All of their zeppelins are great but I can't stop ordering the Washington State Zeppelins. The hot baked bread is unique and delicious.

I don't really understand the following Bread Zeppelin has. In fact, after my first visit here I was turned off that I've done everything in my power to go anywhere but here whenever I get a salad hankering. When I entered into the establishment the staff was friendly but they seemed really mechanical. I suppose that isn't necessarily a negative thing but it made me feel as if I were talking to a robot that could barely hear what I said through the glass separating us. The instructions for salad creation also threw me off. I'm not used to there being a limit on the variety of vegetables I want in my salad - normally it's a free for all and that's the way I like it. I understood even less about making a zeppelin so I didn't even bother trying to understand that process. I don't want to have to try to decipher what my food is supposed to be when I'm that hungry. I also really dislike the "tell me when to stop squirting the sauce bit". Hell, like I know a few feet away when I want you to stop putting sauce or dressing on my salad. The whole process of cutting up the vegetables (mostly all the kale I ordered) was cool but it was also extremely time consuming. I can only imagine the bottleneck it creates during a rush. I also wasn't impressed by the portions of different vegetables. When I say I want some mushrooms, I want a big ole' handful of mushrooms in my salad. I'm ordering a salad so I want all the veggies possible. I don't really get the allure about this place and there are much better make-your-own-salad establishments nearby that I can vouch for. read more

The Metropolitan Cobb Zeppelin is tasty. The NOLA Zeppelin is alright. And the Atlantis is pretty good. They have a lot protein options which I like (beef, shrimp, chicken, tofu, etc). I recommend this salad/sandwich place. They also of bread pudding if you are interested. read more

I agree with just about every positive post on here! It is perfect for what it is (sandwich and salad spot with a variety of fresh options). It is not worth driving 30+ minutes for, but it is an ideal lunch spot where just about anyone can find something he/she wants. Great for on the go too! read more

Very cool concept - never seen anything like it. Think chipotle meets salads. Sounds weird, I know. They take a sub roll, toast it, hollow it out, and stuff it with salad and meet. They have a variety of meats and types of greenery, which they provide a menu of pre-though-of combinations, or you're welcome to make your own. I definitely recommend this place if you're looking for a quick healthy lunch option. read more

Salad in a baguette? Who comes up with these awesome concepts? I was way impressed by Bread Zeppelin. First time here, and I had the Southwest Chicken Zeppelin with avocado ranch. The live was a little long, but there were several employees working and it didn't take long at all. Its like a salad assembly line lol. You can order either a salad or a "Zeppelin" which is your salad stuffed in a baguette. Ordered my salad-bread-thingy which was very reasonably priced (about 8-9.00 average for food). My friend had the Washington Zeppelin. We were both so impressed by the freshness and tastiness of our meals. And they were super filling. Looks like I found a new salad place! read more

I eat at this location at least once a week. I always order the same thing and for some reason it's never the same. Sometimes they give me the extra amount left over from my zeppelin and sometimes they don't. Sometimes that amount left over is where all of the avocado ends up. None the less, I love this place. I just wish they were more consistent in their practices. They don't sell boxes of chocolates so I would assume you know what you're going to get. That's not this location. read more

I have to tell you what an extraordinary team they have at this location. I have been a huge Bread Zepplin fan for two years now because of this team and their dedication to customer service. Not only are their salads excellent to the point that I'm obsessed with them, the people working here care enough to remember their customers right down to the exact way they like their salad. Even after a year of not seeing them. The manager at this location is top notch and a credit to his craft. Even after my office moved and I had to start patronizing another location he still remembers me and how I like my salad a year later. I'm entirely impressed and go out of my way to come here just for the people. read more

I honestly have yet to try the zeppelin (still), but I definitely will sometime since I was so much more pleased with my experience this time around. I still got the Plymouth Rock but only because I enjoyed it a lot last time! This time around, I was more aware of how much dressing I wanted although it's still hard to gauge. I got a Zeppelin and my husband got a bowl. Pretty good! The reason for my 3-Star review is due to employee dental hygiene... the salad makers were awesome, but I'm still kinda queasy over the lady who was running the check out counter. I am so sorry to post this, but it almost ruined our whole experience. I'm not here to make fun of her or anything, but I'm just hoping maybe they can put her in a different spot at the restaurant and not the last person you see before eating your meal? read more

Came here to have lunch with friends and ordered the Atlantis Salad with lite greek dressing. Salad as too much for me but I couldn't tell my body no! Will be back! Had a bite of my boyfriends sandwich and it was awesome as well. Would only come here for Salads though. I think that is where they specialize. read more

Heard of this place, so wanted to give it a try. Sandwich is sort of a wrap, which I really am not too fond of, but this place was really good. Had the Nola and the Metropolitan. Nola was sort of a poor boy and the Metro was a Cobb salad in a sandwich. Both were really good. They should have a combo with chips and a drink though. read more

