If you are like me and love a great salad, continue reading. If you are not a fan of a great salad, continue reading anyway; perhaps this review will convince you to checkout Snappy Salad. As many places do today, Snappy Salad uses a model where you can build your own salad. If that's too much work for you, they have some delicious menu salads which make the process a little easier. That said, you still must decide if you want a "half snap" or a "full snap" (think small salad or large salad). In the case of the 'build your own salad', both sizes are limited to a specific number of items (i.e. veggies, cheese, nuts, etc.). Also, protein (chicken, beef and seafood) is available for an extra charge. I tend to stick with their menu salads with my favorites being the "Grilled Avocado" and the " Texas Taco". My protein of choice for the "Grilled Avocado" tends to always be their mesquite grilled chicken meanwhile, the "Texas Taco" comes with a very tasty ground beef. As for this location, it continues to be my #1 stop for healthy nutrition, usually after finishing up a cycling class nearby. It is conveniently located as it is literally across the street from the cycling studio. That said, when I arrive, it is usually within 30 minutes of closing, but I cannot tell it by the staff. They are always energetic and greet me as if I am the first customer of the day. All the items are well stocked and very fresh. I place my order and within what seems like a few minutes (the grilled items - avocado, tomato and chicken are prepared when the order is placed) my salad is ready. If you are in the area, I highly recommend checking out this location. If this location is not convenient, find the nearest Snappy Salads and order the "Grilled Avocado Salad" or the "Texas Taco"; you can thank me later. read more

WHAT. IN. THE. WORLD. HAPPENED. TO. THIS. PLACE???????? I have been going to Snappy salads very regularly since they opened. Yesterday, I went to the park cities location, I typically go to Plano. They discontinued half my salad ingredients!! No more sunflower seeds so I asked what nuts they had I was told pecan or almond. Told her to add pecans but then they were caramelized pecans, not regular, which she did not specify. I got a salad with sesame ginger dressing. The sweetness was so off and ruined my entire salad. Very disappointing. I don't know if these vast changes are across the board with Snappy Salads. I will try the Plano location to make sure but I assure you I will no longer visit this particular location. If the other one is the same, they've lost a longtime customer that comes often. Bring back the old items! The new bowls are better though. read more

This was a very pleasant surprise. I wasn't previously familiar with Snappy Salads and found them on a Google search. I was impressed with all of the included choices of lettuces, vegetables, nuts and salad dressings. Instead of the restaurant choosing what would be on our salads, for once we were in the driver's seat. I placed our order at 8:10 pm for an 8:45 pm pickup. I arrived early and the salads were already ready. In other words, the staff was very efficient. Our salads looked and tasted great and had generous sized salad dressing containers. The ranch dressing was excellent. Customers can also order extra dressings for a minor charge. Both my sister and I loved our salads and highly recommend this place. Cool place in a very quiet shopping center. Looking for something fresh and light after eating so much meat while our visit to Dallas, we decided to hit this salad restaurant and give it a try. The restaurant itself is inviting and it looks clean. Fresh produce is visible through their glass covered bar area and lots of toppings options. Either pick from their salad creations or make your own... up to you. Great prices and big portions. Not five stars because the outside tables were dirty. A great lunch spot with endless combinations for wraps/salads. I usually am not a wrap kind of girly but this shrimp wrap is now my roman empire. It was so juicy and delicious. I wanted a good salad for lunch and found Snappy Salads on Yelp. This was my very first visit to this establishment so I wasn't quite familiar with the menu. The energy seemed a bit lackluster but I wanted my salad so... As I walked up to view the menu, the young lady behind the counter greeted me. That's always a plus. I wanted something basic so I ordered a Greek salad and chose to add avocado to it. Again, I wasn't familiar with this brand, so I didn't know how my food would come out. The salad seemed a bit small and it was just okay. I wanted avocado but I could've excluded it on this salad. It didn't seem to quite taste like a great combination. Oh well... I've been coming here since it opened over 10 years ago and it was my family's favorite salad place for years. I moved back to Dallas 2 years ago and it's gone down hill significantly. The lettuce (all 4 types they offer) never looks fresh and always looks wilted. The last couple times I've gotten a salad, the lettuce is soggy 2 minutes after they put the dressing on it. I've ordered delivery from here a few times, and I decided to stop in today. For delivery, I've gotten the cauliflower rice and chicken. It's very veggie-forward. I wish there was an option to add more chicken via the app because I feel like it needs more for balance. Today, I created a full salad and it's big (includes 12 "on ice" ingredients. There were a good amount of items that you can add. I especially like the quinoa and roasted red peppers because I hadn't seen those at other build-your-own-salad bars. Also, they have arugula! But no kale. It's not a big deal for me for FYI if you're really wanting kale. For dressing, I'm digging the sesame ginger. As for the protein, I needed the full portion for my salad (~$5). The half portion was not enough. In the end, my large salad came out to approx $17. This is my favorite place. However, came for a late lunch 2:30p on Friday. Hubby and I were together. We were not greeted with a smile or even acknowledged. The woman stood in front of us with her prongs ready. My hubby ordered the Chicken BBQ Ranch and I ordered my usual Buffalo chicken. We ordered to go. When we got home, and started eating, hubs said, "Is your salad swimming in dressing?" Yep mine was too it was the worst salads ever. Remember to always ask for the dressing on the side. Nov 11,2023 was my first time trying Snappy Salad. I am a salad eater. I bought the grill avocado salad and it was soggy. The tomatoes was soft, the avocado was smush,. I bit into some gravel or something that was in the salad I thought my tooth broke, after that I trashed it. I wasted $11.00 on something that probably sat on showcase or in the fridge all day. I have never given a review but after this salad. if I didn't stay so far from the place I would have returned the salad for a refund. i would never serve my customers old food it is unacceptable highly disappointed. read more

