The Classic Diner is adorable albeit cramped. I stopped by the other day with my parents and waiting about 15 or so minutes during brunch time to get a table (which is phenomenal for a Saturday afternoon). They have several types of Eggs Benedict on the menu, but the price range was sort of odd. I got the Classic Eggs Benedict that came with the typical poached eggs, hollandaise, Canadian bacon, English muffin, served with home fried potatoes for $13.00, but the upgrades were all about a dollar or so more (aside from the fish options that were understandably market price) for less ingredients? For example the sautéd spinach option was $1.50 more but didn't include the Canadian bacon? I'm just confused as to why a more expensive option wouldn't also include the meat, I didn't think spinach was more expensive than bacon, but I digress. My mom had some French Toast dish and she said it satisfied her sweet tooth and it really was pretty. Overall food was very good service was quick, but the prices were a little odd. read more

The Classic is the best "diner" we have ever visit! a couple of tops: 1. Best French fries in the area and you can upgrade your breakfast potatoes for $2 for fries. 2.Optional fruit bowl with breakfast - you don't want to miss that. 3. Best burger in town (many towns) 4. Order only 1 pancake not a stack, they are big. 5. Better coffee than Starbucks. You will not leave hungry, but you will most likely you with leave with box. read more

What a phenomenal breakfast I had here. The best word I can think of to describe it is rustic. I just ordered an ordinary eggs and bacon breakfast and this place simply blew it out of the water. The whole grain bread was hearty, artisanal, and freshly baked. The bacon was a meal in itself. As thick cut as I've ever seen and perfectly cooked so that it was crispy and chewy at the same time. I paid a few extra bucks for a side of fruit instead of home fries. As you can see, it was a perfect variety of ideally ripe fruit. You can tell this place pays close attention to detail. Taking simple meals and perfecting them with fresh and quality ingredients. Looking forward to checking the is place again for lunch and making a go-to for a an awesome breakfast. read more

The best thing they have going for them is their overpriced Lavazza coffee. The food is acceptable, however, extremely overvalued for what you get. Scrapple and eggs? That's a couple dollars, max. Avocado toast? This isn't San Francisco. Save your money and go somewhere else. read more

My husband and I have been wanting to try this place since we moved to Malvern. I ordered a burger and fries. When I opened the case of fries (which they gave us a lot for a take-out order) I thought there was a ton of old bay seasoning on it, but it was not. There was a lot of salt, but they tasted really good. The burger was well done too. On top of that, our orders were still warm by the time we got back to our apartment. I look forward to eating here again soon. read more

The food here is unreal. We go here for breakfast as a family a few times a month and it never disappoints. Just expect to be a bit cramped, which is the only downside. That said, the food more than makes up for it. Every time we have people visiting, we go here and it's always a fan favorite. Staff is always pleasant and attentive. read more

Been here before, but the service was SO poor AND the prices even higher that I had to write a review. Two of us stopped in for late lunch yesterday, Sunday, around 1 PM-ish (04Jun2023). Not too busy... plenty of visibly open tables and seats at the counter. Very little/No line. Self-sat at the counter. It took 5-10 minutes for any of the 8-10 wait staff walking around and past us to even acknowledge us AS WE SAT AT THE COUNTER. We asked for coffee and menus. Another 10 minutes goes by. We placed our order and waited. Drank our coffees and juice empty. None of the waitstaff seemed to notice. Had to grab somebody for refills. Food was great. Prices, as always, high (nosebleed). Plus, they now add 10% to their already high prices. Our total bill for two came to $80 (inc. tip). Next time we'll go to Nudy's across the street and down a few blocks. read more

Love this place. The dishes are substantial. The burger and fries are soooooo good

Wow! What a breakfast spot! Perhaps the best I have ever had. Attentive service and amazing food! FRESH! I had an amazing bacon and pepper Jack omelette with avocado on the side and fruit instead of home fries. The fruit plates was like something from the islands! Huge and fresh! Not a beat missed. Great coffee and fresh lemon in my mason jar water!! Highly recommend!!! Oh...and the music...perfect! read more

Menu great, but sadly we didn't stay to taste anything because they didn't seat us. Stood waiting, no line, only 2 people. Not greeted, but walked past many times. Seats open- clearly we weren't the right people for them to consider us patrons. Are there once before, enjoyed the eggs Benedict, but now I am never going back. Do not recommend. read more

This place is solid but kind of overpriced for breakfast. Try the breakfast sandwich and thank me later!

