Idk, the customer service is always hit or miss at this location. Sometimes you get someone who enjoys working and sometimes you don't. Sometimes you get people that skimp on things like the rice and sometimes you don't. I tried the strawberry salmon salad or whatever it's called. It's the new menu item. The dressing was really Tart but everything else that was on the salad had really great flavor. The restaurant was pretty empty because it was midday, but it was clean. It was a bad apple in the bunch. However, he didn't spoil the full experience. The rest of the crew was welcoming and attentive. He had a disdain and disengaged attitude due to customers asking for toppings that were not on the line prep. Many ingredients were missing or limited, so customers had to wait on ingredients in the process of completing their orders. The prep line delayed a lot of orders and a swift transaction with online and In person orders. If anyone wants to dine in, it was difficult to sit due to the cleanliness. What? How am I just discovering that I love it here! I recently embarked on a temporary elimination diet and Cava has been a big help in finding new delicious foods I like and keeping me grounded during this diet. The rice is good, though sometimes it can get too chewy if you have too much dip and not enough larger solid toppings. At the end of the day, the lentils are occasionally undercooked. I get the grilled chicken, which has a good flavor. Their fiery broccoli is not that spicy to me and I like the corn and olives. The hummus and, surprisingly, the eggplant dip is really good. You never wanna see a messy food area as they're making your food and this was perfectly clean. I tried the spicy chicken avocado pita, and it was delicious. The sauce was pretty spicy, but too good to pass up. So I typically love this place and often frequent the location on Preston so today I thought I'd try the beltline location since I was in the area and I couldn't have been more disappointed. The staff seemed as if they didn't even want to be there. The young man that helped me didn't even know what went on what and had to refer to the note card several times and still didn't get it right and he could've cared less. The steak in my pita was stringy and dry and overwhelmed with sauce. I was really looking forward to this today and it truly let me down. I love Cava, but this Cava location is sometimes hit or miss on service. Someone here once scooped some toppings that fell on the metal counter and put them into my bowl. I was so disgusted but was so ready to leave that I didn't comment and just prayed over my meal that it wouldn't kill me. I'm here writing this review, so prayer really does work. Won't He do it! Other times I've been here, the staff has forgotten to put my pita slice in the bag, which I had to ask for in the first place. I always get the same thing when I come, the green and grain bowl with braised lamb, tziaiki, roasted red pepper hummus, crazy feta, and yogurt dill. I first started going to Cava in Charlotte, NC and I fell in love with it there. At every location in NC, they offer mint as a topping, and it truly adds more flavor to the cuisine. When I moved to Dallas, while excited to see that Cava was here, I was mortified to find that NONE of the locations in Dallas offer mint. NONE. What a shame?! Cava is hands down my favorite fast-food spot this year--I've been eating there 2 or 3 times a week! The freshness of their food is unbeatable, and the best part is creating your own bowl exactly how you like it. They offer a range of lettuce, carb, protein, veg, and sauces/hummus choices. The red hummus and tahini Caesar are must-tries. It's great for most diets. The service there seems hit or miss with bowls quality depending on who's making your bowl and sometimes being told it'll be extra for you to have enough rice or greens to make a complete bowl. Some employees are fair though. And let's talk about the pita chips--do not, I repeat, do not leave without trying them! They complete the whole meal and are absolutely delicious. I'm so hooked that I'd love to get my hands on the recipe; although i prob shouldn't because id eat them daily. I would definitely say when it comes to flavor cava exceeds those expectations compared to chipotle! I would also say customer service is the biggest part in considering a rating for a review. With that being said this specific location should definitely work on their customer service. No customer should ever feel like they're bothering you because it is your job to put as much food as the customer requests especially if they are paying. I definitely recommend everyone to try cava but if you want a complete 5 star experience do not go to this location. Honestly if it wasn't for the deliciously seasoned and fresh pita chips, Harissa chicken, lamb, Harissa salsa and corn I'd probably just go to chipotle since their rice is better, their customer service is always a 10 and they're exceptionally cheaper! First time having CAVA and I've heard good things. The "Mediterranean Chipotle". I was surprised to see there was a steady flow of people on a weeknight. I figure this would be more of a popular lunch option and less so dinner. You can choose a preset bowl / pita, build your own bowl, build your own pita. A base bowl is $10.10 and comes with select meats that are included in the price (like chicken, veggies, falafel), 2 sauces, unlimited toppings (some are additional like avocado), and dressing. I did the build your own bowl with salad mix and grains. There's a wall of salad greens that you can choose from. Chose the Supergreens and brown rice. The Supergreens has sliced Brussels sprouts which you don't see often in a greens mix. Added braised lamb +$2.10. Got the tzatziki and harissa sauce (a bit spicy). Picked a bunch of toppings. They have small pita chips as toppings. Tahini dressing but really didn't need it with the bowl since the two sauces provided another flavor. $12 for a bowl not too bad but seems higher than a Chipotle. Thought it'd be big enough to split into 2 portions. I calculated later the calories of my bowl and it was close to 1,000! Super shocked. The braised lamb is the fattier protein option. They have a nice outdoor seating area during warmer weather. Inside didn't feel like a lot of seating. Not good for large groups since you can't put the tables together.
