First time trying this place, I really liked it. For my base, I got half quinoa and half kale- they gave me a good amount. As a vegetarian, I was happy to see they had tofu as a protein option. In terms of toppings, there were many to choose from. Many different sauces/dressings as well. My bowl was very flavorful. The only reason I subtracted a star is because some of (about half) my tofu was burnt very dark to the point of being very rubbery. Everything else was great. The staff were very nice and helpful. Was not impressed by my visit to the Sweetgreen in Addison. I ordered the new Carmelized Garlic Steak bowl which was mostly rice. The steak looked nothing like the photo and although it was tender, I ran into alot of grizzle, which totally grossed me out. We also ordered the kid's Ranchy Chicken and rice. I have to admit, the chicken was cooked perfectly and the ranch and green goddess dipping sauce was delish. The added parmesan crisps were also very good. Tasty salad with tender delicious meat served by friendly staff is a nice clean crisp restaurant. First time here. Got here right before the rush, it was PACKED by the time we left. Staff were very friendly, competent and efficient. Inside and nice and bright, simple atmosphere. Everything was clean. I ordered the Kale Caesar Salad with their new steak. It was a great salad. In lieu croutons there were crispy Parmesan pieces that were great. The streak was indeed tender and tasty. I did opt for the heavy dressing options. Still could have used more, but that is more a personal preference. Visited this spot due to Yelp Elite Event. Upon entry, it was bright and super clean. I was greeted the moment I walked in and was guided throughout the entire process. Margaret helped me and was super patient as this was my first time at sweetgreens. She was super helpful as she provided the various options, explained how it works and answered all my questions patiently. I opted for the new protein bowl with garlic steak. At the time, there wasn't enough of the steak so she let me pick another protein as I was in a rush to eat due to time constraints. The protein bowl was flavorful and the steak was seasoned well. Meh, I've had better.... I've been to Sweetgreen twice now and have ordered something different both times, and both times, I finished the meal feeling like it was ok, but nothing to write home about. The best thing that I've had here, and I've had it both times, is the roasted sweet potatoes with green goddess dressing! It gets an A. The other bowls/plates I've had here were fresh but lacked pizazz. Today I had the chicken fajita plate. I was surprised that tortillas weren't a part of it. Also there were only about 5 pieces of chicken with 2 out-of-place sweet potatoes mixed in with the chicken. The flavors of the dish were ok, and the ingredients were fresh, but I felt like I've had something similar elsewhere and it was done better at other places. This place is similar to Cava, Snappy Salads, and Chipotle in design and ordering set-up, but honestly, I like all of those places better than sweetgreen. The staff here is friendly and the prices are comparable to the places I mentioned, but this is lower on the totem pole than all of them. Spacious inside with good amount of seating and for the most part was clean. There's a good selection and most items seemed fresh. What I didn't like was that the protiens and veggies were all cut very small almost diced so the texture of each bite just wasn't there and you couldn't taste each ingredient well. I've been to other locations and felt that they were more generous with their toppings and the food seemed more seasoned and better but this location (maybe I went on an off day) just wasn't as good. I love a good "build your own" salad bowl and this place can easily be added to the rotation. My first impressions walking in was that it has a cute/chill vibe to it. Both the indoor and outdoor areas were clean and provides reasonable sitting accommodations. The workers were warm and welcoming and one of them took the time to explain the entire menu to to me since it was my first time. My bowl was good and I appreciated the well-seasoned blackened chicken. Next time, I will need to try the sweet potatoes because I noticed a few customers had it in their bowls. A couple of downsides here are the limited toppings. After your 4 initial toppings, it costs an extra $0.50 per topping. This does not include the premium toppings (boiled egg, avocado, seasonal ingredients) so the price can definitely add up. I was also surprised to not see a steak or salmon option for protein. First things first - I LOVE sweetgreen! I prefer it over other make-your-own-bowl places 99% of the time, and I frequently go to the Uptown location. I love the seasonal ingredients and think the portion sizes are good. I also appreciate the drink selection and their new dessert option. The service is decent, a little slow for lunchtime when a large line is forming. A few negatives - the premium topping seasonal peaches were soft and mushy and were unpleasant in the bowl. Places like Salata give you unlimited toppings, and here if you get more than 4 you have to pay extra. If you get cheese, tofu, roasted sweet potatoes, etc you have to pay extra. The only seating inside is for 1 or 2 people, so if you come with a group expect to sit outside at a picnic table-style seat. I would return due to proximity to where I live, but there are better locations in DFW. read more

I think the build your own bowl is a little confusing... it seems like it's an extra charge for adding things. I selected off the menu / customized it a little. Tried the garlic chili shrimp bowl ($14). The worker was helpful and said that a lot of people aren't a fan of the default sauce since it's fishy. Pretty good. The amount of shrimp was decent. The portion is decent and could've been two meals but made it one. Also tried the chicken tostada bowl ($12) and I liked it. The focaccia bread was ok but I'm not a huge bread of fan myself. The different sauces are the highlight. I can't remember which ones I tried, but one had a lime base. In terms of the price point, it's definitely more $$ for a 'healthier' offering compared to a Chipotle. Not a frequent stop for me but I understand why people like it. Y'all.... I had the grossest experience with a Sweetgreen ever. It was just nasty. I first discovered Sweet Greens while ordering it in DC. So when I came down to Texas for a bit it became my go to when I wanted to purchase a salad. There's one in Uptown, near my barber and I'd pop over and grab one for me and my mom. So today, I got out of the gym and decided to go pick one up at this, location that is never been to. First of all--they were scraping the bottom of the barrel for brussel sprouts. I told them--yo, I can wait for more sprouts, bc I noticed the most paltry portion of burnt leaves being put in my mom's bowl. The (really sweet and lovely gal) putting together my salad was like--oh I can put more. I sorta side eyed it and was like...ok. Sure enough I got to my car and I popped open the bowls....y'all...congealed, overcooked EVERYTHING. LOOK AT THE PHOTO. Even the photo makes you wanna gag. I immediately popped over to CAVA to get better quality food, and when I got home, I took out the meat from my Sweet Green's salad and threw it away, bc it was bone dry and so gross... And the rest of everything was put into our compost--bc food waste isn't my jam...so at least it serves a purpose...being turned into fertilizer. Lordt. Oh! And everything was chopped so tiny...like I have never seen a Sweetgreen methodology like this for its product. It was beyond disgusting y'all, both in flavor, preparation and presentation. I have never had a nastier food experience....ever. so gross. Maybe try the other locations, bc at 3:30pm on a Sunday....for an entire staff to be ok with the condition of this food and not fix it....is just bad training and terrible standards. This is my first experience at sweet green and i was thoroughly pleased. It is in a great location in addison and very easy to get to. They have a menu that is a virtual screen and the team members working there are very helpful and knowledgeable. They gave a great recommendations on some of their favorite bowls and salads. I opted for the create your own and was pleased with the amount of food they gave me as i chose my ingredients. What was cool was that most of the other veggies were pre-seasoned. Which I enjoyed. I as able to get two separate dressings.. cilantro lime jalapeño vinaigrette and a balsamic vinaigrette. Let me start be saying I've been a big fan of sweet greens, since I lived in LA for several years. I was so glad they came to DFW, but this location does not do the brand any service. I've ordered pickup three times from here, and every time something has been off with my order. My go-to is the Guacamole Greens. Last time the avocado was so hard (not ripe) that it was super tough to eat. This time, they completely left out the avocado!!!