My colleague and I were on business from out of town and needed an early breakfast. I think the reason we picked Classic Diner was because it opened 30 minutes earlier than anything nearby. What a great decision I made! We pulled up and thought out loud " This doesn't look like a diner". Turned out to be a very cute (old house?) that had been completely redone and beautifully finished and furnished. So the food? Well, I had a deconstructed bagel with cream cheese, a ton of lox, and all the rest of the fixin's. Tomatoes, capers, onions, cornichon, and a hard boiled egg. The meal was the size of a dinner... and then I got a side of scrapple that was as good as anything I have had outside of MD or DE. I couldn't even tell you what my friend had because I was concentrating on this deliciousness, but she did thoroughly enjoy her food and the experience. Can't wait to go back in a few weeks! read more

Had brunch here with a friend, it was pretty good! The service was good, not overly great. The portions are okay sized and I think they serve breakfast all day which is nice (I love breakfast foods so I'm biased). The vanilla latte was a bit too sweet for me but had a nice vanilla flavor (not so much coffee though). My friend got an iced coffee here and said it was just okay. I would recommend getting the avocado toast with something on the side to pair it with, otherwise it's pretty bland by itself unless that's your cup of tea. The whipped cream was an additional add-on that I would recommend - a good amount and it tastes homemade! Overall I would come back here again but it is a bit pricey for what their menu entails and portion-wise, definitely more pricey than your average diner. Inside was nice and crowded on a Saturday morning, which was to be expected. For my party of 2 the wait was about 15 mins. They don't take reservations, walk-in only. read more

Decent food but pretty expensive for what they are serving. Lovely vibes in some parts of the store other parts are pretty bad and fluorescents gave me such a bad headache I had to move. Worst "bacon"!I have ever eaten. Four strips, thick cut and cooked hard like jerky. They charge huge money for bacon. Rest of our meals were fine. Scrapple was also cut thin and wasn't crisp. Pricey for what you get read more

I have been going here for 15 years. The parking is terrible, the tables are crowded together and there is a good chance that you will have a wait before being seated. Funny thing is, it is totally worth it! I truly love this place. The food is consistently delicious. The menu has just enough choices to make you stop and think. The bacon is thick, the home fries are incredible and don't even get me started on the French toast options! This past visit I had the avocado toast topped with tomatoes and sprouts - oh, my, go read more

Probably should not have the title as "diner" since they really dont have alot of options. At best, maybe a "cafe". The place has decent food, but way too over priced for an a la carte place. However, you can tell that everything is made with fresh ingrediengs and is cooked-to-order. Certainly would not recommend the space for large groups since it is fairly small, but certainly ideal for a small breakfast or lunch date. Nice farmhouse feel. read more

This place was great. We sat outside as there was no wait, but the weather was great and it was quieter outside than in. Food selection vast and I was able to find a delicious portabella sandwich. All good ordered looked really good. Friendly and quick service. read more

My family and I had another great brunch here. We used the reserve ahead seating through Yelp and they had a table ready for us when we got there. I ordered my daughter one pancake with blueberries. The one pancake was HUGE and she absolutely loved it for breakfast over several days. They made it into a Mickey Mouse shape for her which was so cute. I ordered the stuffed French toast with Nutella and strawberries and the husband ordered the turkey club. Bother we're great and huge portions. It is always a lovely experience when eating at Classic Diner. The decor, service and food are always great!

This used to be a favorite, but after visiting this August, we were by far disgusted at the amount of filth. This place was so dirty, from the floors to the walls, the trim was rotting, and I would have never put my child in their high chair. Oh and the A/C was dripping condensation on us. Food was ok, service not so good. Sorry to say we will never return! read more

We dropped by on a whim and discovered this jewel. The staff was wonderful, the decor was classic, clean and welcoming. This was our initial impression before we even ordered. The servers here are so kind and thoughtful! Last time, I tried the turkey hash, and it was a great choice. I was on the fence about trying something new, but will definitely crave it later!! My mom is obsessed with the turkey chili, which is also great. I have had their breakfast egg meal and quesadillas, and everything has been delicious. Extra points for La Vazza coffee, which is so good too. Ambiance is a cute modern farm-ish style. Would definitely recommend. read more

The food was good, we kept it simple today and went with the poached eggs, wheat toast, potatoes, and tomatoes, so I can't tell you how their specialities are, but the eggs were poached perfectly! The toast was a huge piece and went great with the tomatoes. The potatoes were also perfectly cooked and lightly seasoned. We took out order to go. It was ready on time and the staff were friendly. read more