I love Bread Zeppelin I go to the one in Irving frequently. I'm am in Plano today so I stopped by the this one to grab 2 salads to go. It was right at opening so assumed all would be fresh and ready. I ordered the Cobb and a build your own. After I ordered and she started making my salad she informed me they had no bacon. Well had I known before I would have chosen a different salad. So that was a little frustrating. As I moved up in line the guy in front of me as ordered a Tejano Caesar and he had to ask them to put the cheese and jalapeño in it as they were chopping as it was left out when made. Obviously the person making the salads was not on top of it today. I paid $21 plus $4 tip anyways and drove home with my salads. As I start eating my Cobb again no bacon(they were out at opening) they also forgot the egg. I mean come on very few ingredients to mess up. From the reviews, you can tell skipping or missing toppings is the norm at this location. In addition to the issues, out of 4 servers on the line only 1 went out of their way to take care of the guy in front of me and also speak to me and the others in the line. Very cool concept. I opted not to get my salad put in the bread bowl on my last visit but I think it's really neat that they do that here. There are a lot of salad options in this area and each of them has their own special thing. Bread Zeppelin's is their dressings. There are so many options it would take me months to go through all of them. When you go just ask them to sample one or two and they will oblige you. The creamy wasabi was pretty awesome. If you go for lunch, I would highly recommend taking your lunch break early because when we came at noon, it took about 20 minutes to get through the line. Fantastic concept! I like salads, but they often leave me wanting more....enter Bread Zeppelin, where they take a fresh crusty baguette and hollow it out into a bread-bowl, but for your salad. This is what all custom salad concepts should strive for, where your salad isn't merely tossed in dressing. Here, they chop all the ingredients together to mix it into the salad of your dreams. so i went to this place a long long long time ago and wasn't impressed. im a slut for good bread (crunchy crust and soft inside) esp if its hand made but the overall combination didn't please me last time. anyways i went back after seeing the crazy ratings and it feels so good to be reunited. i approach this as a sandwich place that chops the inside. really good. tons of option, including lettuce options. i LOVE the bread. someone said sourdough but i dont think it is as i dont like sourdough if you want a sandwich taste get half the dressing. really good. I always love a new salad/ sandwich place in town. I went over for a quick lunch and was presently surprised by the salad I had. It was GREAT! They have a great pre-set salad/ sandwich menu but feel free to build your own. I like that they chop everything in front of you and ask you how much dressing. My first salad was just the basic Caesar and boy was it great! The dressing could be my favorite in Plano. I cant wait for my next trip and new salad choice. read more

This is DEFINITELY one of my favorite places to eat for lunch or dinner. I love the concept and I'm a sucker for bread so it's a great combination for me. I've been multiple times but I only get the zeppelin because I love their bread so much. I like that you can watch how the zeppelin is made and you can cater your order at pretty much every step of the way. I have had the Lone Star, the Southwest, and the Tejano Caesar and they were all delicious. All of the dressings are great too!! read more

I had a salad bowl and the salad was chopped to a pulp. Could barely identify what you were eating and the salad dressings were very bland. Unlike other salad places they limit what you can put on your salad and limit the amount you can get more if you want to pay more. read more

Love eating here every time I visit my folks in Carrollton. I get the Classic Ceasar or the Shanghai. You can't miss with either. Service is quick and friendly, and I met one of the owners ("Andrew" I think)...he was a pretty cool dude. My only complaint is that they don't have a location in Austin, where I live. However, I'll be getting my Thanksgiving fix when I come in town on Wednesday.... Bottom line: great food, great service, great prices. Give it a try. read more

Great place for the salad of your choice! You can choose your own salad option or pick from several that they recommend. There is also an option for having your salad in their homemade bread. Lots of choices and very fresh. The salad is huge and I can never finish....Perhaps would be nice to have the dressing on the side so you don't take a soggy one home. read more

I come here a lot after work because my group likes this place. I'm not the biggest fan because I'm a meat lover and don't believe in paying their prices for salad and bread. I have the say...the ingredient always look fresh. I started getting their soup and like the potato leak. The broccoli cheddar was undesired because the broccoli was very overcooked. Tried Bread Zeppelin for the first time last night. I had the Atlantis (Greek) and the husband had the Southwest, both zeppelins. We loved them but I loved my Atlantis best. The bread is just the perfect thickness adding a nice crispy shell to the fresh delicious chopped salad. We also tried their chocolate chip cookie and it was great. The guys there were all so nice! This place has everything right. The zeppelins and salads are fantastic, I've had every one of them. The ingredients are above average quality and the service is absolutely fantastic. I've been in there when it's extremely busy and you still get through the line in a very acceptable time. Word of advice to management: keep it simple. I've seen perfectly good concepts with great customer experiences get ruined when management began overthinking things. It's all good as it is, don't mess it up! P.S. The dressing have no flavor. If you get meat added to your salad its not much and has no flavor. The upside I do like tbe way they chop the lettuce. I just need more flavor in the meat and dressings read more

This was my first time here so I got the Pacific shrimp bowl. Pretty mediocre salad; There were hardly any ingredients and they forgot my avocado. I also think it was pretty overpriced for what I got. It's a good concept but there's a lot of room for improvement here. read more

It's a hit or miss with this place. The salads can be "overly" chopped. There are minimal toppings served on the salad, also slightly overpriced. My husband had the southwest sandwich which was very tasty. I would prefer sandwiches more than the salads here. read more

An amazing salad of your choice (they have a ton of options) in a warm fresh baked French baguette? Does it get better? You can tell all the ingredients are FRESH! New to the area, thought I'd check this place out based on the reviews and I'm so glad I did! Salad tucked inside a warm baguette!!!! Need I say more?? The concept sounded no so tasty to me but after the first bite I was hooked! The service is fast and friendly.
