Stopped here on Wednesday morning with a friend and was immediately welcomed as I walked thru the door. A very pleasant waitress and an ample mug of fresh coffee soon followed. I chose one of my all time favorites, cream chipped beef which was served over tender biscuits and it was delicious. Served with a generous side of home fries. (My request to add sautéed onions to the potatoes was no problem at all.) Waitress continued to be attentive and offered a smile with each visit to our table. Atmosphere has a cool vibe with ample seating and it was clear from the chatter around me that many other patrons had fast become "regulars" here. I look forward to returning to sample the lunch menu. Give Lakeview a try. You will love it! I believe they have take-out and do catering as well! read more

Honestly this place is one of the best, most underrated spots in town. I come here regularly and have not had a single bad experience. The menu is large, but well executed. The servers are always so personable and quick with service. It's a cozy little spot with old school diner vibes. Highly recommend the potato cakes. Also all the sandwiches are great. So happy to find this eatery. Felt like being at my favorite diner back home. Ashlee gave me great service. She made me feel like I belonged. Very clean. They are taking all cleaning and safety precautions. All staff was very nice and attentive, nice to see them supporting their local community. They have a large menu. Located in a strip mall, nice pavers for outdoor seating and the inside is cozy. Food took a little bit of time but the place was very busy at the time so that's understandable. Got the peach pancakes which was definitely better than some of the surrounding breakfast establishments (Annamarie's and Sunshine Cafe). Pork sausage links were pretty good. Wait staff was very kind, they were definitely hustling and working hard. Kids got crayons and something to color which is nice. Food won't blow you away but it's well seasoned and worth it, we had no complaints and it's a big plus to have friendly staff. Will be back for sure. read more

Got the omelette plus onions and green peppers. That was not on the breakfast menu, just the list of meats and cheese. I hate onions and green peppers. Should have sent it back. That was on me. Food is good but service seems to be a problem. I think it's a matter of timing when they get busy. Have only done breakfast and one lunch. Was very good. I had the spinach with chicken salad and was excellent. I would however recommend when a table is seated that they are given menus. Seems the waitstaff has to deliver the menu and utensils and napkin. Why not have the host (owner?) give the menus when seating the table. Then if the waitress is delayed at least the guests are reviewing the menu. If the person cleaning the table sets it up with utensils and napkin then it's ready. Just seems odd the way it's handled now. Hope it helps. read more

This place is tucked into a little strip mall behind the Giant in Royersford. On a Sunday morning, there was no wait which was nice! I had the eggs benedict with the potato cakes. The eggs benedict were better than some of the other breakfast places in the area with perfectly runny eggs and made from scratch hollandaise. The potato cakes were crispy and delicious! The potato cakes had some sort of ranch like seasoning in them which I enjoyed, but my husband didn't. My husband had a combo with eggs, pancakes, sausage and bacon, and potato cakes. He liked them all minus the potato cakes. This place was less expensive than some of the other breakfast spots in the area, which was another plus. We plan to return, especially if the lines are too long on Main St! read more

I have been coming here for months now and never have a bad experience. My favorites are their Crab Benedict or a scrapple and cheese omelet. Always a wonderful experience making sure our coffee or waters are full. The waitstaff is such an improvement from prior restaurants in this location. There is no bickering, plenty of attention to details and they care about what they do. Another improvement is the cleanliness. The staff and owner do care about their reputation and are always friendly. They make me feel like I'm coming to their home for a visit and not just a number. read more

We love the new Lakeview Cafe! We had breakfast there once with the whole family and the service and food were both very good. The kids loved the pancakes! We've ordered takeout from there a few times now. Both the cheesesteaks and chicken cheesesteaks are excellent. I was excited to see this establishment re-open so quickly after it closed under a different business name. The long and short is that I was served the worst breakfast I had ever gotten in my entire life. Parts of the signature dish "farmers breakfast" were missing completely. ( the potato cakes specifically ) on top of the fact that biscuits and gravy generally come with 2 standard 3"-3.5" round biscuits split equaling 4 pieces.. this plate served 1 dried out husk the size of a half dollar.. The gravy tasted like they had poured a few cups of flour and water in it to stretch the volume.. the mixture tasted like starch and nothing else, they also forgot the side I ordered, which I had to request. The scrambled eggs were standard but entirely forgettable, and presented in a very sloppy manner. Extremely disappointing and sad, I left hungry and confused because i literally was not served the full meal i had ordered. My date was happy with her waffle - the coffee was decent. Likely will not return, but I do wish them good luck. read more

This was my first time going to this place since it re-opened. It was setup similar to the Corner Cafe and the food was pretty much the same as well. First thing I noticed was when our server (Maria?) came over and asked What do you want to drink? There was no introduction or anything, but I figured maybe she's just busy. The whole service from her just gave me a weird vibe as if she didn't feel like working there or didn't like our table. She wasn't rude, but rather disinterested and disengaged. There were three of us and only two menus and silverware so I ended up grabbing a menu from the table next to us and had to ask for silverware after the food arrived. Food was okay, nothing that was worth mentioning. I will say the toast came out cold and covered in butter that was half melted. The bill was $35.00 dollars which I thought was pretty high for breakfast until I realized they had tried to charge me $4.00 for our waters. They were submitted as "Coke products". I brought it up upon payment and the owner quickly removed it and apologized. Overall, it just wasnt a great experience between the food and service. JCs 3 Square Meals is usually the go to spot, and I think after this expericence, I will stick with them. read more

I have eaten here several times and always enjoy the food. The service is good and they do their best to accommodate during busy hours. My favorites are the breakfast skillets and the cheese steaks. The owner looks a little like the sergeant on Gomer Pyle, but he is actually very nice and always asks us how we enjoyed our meal. I will certainly be coming back. read more

Always super clean - even the high chairs!!! It was so refreshing to know that the same care in cleanliness extends to all parts of the restarting. The food is amazing! I did have one egg Benedict that the egg wasn't poached completely but everyone has an off day - the other egg and sauce was amazing!! Been here a couple of times and each time we find something that that makes us not want to return. First time one of our orders was shorted the sausage. When my husband said something to the owner, he seemed to have an "attitude " about it. The second time the waitress kept asking if we wanted our coffee refilled and we did and she never refilled. Today was the day that sealed the date in this spot for us. An hour wait for breakfast when the place was not crowded. We were a party of 2 and it took an hour to get breakfast. Not one apology from the waitress,or from the owner who was walking around. He should have went to the waiting tables and apologized for the wait. To make matters worse I ordered the veggie skillet, and the description on the menu says scrambled eggs, green peppers, onions, tomatoes, mushrooms and spinach and cheese. My plate comes and there is no spinach but broccoli. Did I mention I don't like broccoli? I was really annoyed. Not only did we wait an hour but I could not even eat the breakfast I ordered. The Sunshine Cafe on Ridge Pike is much better and the prices are better. A new diner will be opening up on Lewis Road hopefully they will be much better than The Lakeview. read more
