Love this location and it's conveniently near me. As with all the locations you get a variety of different salad bases, vegetables, fruits, nuts, boiled eggs, or bacon along with selected proteins like chicken, shrimp, or salmon or falafel and about 8 or more sad dressing options. Tried Salata for the 1st time today since I was craving a salad. I fell in love with all the different options to create your own salad. Everything looked so clean and fresh. The croutons are very buttery and good. The staff were very helpful and nice. I got the small salad with grilled chicken and gatorade for $18.95. I will definitely be back. read more

I visited this location yesterday for the first time and was disappointed. The price for the serving size you get, assuming you want protein, is very high. I appreciated the unlimited toppings and variety to choose from, but nothing about the small vegetarian salad I ordered was worth the $17 I paid for it. The woman working the counter was very nice and let me taste the dressings and provided good service. The restaurant is clean and tidy, but not some place I'd think to sit and eat lunch with a friend. read more

First time at the uptown location and I like the overall placement of where it's at in this community. It's a one way street which confused me at first while trying to find parking, but There is a parking garage nearby if street parking is unavailable. The overall restaurant is smaller in comparison to the Addison location , and a lot narrower. However, customer service was pretty good and I didn't feel like I was rushed when placing my order during the peak hours of lunch. The salad was very fresh and I have no complaints there. This location is one of the worst restaurants I have tried to order food for delivery from. After multiple attempts to call, the phone keeps going to voicemail with a full voicemail. Upon talking to the DoorDash driver, the restaurant told him "all the items were included". Working in a hospital, it is hard to leave the unit to pick up food so we resort to delivery from various places. Tried to call corporate to make a complaint and still waiting for a call back. DoorDash corporate was extremely kind over the phone but bc the order was made thru Salata directly, they cannot help with a refund :( read more

Review is for delivery only. I started frequenting Salata around 14 years ago when the Preston Center location first opened. Loved it then, and still love all the other locations I've tried today. Beautiful vegetarian ingredients, succulent dressings, and delightful protein choices. I find the small salad more than enough for a lunch portion. The jalapeño avocado dressing has a very satisfying spicy kick, and the salmon is perfectly cooked every time. Not sure what the in-person dining is like, but plan to keep it to delivery only for the duration of the pandemic. So far, so good! read more

You build your own salad and unlike Snappy Salads or other competitors, Salata allows you to choose as many toppings as you like. And they have an abundance of them! Their dressings are great and their food is fresh. Sometimes the servers seem to have the smallest hands and only are able to grab a few veggies, but you can ask for another portion. The interior is nothing nice, but its generally clean (although they could bus the tables more often or provide a space for customers to bus their bowls) and non-offensive to the senses. Only complaint is that they close a bit early on Sundays (8:00 pm) but other than that, best fast food salad in town! read more

Review has to do with service** The lady serving us was incredibly rude. First she was stingy with the salad toppings, like can I please have more than three tiny pieces of chopped tomatoes? Secondly she didn't hear me correctly when I asked for bacon on the side and proceeded to put bacon in the salad. Mind you I was sharing with my vegetarian sister. After my sis informed the employee that we needed the bacon on the side, the employee starts to pick out small pieces of chopped bacon from the salad. Excuse me?? In what world is that even remotely appropriate?? Clearly no respect for a customer's dietary needs (also the fact that she half-assed an effort to get minuscule pieces of bacon out of a large salad). After the initial shock, we gathered ourselves after witnessing her phony attempt to "fix" our order. We finally told her that it wasn't appropriate to serve a salad where meat touched it to a vegetarian. Then she switched up with the quickness and served us a whole lotta attitude instead. Wow. She even made a comment that now she had to make a new salad because *we* apparently didn't tell her to put bacon on the side. So not only couldn't she own up to her mistake, she had to bang the pots and tongs around to show attitude. To. Her. Customers... Salata, this is a classic example of how NOT to treat your customers. Do not waste your time here. I ordered pick up from DoorDash and waited over 30 minutes without being spoken to by an employee. I waited in the same area as everyone else next to two crackheads who smelled so disgusting. I almost left on several occasions, but decided to be patient with the employees as a courtesy. After waiting an ungodly amount of time, the employee told me she did not have a receipt for my DoorDash order that I placed now 45 minutes prior. I showed her the DoorDash app as well as text confirmations and email confirmations. She insisted she would not make my order because she supposedly didn't have a receipt. Even though I had already been charged, and again, had the confirmations. After I left, clearly upset about being lied to, she chased me out of the store with my receipt and told me she had magically printed it with all of my DoorDash details and that she could start the order then. Despite still being hungry, I told her she had already wasted of my time and I didn't want the order now. She was extremely rude and said "suit yourself." I love the large portion sizes - one regular salad was perfect size lunch for both me and my husband. Menu is fairly simple - regular or small salad or wrap. And pick as many toppings as you like. Extra cost for meat, tofu, and avocado. I do have to say that the same simplicity that makes it easy to order is also holding me back from giving this place 5 stars. There's nothing that wows you - no unique flavors, dressings, or options. And it's a bit on the pricier side especially if you add protein, despite the large portion size. I go to this location almost everyday for lunch. The staff are all nice and friendly except for the only white male wearing a different uniform who I assume could be the manager or the owner. He's not always there but when he is, he's normally working at the cashier. He's very rude and unfriendly. This normally does not bother me but today, when I got my food, he literally threw my order at me after he bagged it then proceeded with "fixing" the receipts.