I got to spend some time visiting a friend while on a business trip to Philly and she took me here for breakfast. I figured it would be good because she always finds the best places, but I was still surprised at how good it was! I am not a big breakfast person and as I've gotten older I'm not able to put away the French toast, pancakes and waffles like I did as a kid. So I tend to eat a boiled egg and some fruit at home. I know, boring. When I saw the menu at this little gem of a spot, I got a little excited about the options! So many yummy things listed. I ordered a cup of the steel cut oats because I was intrigued by the "spiced" with "caramelized pears and dried currants" and topped with "homemade whipped cream" description. I also ordered a side of apple sausage for a bit of extra protein. The "cup" of oatmeal was bowl-sized and filled with what could have been mistaken for a fall-themed dessert. The oats were cooked perfectly and seasoned in just the right way. Cinnamon for sure although I'm not sure what else was mixed in to make such a heavenly bite. The caramelized pear was a perfect mix and the and lovely whipped cream added a nice creamy component to the whole dish. I have to say it's the best oatmeal I've ever had. Hands down! The apple sausage was also delicious - a nice serving size of juicy, flavorful and perfectly cooked sausage was a good complement to the just-right-sweet flavor of the oats. The coffee was also fantastic and when my friend shared a piece of her bacon with me I almost died and went to heaven. It's thick-cut and was cooked to absolute perfection. I almost wanted to place my own order even though I was stuffed! All in all, a solid option if you're looking for an excellent breakfast spot with lots of creative menu choices! read more

I LOVE this place. We went there around 1PM and the wait was about 20 minutes, which wasn't too bad. Once we sat down, we ordered the following: 1) Turkey Chili - YUM! 2) Classic Benedict with Ahi Tuna Steak - the hollandaise sauce was superb. 3) Buttermilk Pancakes with Chocolate Chips & Strawberries - this is a guilty pleasure... dessert for breakfast! The pancakes were so good that no syrup was needed. 4) Belgian Waffle with Whipped Cream & Bananas - YUM! The whipped cream was so fluffy and light. I'm not even a big fan of whipped cream either. Everything was perfect. I would definitely return again. There aren't that many places that I would rate 5 stars... but this is it!! read more

I love this place but I may never be able to go back. Waitress at the counter had a rude customer for pick up. After she handled him she mouthed a racial slur about him to another patron in conversation. Which we observed. So unacceptable, can't support that type of thing. Will miss their bacon. read more

What a great find. I'm from out of town and this place was not tops on Yelp list, but should be. A higher end breakfast but worth the price. Everything we had was delicious and plated to enhance your visual palate. From coffee to eggs to lox and cream cheese all was delicious. Brioche French toast was just right. Bacon was more of a thick cut pork belly that melted in you mouth. Can't wait to try other things here on my next trip to town. read more

Well I figured out the trick to getting a table here. For a few years, it seemed like when I tried to make it down here for lunch, I couldn't even get into the parking lot it was so crowded. So, I eventually stopped trying. However, pick the July 4th week that half of the local workforce is on vacation, and you can get seated pretty quickly and a decent parking spot to boot for lunch. That being said this place was still busy. I don't know if I will make it back here or not. But after the meal I had there today, I really hope I do. I enjoy turkey burgers, but I'm hard pressed to find a restaurant that makes them properly. After seeing previous reviews, I gave the turkey burger a shot topped with their famous bacon. Best turkey burger I have had at a restaurant by far! And that bacon... All of the hype people have been giving the bacon here is well deserved. I took a piece off of the burger and had it solo. Just incredibly thick and tasty! Perfection! No sides came with the burger. It was 8 bucks on its own. The bacon topping was 3 extra bucks. Normally I'd be calling that overpriced. But the size of everything is so huge that you won't care. I did try a cup of the turkey chili on the side, and it had a good kick. Made for something good to dip the turkey burger in as well. Service was perfect. Quick and friendly. I'd give it 4.5 stars if I could. The cramped feeling of the place holds me back but only slightly. The fact that I just can't seem to get in most of the time due to the crowds is a bummer. But food wise, 5 stars all the way! read more

Very good breakfast! Occasionally am there is a mistake when door dashing. Club sandwich is excellent! Always an enjoyable meal.

Not a fan. Seating is really tight, almost to the point that it seems like you're eating breakfast with complete strangers. Slow service, food is ok, but not great and it's a bit overpriced. You can go up the road a bit to Nudys for much better food and service. read more
