11/8/24 first time here! My friend and I were meeting up for lunch and since my last pick was a disaster- Via Roma-I asked her to choose. Welp Tracy did a great job!! Chows Corner Cafe is NOT Chow on Main Street in Collegeville. I'm unsure if they are related. Chow Corner Cafe serves breakfast all day AND lunch! Their menu is extensive but NOT expensive. I had the California burger and it was so delicious! It had bacon, avacado, cheese, tomato and onion. I thoroughly enjoyed it. I opted for the side salad instead of fries- it was generous! No upcharge either. My friend ordered the vegetable quesadilla and commented on how delicious it was. There were abundant ingredients in there. The interior of the restaurant reminds me of a restaurant Larry David would go to in California. Pretty colorful walls and hip designs of food- the fried eggs were cute as can be! The only thing that may have been better would be a friendlier server. He was efficient though and we got everything we needed. Yohan (I think that was his name?) at the register was pleasant. I would not hesitate to go back. I don't live close to Chows so I'm not sure when I would go back but when I'm here again I'll go again. I recommend you try it!! I left with a full tummy and I can appreciate the high quality of the food at the not staggering prices. Not easy to pull off with the astronomical inflation. read more

Chow's Corner is a very pleasant local spot. It's a great place for a leisurely home style breakfast. We sat outside and enjoyed the gorgeous summer morning along with our coffee. Our server was attentive, though not over the top cheery. The food was all good! I had an omelette that was made exactly as I ordered. The hash browns were a bit overdone I thought, but otherwise fine. The other offerings, including a yogurt parfait, French toast, and barnyard hash were also quite good. Such a great local spot! For breakfast, you can't go wrong with one of their delicious omelets, and at lunch the turkey club is a must-try -- fresh, flavorful, and perfectly made. 4.5 stars but rounded up for the value and food quality. I wouldn't go out of my way to come here, but if I lived in this neighborhood I'd likely visit often. We had breakfast at Chows and it exceeded my expectations. I had the biscuits and sausage gravy and it was just like you get in the south. Their hot chocolate was also top notch! All the food we saw coming out looked delicious and I can't wait to go back and try some French toast. My friend had lox eggs Benedict and that way a perfect mash up of breakfast favorites The space is small and cozy without feeling crowded. And the service was good. I like Chow's bistro, also in Collegeville, and glad that they opened a breakfast/lunch place here as well. It is right beside Fedex store and Wawa, so plenty of parking. We went for lunch on Saturday and it was not very crowded. The servers are friendly, take a little longer than expected for the food to get ready, but not too bad. We ordered Teriyaki Chicken bowl, Chunky Monkey Burger and Shrimp Quesadilla. Each one of them very delicious and with big portions. Nice place for causal breakfast and lunches. read more

Went there today for breakfast and it was excellent! My husband got a patty melt, daughter got a breakfast burrito and I got the summer Benedict and it was bacon, grilled tomato, and poached egg on muffin with hollandaise and was fantastic!!! Our server was wonderful it's a great place. read more

I've been here 3 or 4 times now since they opened, trying different things. The word got out fast, as it's always packed. No shortage of staff here. Tried the gingerbread pancakes today. Pretty good, though I'm not a big pancake fan. Asked for several things to be adjusted, and everything came out just as I ordered it. Used to come here every week when the place was Corner Cafe 29, so when it re-opened as Chows Corner Cafe, stopped back in for my weekly breakfast. The decor is a little nicer than its predecessor but has the same general layout. They now have a hostess stand at the front and will seat you vs. just walking in and seating yourself. Nice menu selection and the couple of meals I've had here have been good along with service. The first time I was there, it was very cold inside, but seems like they fixed that as I didn't notice it the second time. My main complaint is that they don't take Apple Pay (they did the first week and then decided to switch out their CC terminals and now don't), and it's a $15 min for credit card charges. Sometime, I just want a light breakfast and wouldn't be able to get to $15. For these two reasons, I won't be coming here every week like I used to. read more

My friend and family and I frequented this restaurant frequently unfortunately we will no longer be going due to the rudeness of the host! Not only has he been rude to us multiple times we have heard the way he speaks to other patrons! It's too bad because everyone else is very friendly and pleasant but he is the place of the restaurant and not a good face! read more

Chow's has always been such a wonderful place to have breakfast with friends. The eggs benedict and pancakes from here are so good, and they always have nice seasonal, rotating specials. The staff are incredibly friendly and accommodating, too. My little sister ordered a hot chocolate and was both surprised and delighted at the rainbow sprinkles our waiter put on top! It is a smaller place, so make sure you go to their website and book a table if you're planning on heading there over the weekend, it's normally packed full. They do also have some quaint outdoor seating and it isn't far from the Perkiomen Trail, I've biked there on nice summer, fall, and spring days. Honestly, I was appalled at the audacity of some of the bad reviews under this place, so I felt I had to say my own experiences. Never had a bad time at Chow's, and I've never heard of anyone personally who has, either. read more

I've had good and bad food here. $11 for an omelet with home fry's and two pieces of toast. Certain items are frozen first and it shows in the quality. Worth a shot to try and see if what you like is good there. Service is okay and ambiance is what you'd except for a small breakfast joint. read more