My dad and I decided to give this place a try as we were looking for something light after church. I had the warm Thai salad and he chose the build your own salad with eight options combo. My salad had wild rice, grilled chicken, cabbage, green onions, shaved carrots, curry sauce, cilantro and was very delicious. I finished the entire bowl and the curry sauce was actually a really good touch as that is not something I would expect in a salad. I finished my entire bowl and I felt very content. My dad's salad consisted of iceberg lettuce, jalapeños, banana peppers, grilled chicken, bacon, tomatoes, cucumbers and a couple of other items I can't remember. He topped it off with a balsamic vinaigrette. Surprisingly his salad was extremely enormous and he couldn't finish it all but did thoroughly enjoy it. Our total came out to about 20 bucks which isn't so bad considering the amount of salad you are given. I love this place so much for many great reasons. Delicious and made with fresh ingredients. It's become my go to lunch place however it's always busy during lunch time so be careful if you are on a short break. But I don't blame the full house because this place is amazing! The line does move fairly quickly. You can also order online ahead of time if you do not want to wait in line. They have all their ingredients laid out so you can customize your salad any way you like if you do not want to order a salad of their menu. I don't think you can go wrong with any salad here. My personal favorite is the Texas Taco - Iceberg, tomato, onion, cheddar, Jalapeño Ranch, tortilla strips, spicy taco meat (served hot) with avocado cream. I usually add corn and jalapeños(extra) so I usually pay 13-14 dollars for half a salad which is very filling and i don't mind the price but some might consider it overpriced for a salad. They also promote sustainability by using renewable resources for cups and straws which is great. They have communal tables with benches which can be a good opportunity to meet and interact with others. There's also outdoors seating available. I am addicted to this place and it's unhealthy(for my wallet) how often I eat here. read more

Look Snappy, I hate to have to do this, but lately you have really been letting me down. You take too long, my last three to-go orders have been either missing an additional ingredient I've paid for, or made incorrectly with dressing I really wanted to have on the side so my salad wouldn't be soggy when I got back to the office. I even give you advance notice by ordering online, yet you can't seem to follow directions. And today when you forgot to put chicken on my $18 crispy artichoke salad and I had to turn around and come back, it made things very clear to me. I no longer have the patience or time to keep giving you second and third chances to get it right. These issues seem to be due to the busyness of your location and your teammates just can't keep up. The line is out the door, there is no designated to-go order person, so I am usually neglected off to the side and unacknowledged for several minutes. Not to mention, when I call, you sometimes never answer. You originally attracted me with your fast casual concept that I can get in and out and lately you haven't been quick at all. Unfortunately today was the last straw and I've decided to let you go until you can get things together. I hope you take my constructive criticism with the good will in which it was intended. I'm not sure if I've been to a Snappy Salad location that wasn't the one in Southlake. It's been a few years since I've stepped into a Snappy Salad, since I don't work next to one anymore. On the way back from my doctor's appointment, I decided to stop here for my lunch, since I know they have an amazing yellowfin tuna salad. When I came in, there were maybe 4 people in front of me. The dining room was about 1/3 full, so not that many people. I placed my yellowfin tuna order. The girl at the salad bar asked me whether it was to go or for dine in. When I told her it was go-go, she picked up a small plastic container. Now, I thought there are two sizes for the salads. I know it's been a while, but I'm pretty sure that you can have a full or a half size on your salad order. Are they, by default, assuming you want a half salad order? Or did the company go down to one order size only? The young girl was nice, but not overwhelmingly warm with her service. Luckily, I'm not too picky so this didn't bother me. The older woman behind me, though, wanted a few extra toppings. It's not like the girl servicing her was rude about it, but she didn't take that extra moment to give her good service. The manager was at the cashier and he did a good job up-selling and making small conversation. Overall, the customer service experience was average. I waited about 2 minutes before my order was ready. To start off, I thought the salad wasn't as visually appealing as it used to be. As previously noted, it's been a while but last time I was here, the salads looked really good- the tuna was together on one side, a group of wasabi peas were collected in the corner, a serving of fried wontons were placed in one side of the bowl, and the avocado half was fanned across the bed of lettuce. This time, the avocado took up most of the space and the tuna had called towards the bottom of the container, and the wasabi and wontons were already mixed with the salad greens. The flavor of the salad was pretty average too. The water chestnuts were probably a little old. There was a slimy, sour texture with those. The tuna, I thought, was over cooked. And the wontons were soggy, due to them having been incorporated with the salad mix. Overall, this place was a solid 5/10. read more

Snappy Salads is awesome! It's a locally-owned salad restaurant that gives you the build-your-own option, as well as a long list of their specialty salads. Their menu ranges from Greek to Mexican to Asian as well as the other classics like Caesar or Cobb and so many more! My personal favorite is the Southwest salad (lettuce, corn, black beans, tomato, pepper jack cheese, southwest dressing) with avocado and turkey. Sometimes I get on kicks where I've got to have it every day for two weeks! Another great quality about Snappy Salads is the freshness. It's several steps above your pre-made drive-thru restaurant salads and beyond what you can expect from Souper Salads. It's like no other semi-fast-food place I've ever been to. read more

I am OBSESSED with Snappy Salads grilled avocado salad to the point that I will drive 8 miles north on the tollway from Oak Lawn to pick it up and I'm SO NOT what you'd call a "salad person." I have never had a salad fill me up the way these do...and I eat there a lot. The employees there are some of the nicest and most accomadating people I've ever met.
