Egg Platter w/ Apple sausage and bagel
Mark D.

On advice of our Airbnb host we went to Classic Diner to start our Thanksgiving week vacation. It was a great suggestion! We were quickly seated in the charming country home decor. Team servers were all friendly and attentive. Food came out very quickly. I had scrambled eggs with apple sausage. The hint of apple in the sausage was uniquely delicious. The everything bagel sub for toast was...everything. Plenty of food and great service at a reasonable cost gives Classic Diner 5 stars!

Classic Eggs Benedict!

My first time here was not a disappointment. Wait staff was courteous and polite, no rush at all in ordering. I often try dishes I enjoy at other diners, this time was the classic Eggs Benedict. Told them I might be here a bit (my wife had a doctor appointment locally) and they said no problem at all. Ambiance is not what you expect from a diner, rather, it felt like a welcoming Bistro environment. Would definitely recommend whenever you're in Malvern!

I have had breakfast here twice in June. My dog is being treated for sarcoma at nearby Blue Pearl Malvern PA. Atmosphere is cozy. Servers are always friendly and super efficient. My dining partner said her breakfast was the best she has ever had. The coffee is good. I ordered both times an omelette with spinach, white cheddar, herbs, and portobellos and homefries no toast. My dining partner ordered lump crab eggs benedict. We shared one slice of french toast on the side. It was very good.

All the food was delicious at very reasonable prices! In the portobello sandwich the roasted peppers were amazing but the mushroom was too thick. The french toast was fantastic however there were a lot of bananas. The prosciutto sandwich was delicious, the bread was crunchy, the pesto was great, and the mozzarella was super moist but there was too much prosciutto I couldn't eat it all. The corned beef and pulled pork sandwiches were good, no complaints but nothing spectacular either. The service was a little bit slow but it was very busy during lunch time which speaks to the quality of the restaurant. Overall the word is abundance, but I will say that's better than not enough!

Food was WONDERFUL! The portion was huge and everything was FRESH! The service was great and the ambiance was cozy. I will definitely return for brunch... all the plates on everyone's tables looked amazing.

*Indoor dining review* I've heard about "The Classic Diner" for quite awhile now, finally got a chance to try it. For the most part, everything's really good apart from couple minor issues. Restaurant: 4/5 Service: 3/5 Food: 4/5 Parking: Free parking lot (Limited Parking) ~Restaurant~ Restaurant itself looked small from the outside, but they have good seating arrangement, you don't feel cramped once you're sitting down inside. Alternatively they have couple tables outdoor (covered) for anyone that wants to nice weather outside. I would also suggest going early, so the wait isn't too long. We went around 9:30AM and were seated right away. ~Service~ Staff are friendly and somewhat attentive. ~Food~ All the food we ordered are pretty good. What we ordered: -Omelette with avocado, salsa, sun dried tomatoes and pepper jack cheese. (Eggs and most of the fillings are cooked nicely and very flavorful, bread is nicely toasted and buttered. But the cheese was not melted properly, so it turns into just a glob of cheese, I would most likely skip on the cheese next time. The potatoes are slightly overcooked, a bit tough. -Bacon (Can't go wrong with bacon, cooked nicely) -Belgian waffle with Berries. (It is good, apart from Waffle is a little dense) -Belgian waffle with Banana and Walnut. (Same story. After having some delicious light and fluffy Belgian waffles from another breakfast/brunch restaurant, I think we were expecting the same) In conclusion, I would go again, since the food is pretty good for the most part, service is good. Although I might modify my order a bit next time around.

We tried out the classic diner yesterday for brunch/lunch before leaving Malvern - ordered chicken tenders, crab cake sandwich, and a tuna melt. I was eyeing one of the ahi tuna sandwiches (the BLT sounded great) but opted for the crab cake instead. We got everything to-go, but our hotel was very close and we ate everything almost immediately. Tuna melt is the winner here and really pulls the weight for the review - best I've ever had. Tuna salad was fresh tasting and a little on the dry side (without tons if mayo, but that's how I prefer it) and was SMOTHERED in melty, cheesy goodness and topped with tomatoes. Open faced, and one side of the sandwich is enough for one person. I'm going to dream about this tuna melt and need to find one close to me in Western PA. Crab cake was big, but overall a little disappointing. It was very soft and the crab was very finely ground. On the sandwich, it just kinda tasted like you were eating mush. The sauce was delicious though. For almost $19 for the sandwich, I was left wanting more. Tenders were ok- they're homemade and panko crusted and fried which was the draw for me. They were a little dry but good. I subbed ranch instead of bbq and wasn't a big fan of the ranch- it was fluffy and seemed to be very heavy on the sour cream but light on the seasoning. Staff was very friendly and food was done quick despite the restaurant being busy at lunch time. Would go back for the tuna melt in a heartbeat next time i'm in Malvern, but I'll be skipping the crab cake and tenders.