Have been going here almost every weekend since it opened. The waiters and waitresses have been excellent. But over the last couple of months the host has been dismissive, rude, and shows no appreciation for people who are long term customers. He has not always been this way. Was not at all impressed with this new restaurant. The food was average and nothing special. My hash browns were a little in the underdone side. My mushroom omelet was OK. The true disappointment was the wait staff. We had to flag someone down to get drinks- no one had stopped by our table yet. Had to flad our waiter down again to get a refill. Against my better judgement, I went here the first weekend it opened. There are always growing pains and it often colors my view of a place. We love their first restaurant and how community minded the owner is, so we went for it. I should NOT have been so concerned. We were greeted warmly and were told a 15 minute wait, but a table cleared quickly and was available in 5 minutes. My party ordered two different eggs Benedict meals, French toast, and eggs with corned beef hash. Plus, we ordered an omelet and a stack of pancakes to go. The egg dish was good - the rye toast with it was great. There was nothing left of the eggs Benedict meals, and the French Toast was declared AMAZING. The serving staff remained attentive the whole time, refilling glasses and coffee and checking on tables. Very, very few negatives...all of which will go away as they get in their stride. The kitchen was a bit slow, as to be expected as everyone is getting their footing. It was more "busy Saturday" slow and not "brand new opening" slow. BUT, and this is important, really only 5-10 minutes slow. Not bad at all for a new place, and they did warn us...and kept our coffee full. They forgot my toast, but a simple ask and it was out lickety split with an "I'm so sorry!" and well worth the wait. They did NOT go cheap on the rye bread. YUM!! Here's how you know it will just get better. There were a lot of young wait staff and greeters, and you could tell this was a little new to them. They didn't have the confidence of those diner waitresses who have been doing it for years. But the ownership and floor managers were all over helping their tables and teaching them so that confidence will grow. Also, there were tons of smiles, warm greetings, and the work atmosphere was friendly. And frankly, I like a place that hires community kids for these jobs. And we owe them patience if they are going to teach/learn!! Kudos! I'm looking forward to many more breakfasts and to order that Grilled Reuben! It looked delish on the menu! read more

Food is always good and the staff friendly. I like the updating that they did inside and the cute plates and cups especially like their eggs Benedict. Generally might go to choice. Just one word of caution, plan on paying with cash as they charge 3% if you use a credit card. read more

Went there this morning for breakfast. Not very big inside and filled up quickly. We ordered meat lovers omelette and avocado toast with poached eggs. Both are very good, especially the poached eggs on top of the toast. Portion is also decent. We will come back for sure. read more

The server was fine. Not much personality but offered a coffee refill and brought napkins. The host who sat us ended up being quite rude. I asked if they had a kids menu (something expected at most diner-style restaurants.) From 8+ feet away he dismissively said no, as though it was the dumbest question he'd ever heard. The food was fine. The pancakes tasted like boxed Bisquick. My husband asked for American cheese instead of cheddar in his omelet and still got cheddar. The hash brown potatoes were basically raw. After dining there I am unsurprised that they were mostly empty at 9:30 on a Saturday when most restaurants are on a wait. read more

I've always been a fan of the Chow Bistro on Main Street, so my expectations were high coming in on the second day of business. Mai Tai and her crew exceeded my expectations. The staff was well trained and it seemed like the spot had been open for months. I sat at the counter and felt a fresh and friendly vibe. The variety on the menu was incredible. It will take me a while to try everything I found interesting. I was able to observe the kitchen from my seat and they were well coordinated and efficient. I did not detect a bit of confusion or uncertainty on their part. I ordered the short rib and cheese on grilled sourdough subbed fries for the chips. It was served in 12 minutes. The person next to me ordered an omelet and he waited 7 minutes. My sandwich was delicious. It ate like a grilled cheese as there was a lot more cheese than I expected, which I enjoyed. The short rib amount was light but sufficient to give that wonderful beef flavor. The fries were hot and crispy. Shout out to Sarah, you were a great server. Nice to see Jay working there too. My experience started with the host who was annoyed that we asked for a booth away from the door. Plenty of booths were open. Ordered Avocado Toast. As described on the menu: Oven toasted multigrain toast, 2 poached eggs, arugula, tomatoes, red onions, pepitas and a side salad. What was served: A piece of burnt cold toast, avocado mash, ONE egg, no arugula, no tomato, no red onion. Wilted side salad. Brought it to the servers attention. Asked him to look at the description on the menu, then look at what I was served. He said they need to change/update some items on the menu. Went to talk with the cook. Returned to say they're out of arugula but could substitute spinach. Disappointed with the meal. read more

Stopped by with a friend on a weekday. We only had 45 minutes so we just ordered coffee so we could sit and catch up. The waiter was obviously annoyed because we didn't order breakfast. I went to the register to pay the bill and the manager told me we can't do that again. I asked him what he meant and he said we have to order full breakfast, not just coffee. I was shocked. It was mid-morning and no one was waiting for a table! There are so many other options in the area, so needless to say we will never be back. read more

Breakfast get together with friends earlier today. First time at Chow's Corner Cafe. Have been to their other restaurant Chow Bistro- which is fantastic. Wanted to give their new breakfast/ lunch place a try. It did not disappoint! I had smoked salmon Eggs Benedict. Delicious! Other meals included two more versions of Eggs Benedict as well a custom omelet and a stuffed French Toast that looked heavenly! Great food, great service, relaxing casual atmosphere. stopped in for coffee with a friend. was told by the owner on the way out that we could not come in for just coffee and had to order food next time. we were only there 40 minutes and would have left sooner if waiter didn't have to be flagged down to pay. will not be going back. it's not a good business practice to scare patrons off. read more
