Food: best brunch/breakfast place in loma linda/redlands area! This definitely beats Carolyn's cafe by 100%. I've come here multiple times, the most recent being today morning after my long night shift with my bf. He got southern comfort, which was alright. But I got egg benedict, both their Cali benedict and crab cake benedict are so delicious! Egg is perfectly poached everytime, hollandaise sauce is generous and rich and buttery, the crab cake is warm and well seasoned with good amount of crab on each bite. Their portion sizes are huge and I always end up taking the leftovers home Price: each benedict it around $14-18, other dishes also range around there. Given that big portion size and I end up eating their food for 2 meals, I'd say definitely worth the cost Ambiance: traditional American diner vibe, clean with rustic amd wooden interior designs. Bigger inside than I thought with many tables and bar area. Busy on weekend mornings but not crazy, I was always able to grab seats in 5-10 minutes Service: wow the waitresses are always so friendly, they have beautiful smiles. I realized one third way into my meal today that I had actually received a wrong order, which was fine since it tasted good anyway haha. But when I mentioned it to the waitress, she apologized and just gave me a whole new free meal with correct order! I got to keep the other meal still and took it for to go. The fried steak itself was actually decent quality unlike many other country fried steaks you might find at some random breakfast place. The portions are generous so you could easily make 2 meals out of everything here. If you want pancakes with your breakfast, you should be warned that they're the size of car tires. They're huge and soak up syrup like a parched houseplant in the middle of the desert. Are they the best pancakes ever? Not yet, but they're pretty freaking big. After a couple of visits spread far apart, I'm very satisfied with this operation. Expect a wait list. It's quite popular. On both occasions, I was with my father, and we got the same table. I'd love to try a sandwich or something different, but so far, it's been early mornings for breakfast. Parking in the lot is tight, and I recommend parking on the street. The wait wasn't bad on either trip and the staff are all fun and have good attitudes. The menu itself is pretty deep if you look at it too long. I've found I keep changing my mind as I read the descriptions, then narrow it down to three. Then flip a coin. No coin involved, but you get the idea. My first time I got the pastrami benedict, with country potatoes (includes onions and bell peppers). I found everything perfectly cooked but thought yellow mustard might be a better choice than spicy brown. Nevertheless, I enjoyed it. Corned Beef Hash sounded good to Dad that first time. However, Dad got the regular benedict this time, and it came with three eggs! 'Cause odd numbers look better. My expansion took me to the so-called Kickin' Chicken and Biscuits, which features Cajun spiced chicken tenders and their scrumptious Biscuits and Gravy. About those biscuits... fresh, moist (how many times have you had hardtack at other restaurants?), and amazing gravy. 5* a few dashes of hotsauce made the chicken really kick. Dad enjoyed his eggs, and the sauce looked excellent. Maybe his potatoes were a tad overcooked? Coffee is really good here, and a big mug usually does me right, no refill to date. Great place to have breakfast. My husband and I had reservations to eat at Serrano Buffet at Yaamava Casino. Over 100 people in line....no thank you! So hubby searched for a place to eat and he found this place. As soon as you enter, it feels homey and food smells delicious. My hubby ordered the State St Omelet, which had bacon, sausage, mushrooms, spinach, onions, bell peppers, tomatoes, diced Ortega chiles and cheddar cheese. He got the hashbrowns and wheat toast with it. It was delicious! I was unsure of what to get and asked about their Loco Moco. Server said it was good and that Hawaaian natives enjoyed the dish so I went for it. Delicious!!!! It is fried rice topped with certified Angus Patty, and 2 eggs covered with gravy. You can make it a Big Kahuna and they add Spam. I got the eggs medium over. Cannot tell you how much I enjoyed eating this dish. Staff is super nice and very attentive. Very good food, insanely expensive for breakfast. And you can only have one mimosa because they're so expensive. Unless of course you've got money to throw away. Service is OK, not a lot of smiles. If you're splitting a breakfast, they will charge you two dollars for an extra plate. They won't split your breakfast for you, but they'll charge you just for putting the plate on your table. Then they charge an extra 4% if you use a credit card. So by the time you get out of there you're paying all kinds of extra money. Like they don't make enough already off of an egg. read more

My wife and I come to this breakfast spot every year for our anniversary -- it's been our tradition. The service here has always been excellent, and everyone has always been so kind. Stacy, in particular, has always been amazing -- friendly, attentive, and easy to get along with. Unfortunately, this year was different. We asked Maddy for napkins, and instead of acknowledging us, she rolled her eyes and walked away before we even finished speaking. We mentioned it to Jennie, who seemed to be the shift lead, and when Maddy returned, she tossed the napkins on the table right in front of her. I asked Jennie if she saw it, and she confirmed that she did. On top of that, Maddy's attitude created an uncomfortable, awkward environment that completely changed the tone of our morning. A small discount was applied to our bill, but that's not the point -- it's the principle. We felt embarrassed on what was supposed to be a special day. We're typically the quiet, appreciative couple that always treats our servers with respect, so it was upsetting to have this experience, especially on our anniversary. It even made my wife emotional, which made the whole situation worse. It's sad to see such a great place affected by one person's lack of care. Stopped by here with two friends in the middle of a bike ride. Well I'm not sure if you can call it a bike ride, we rode two miles hungover and wanted a break. This place had kinda outside seating where we could stash our bikes which was perfect. Our smart friend got the avocado toast, one friend got the breakfast burrito, and I got the country fried steak. These portions were enormous and everything was pretty good. I worked up more of a sweat eating than I did biking. Too full to bike home but luckily it was all downhill in the bike path.
