Great spot for a quick and easy chop salad

This is a cute little place! I was craving salad one day and this happened to show up. Although I enjoy Salata a bit more, I liked how everything works here. It's a confusing mix when you walk in, but its similar to Salata and Chipotle- after you know you just know. SERVICE was a 5! The staff was friendly and cheery and we're all quite helpful with our first time decisions. You can mix the kinds of greens you want, and you can pick a set number of things to add in. I thought it was cheaper than Salata until I realized protein costs about $2-$3 with whatever kind you put in there. So it's about the same depending on what you pick! They chop it up finely for you and mix in your selected dressing. I ordered a salad& my bf got the breaded version. It's interesting how they shell it out and make them a crouton product they sell as well. I'll be back when I'm craving a good mix of salad! Also I like the plastic bowls the salad comes in. i just came in out of curiosity and figured its just a sandwich. going thru menu i got confused and figured it like cobb salad so ill go with the metro. It was some good stuff and above average sandwich but it costs more than average sandwich. Went to BZ for the first time today. The line was ridiculous (almost out the door) but the food was well worth the wait. I got a Plymouth Rock Zeppelin with champagne vinaigrette and no beets. It's delicious. The staff was very nice, and didn't seem at all overwhelmed by the crowd. Fresh ingredients and expansive selection. I'll be coming back. read more

Delicious. It's rare to find a place where you can get actual quality lettuce for a salad, along with a lot of other ingrediants that are tasty and fresh. On top of all that, it's fast and affordable. It's become my new favorite lunch place lately and I'm about to go back today. I've enjoyed both of the pre-made salads I've had and will probably try to make my own today. I also recommend the Voodoo chips, as they're my favorite potato chips (which I generally don't even like) in the world. read more

I loved the concept and the freshness of the ingredient. I picked the Metropolitan Cobb and it was ok. I think the avocado, egg, and the cheese being overchopped and mixed made it a bit too "mushy" for my palette. Also, please note that the food is quite filling! Make sure you add a ton of condiments to add flavor, otherwise, prep for a pretty bland salad/sandwich. I stopped in with the little one about 10 minutes before closing on a Friday eve, and the employees were definitely clock watching, but were friendly enough. This is one of my favorite sandwich shops; although, I realized that it's technically a "salad" shop- not sandwich. Haha. Anyways, I fell in love with the Zepplin after eating at the Irving/Las Colinas location and was super happy this one opened. I usually get he southwest Zepplin that comes with black beans, avocados, cotija cheese, corn and choice of meat (chicken for me) with avocado ranch & then a side of sriracha. This has always been my go-to sandwich but today I decided to be a rebel and try the metropolitan cobb. It comes with bacon, avocado, egg, bleu cheese and choice of meat (chicken). It's really refreshing from the southwest! It's always a show when you order your food because someone will chop it up in front of you. If you come during lunchtime, there will be a wait and parking is hard to find because there's a lot of places to eat right here. I've never had a salad here but they are ginormous. One day, I'll be even more of a rebel and get a salad. read more

This place is amazing! A wide variety of salad options are quickly and efficiently chopped up and served either in a bowl or a hollowed-out oval bread roll. Other options include drinks, cookies, soups, and chips. Prices are reasonable, but watch for the added extras as they can quickly add up but the quality - and variety - is second to none. Lunch with the wife, mother-in-law, and brother-in-law. This was a first time visit for all of us, however I won't be reviewing what they ordered today, merely my own. I had a custom Zeppelin, with a mix of spinach and romaine. I added mushrooms, black olives, broccoli, and carrots. My protein for the day was chicken, with some added feta cheese. I finished it off with some Greek Vinaigrette. So the preparation was to chop the salad, cut an end off the mini baguette and core it, then stuff with salad. Essentially a small salad sandwich. I will say I was especially surprised. Everything tasted fresh, the dressing wasn't too heavy, and the bread tasty / crunchy. The bread didn't get too mushy as well, but if you waited to long it would probably happen. Overall, I definitely enjoyed and will be coming back. The price is a little prohibitive, but the quality is worth it (No wilted Subway-esque iceberg here). read more

Having been to the Irving location, I couldn't wait for their Plano location to open. It's become one of my favorite spots for a (somewhat) quick meal. The location is clean, convenient and nicely decorated. The salad options are pretty numerous, though the salad ingredient choices are somewhat sparser than say Salata. I have tried quite a few of their options and have been very pleased with the freshness and quality. The two things that really shine in my opinion are the baguettes, which makes an eloquently delicious way to eat your salad sans fork, and the dressings. The Tejano Caesar has been by far my favorite though I am still in the process of trying others. While I agree the price seems a bit on the high side, it is worth it for the quality of the ingredients you receive. Bread Zeppelin is a fantastic concept and its quality and execution lives up to its promise. read more

Haven't been here in quite a while. I have always enjoyed their Zeppelins as it is an interesting and unique way to eat a salad. I did a build your own and it was as good as I remember. I was however disappointed by the size. It seemed very small for the price. The other issue was checking out. It took longer to check out than it took to get my food. I used to love going here all the time. Until recently they have skimped on my salad the last 2 times. Filling the bowl up half way the first time and then the next time asking for "extra" lettuce and they said they don't do that. Come to check out and my bowl is still not filled up. Probably my favorite place to get a salad in the Dallas area. There are two locations, and I really wish they had a location in Uptown or Allen. Love the way the chop everything up and mix it together for you. That way every bite is a good mixture of everything. I recommend trying the fried chicken with the avocado ranch dressing. Went for lunch 9/17/2020. Complete disappointed! I got the Metro Cobb, $15.00 for a salad completely comparable with a McDonald's salad (maybe $5.00). Iceberg lettuce with tiny servings of all the toppings, (lettuce was slimy). The tables and restroom were dirty; our table was very grimy. I will not go back to this overrated salary fast food place. So yummy! I'd give 5 stars but the service was horribly blah. They were out of tea and another (lemonade I think), but when I told the girl at the register...she just said "oh" and went back to what she was doing....didn't even tell anyone else or TRY for a solution. We ate in....and it was still empty when we left. The beverage area was a disaster and not one of the 6 or 7 people behind the counter cared. They also made my 9 year old daughter, (who could barely see all of the options) order 3 people down from me on her own...while I was ordering...forcing me to try to yell across 3 adults ordering to help her. Just bad bad customer service all together....but a really yummy concept. I don't know how they did it when so many other great choices for salads are here in Dallas. But Bread Zeppelin to me has redefined the salad experience. I love going here and would go here several times a week if my wife would let me! My kids also love this place. I love how they chop up the salads and make it so easy (not having to chomp on huge bulky lettuce heads, etc.). It's always fresh and delicious. Went to the colony location. The setup is typical choose your own ingredients up to 6 or buy their creation. I created my own bowl up to 6 ingredients (pinches). Meats, even bacon bits are extra. I added chicken, which is undetectable. I had to ask were they sure it was added. The quality of greens and ingredients looked very fresh, but I couldn't taste anything except for the balsamic vinaigrette I chose which is very good. My choice for create your own salad bars, I will choose Jason's deli or Salata. I will give another chance and try a Zeppelin in the future. Hopefully my # of stars will increase. read more