11/24/22 I've never seen a more beautiful presentation of Turkey.

From the moment we walked in, the staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming--it had that pure neighborhood feel that's hard to find these days. Honestly, it felt like we'd known the staff forever even though we had just met. The service was genuine, relaxed, and made us feel right at home. Add in great food, and it was the perfect start to our day. If you're looking for a local spot with a warm atmosphere and excellent breakfast, this place is a must. We'll absolutely be back the next time we're in town.

I was the only individual that wasn't recognized as a regular yet the cozy charm was still imbued amongst the service I received and I was still greeted enthusiastically. ENVIRONMENT Cute and cozy are the first words that come to mind when walking into the breakfast nook. The environment can best be described as the dining room of a cottage. There was ample seating and a sense of familiarity that instantly makes you feel at home. FOOD Bomb coffee!!!! I have to start there. While I was waiting for my food I heard several quips amongst the regulars about the quality of the coffee and I decided to take the dive myself. I was NOT disappointed. The other standouts were the turkey sausage and THE PANCAKES. There's no shortage of breakfast spots along Mainline both commercial and locally owned. Julie Anne's stands out for the warm environment and well-made comfort food. Happy eats!

I freely admit that I was skeptical at first... But after several satisfying dinners - usually as a…read moreprelude to an evening at nearby People's Light - Fork & Bottle has not only captured my attention, it has also continued to impress. The setting, as you would undoubtedly surmise, is typically hotel-esque in nature. That being said, however, the room still manages to generate a certain generic charm. And I would also hasten to add that the service - even with our various parties of 20 or more - has been excellent in every respect. But on to the food... The dinner menu isn't quite what you'd expect. Take the starters, for instance. The usual suspects - Cesare Salad, Shrimp Cocktail, French Onion Soup, Buffalo Chicken Wings, Cheesesteak Egg Rolls - as you note, are present and accounted for. However, there are also a number of innovative diversions - such as Soft Bavarian Pretzel Sticks with Delco Lager cheese sauce, Pepperoni Bolognese Flatbread spruced up with crème fraiche, ricotta, Fontina & Parmigiano cheeses, and the Ten Million Dollar Dip that features Maine lobster, sour cream, bacon, cheddar, almond, scallions, and Ritz crackers - that manage to grab your attention. Moving on, diners may choose from either the Entrées category or take a more casual route with Sandwiches & Pub Fare. The former, which lists a number of all-too-familiar ingestibles, still manages to tempt our taste buds by teaming them up with some rather intriguing sidekicks. A not-terribly-exciting Pan Roasted Chicken, for example, is prepared agrodolce, with an alluring sour-sweet demi-glace... Chilean Sea Bass is cooked up teriyaki style... Canadian Salmon is adorned with a sweet & spicy glaze and companioned by mango & yogurt... Sautéed Lamb Sirloin is enhanced with a rich & savory Madeira sauce... and a 10oz Strip Steak basks in an addictive shallot & port wine reduction. Other main course possibilities include Angus Filet au Poivre with cognac cream, Char Grilled Pork Flat Iron marinated with garlic & oregano, Lobster Fra Diavolo, Crab Stuffed Shrimp, and Broiled Scallop & Lobster Gratin. On the other hand, should you decide to take the Sandwiches & Pub Fare route, have no fear, you will certainly not be disappointed. During previous visits, I sampled the Garganelli Pasta Bolognese and the Chicken Cobb Salad. Both were excellent. The former is comprised of buttered garganelli (egg-based pasta from the Emilia-Romagna region of Italy), angus beef Bolognese, olive oil, and Parmigiano-Reggiano. The latter combines mixed lettuces, hard-boiled egg, tomato, blue cheese, bacon, and avocado sprinkled with a zesty lemon vinaigrette. Most recently, my dining companion made straight for the Crab Cake Sandwich, to which she gave an enthusiastic "thumps up." I, on the other hand, couldn't resist the considerable charms of the Chicken Cutlet & Ranch BLT, a luscious combo on toasted brioche immersed in an incredibly addictive herb ranch dressing. I should add that the delicious hand-cut French fries, which accompanied both sandwiches, were a considerable drawing card as well. The dessert menu runs the gamut... from such familiar sweet endings as Crème Brûlée and Warm Chocolate Lava Cake to Mango Lime Cheesecake with raspberry sauce, Warm Sticky Toffee Pudding garnished with vanilla ice cream, and Frozen Mississippi Mud Pie. The restaurant also offers Bassetts Ice Cream & Sorbet, should you be so inclined. For my money, however, nothing quite surpasses The Desmond's Warm Bread Pudding. Bathed in a sweet vanilla sauce, this is one outrageously rich, thoroughly delightful denouement that more than lives up to its considerable reputation. Simply not to be missed.
