (hoping) was their house buffalo-blue cheese blend, but it didn't quite hit for us. Light on the fry portion compared to most places, but I actually feel that it was just right and other places are overly generous in this arena. Not affecting this rating - we actually ordered onion rings instead of fries (oh well, easy enough oversight and no up-charge either way), and staff never delivered on the hot sauce we requested [to add on breakfast as well as the pink buffalo sauce] - womp womp. read more

We have been coming to Grace's for years, but today the female owner was not present. She's always very pleasant, and accommodating. Today, I ordered a combination breakfast which I've ordered many times; it comes with home-fries. The online ordering option makes you choose **how you want home fries done which I did**. EMAIL CONFIRMATION ALSO SHOWED HOME-FRIES. (Screenshot attached) My husband texted me that the home fries were missing from the order so I called the restaurant. A man answered & put the phone down, I could hear him speaking in Spanish to another employee, presumably so I wouldn't understand him. He also talked to customers LAUGHED. I got disgusted, still kept me waiting so I hung up, I called back again; he did the same thing again; talked to customers & made me wait. He told me "It is an on line system error" but I replied,"That's not my fault as the customer". In the meantime the breakfast was cold. I told my husband to just to get a refund because he was being rude; he would not answer me five times when I asked him if he was the owner (I thought he was the owner's husband). He rudely refused to add home fries to the order without charging me, I have ordered this combination several times, so I told my husband just get a refund we will never be back. It's unfortunate that without the owner present, the operation was not run with ethics. So, they just lost a customer. They need to correct their online ordering system. In the meantime, having a bad reputation with a customer is not worth $1.00-$2.00 it would cost for them to add side item which clearly shows it's included!!! By the way HE REFUSED TO GIVE US A REFUND!! And HE KEPT THE TIP AND THE $1.50 "CONVENIENCE FEE" for on line ordering TOO. read more

Been here a few times since they've opened, both for lunch on one occasion and several times for breakfast. Lunch was OK but I prefer to come here for their large, delicious breakfasts! Every thing tastes fresh and service is always excellent. From the waffles, omelettes, bacon, fruit, and specialty pancakes, everything has been delicious. My wife likes that they have several gluten-free options and most recently had their cinnamon apple gluten free pancakes, which she said was very good. Was craving their breakfast the other week, and with everything closed due to COVID-19, we opted for take-out. I'm usually not a huge fan of take-out but we still enjoyed our breakfasts. Looking forward to when restaurants will re-open so that we can come back for a dine-in experience again! read more

This was our first time at Gracie's Cafe. The reviews look great so we decided to give it a try. We ordered eggs, bacon and sausage for the kiddos. My husband I decided to get the breakfast burrito. Our food arrives, the kids food came out fine. However, we took a bite of the burrito and tasted really bad like maybe someone accidentally sprayed cleaning products by it. We told our waiter hey the burrito doesn't taste right, we don't want to eat It. Could we please get something else? We ordered some breakfast meat. We get the check and they wouldn't even take the burritos off the bill, my husband explained hey we didn't want to get sick (possibly food poisoning from possible food contamination). They still made us pay even though we didn't eat the food and explained. I've never experienced this kind of service, normally good spots are usually accommodating to something like this. We won't be back. The people seem really kind it's just unfortunate that they wouldn't be accommodating to something like this especially if a customer is concern about possible food poisoning. Below is a picture of the burrito I didn't eat. I cut the burrito open to see if there was something bad in it. This is why it's cut open but clearly I only took a bite and was done. If you decide to go maybe order something else and that might be better. I really wanted to enjoy my experience here, kind of disappointed. I really hope they do better in the future. read more

SERVICE Accommodating - 4 I was able to do any changes I wanted to my food. I asked to move to another table after I had been served without an issue. The server was always checking on the patrons to see if they needed anything. If I would keep on asking, I would have gotten anything else I wanted. ;) Friendly - 5 The score here is connected to being accommodating. Everything they did and say came with a smile. I felt very comfortable. Speed - 5 When I say fast, I was served VERY fast. my food was out in about 3 minutes. I was confused at first. I was expecting that she was going to ask me something. Tech - 4 I did not realize until I went to the bathroom that the server has the tablet system on the wall where she plugs in the order. I believe this made things go fast. Price - 4 The prices seem normal to inexpensive for the service they provide. Internet - WIFI - 5 I was happy to find wifi here since yelp did not show it. To my surprise I also found that they have a pretty fast connection. 27.3 Mbps download and 15.1 Mbps upload Space - 4 the place is very spacious. I counted 88 chairs with tables that can be rearranged. Clean - 4 I walked around, and all looked good. Shiny floors, clean tables, clean bathroom... all looks clean. Music - 3 All they had was Christian music. I score it this way not because I am Christian or not; I do because I like variety. CONCLUSION I will be back for sure to keep trying the different dishes and even without the excuse of having to work on my car to bring my family. Hope you get to like this place too. Visited Grace's just after they opened, which is in the Trappe shopping center. The outside isn't much to look at since it's in a strip mall, but the interior is very nice. There were a few of us, plus an infant. Plenty of high chairs, so no worries there. Wooden and plastic, I believe, the former being great for car seats, if your kiddo still happens to be in one (turn the high chair upside down). Plenty of space, too; it's not crammed with tables. Food choices included juevos rancheros, eggs Benedict, and an egg sandwich? I use a question mark because an egg sandwich was ordered but it came out as toast and scrambled eggs. That particular person had a dairy problem, tho, so it's possible her description of how she wanted it was confusing, so that's on us. FYI: they were very accommodating to the dairy issue, so that's great. Service was very attentive, though. Food was decent. Not amazing, not bad. I don't mean that in a bad way, and they did just open, so it always takes some time to hit a stride. We only had savory options tho, not sweet ones, so perhaps the French toast is better. Lots of choices for eggs, omelets, French toast, and eggs Benedict though, so plenty of choice. The eggs Benedict was very creamy and pretty decent, but needs a little something... Salt or pepper maybe. The rancheros was pretty good, with a delicious sauce. And the other dish was pretty standard, not much to say there. A few suggestions: food could use a little more salt or pepper; Sriracha eggs Benedict should be on the menu, and I don't mean that for hipster reasons, the sauce just goes well with hollandaise; the menu says home fries, but you get hash browns,so actual home fries would be nice. I'll be going back, so I'll update this post after I do. I really hope this place takes off because the area really needs it.
