First timer and I loved it!! I got the kids meal to test it out and it was a good portion if you're not starving. Everything was fresh and flavorful. The kids meal comes with a drink so I opted to try their tangerine aleppo which they let me try prior and it was really yummy! Went with a friend during a busy time and all the workers were still very kind and helpful. The portion of the food is a lot and the taste was great. All the ingredients were fresh and I was really satiated after. The flavors were also there and while this is the CAVA in the mall I felt that the experience was just as great as their other stand off locations. Since this is a food court I would say it is busy and there aren't specific table seatings for CAVA, but the mall itself has great lighting and ample enough dining seats available. Might be a little loud if you're there during peak time. Highly recommend if you want to stay healthy while at a mall that won't break your bank! read more

Today is National Pita Day, so I am posting my review today! To celebrate, if you are or become a member of their CAVA Rewards program, you get free Pita Chips on them! CAVA is a mixed bag for me. I have been several times, and sometimes it's been OK, sometimes not ok, and never great. This visit was right down the middle as well. This being the North Park Center store, the ambiance is pretty much food court, though I would describe it further as upscale food court. The service is not anything I would complain about at any of the CAVA locations I have visited. This one was no exception. The staff, though busy, was friendly, upbeat, and energetic. They kept the line moving so it kind of shielded you from the fact they were so busy. I ordered the Steak + Harissa Bowl. It is pretty decent. It has Steak, Feta, Red Pepper Hummus, Tomato, Cucumber Onion, Brown Eice and a Vinaigrette. So far it has been my favorite thing I have tried here. read more

Went to NorthPark Mall and chose this place because I've heard some good things. Kind of like chipotle but more expensive, is what I heard. I went for it and should have not! This is a chipoltle style build your own meal spot. It has table seating but is very casual with only counter service. If you have dietary restrictions this is a good spot for you as you can design your own bowl. They also have a menu with a good variety of combinations to choose from. I would say that it leans Mediterranean with hummus, pita, falafel, and lots of fresh veggies and meats that you can see through the glass and pick from. The food is healthy and quick. It is my go to spot for "faster food". There are some pretty yummy non alcoholic drink choices that taste sugary delicious. read more

We lucked into a good time to come here. I was walking around the mall after a busy work day, and Eric R. showed up and decided we should eat at Cava. He had heard about it because it recently became a public company, but we had never tried it before. We were the only people in line at the mall food court with under an hour before closing time, so the staff was very friendly and patient. She explained how we could make our own bowl and still get pita on the side. She let us taste the dips, proteins we were interested in, and dressings. It was like going to an ice cream shop! Eric R. ordered a bowl with half saffron rice and half splendidgreens, with braised lamb, harissa, feta dip, roasted red pepper hummus, pretty much all toppings except pickles, and the schug and garlic dressings. I got a bowl with half saffron rice and half lentils, with lamb meatballs, harissa, feta dip, eggplant dip, various toppings (red cabbage, pickled onions, tomatoes, cucumbers, kalamata olives, feta) with lemon tahini herb dressing and schug. It really was so tasty that we saved half of our bowls for lunch tomorrow. We were totally satisfied and really appreciated the great service. I went back to get a to go bag to carry our bowls to the car and they happily obliged. I could definitely return to try other things here. The service was very disappointing. Despite there being no line, we waited over five minutes just to place our order. The food portions were extremely small honestly, even Chipotle serves more and YES I WILL EAT THERE FROM NOW ON. When I asked for pico de gallo, I was given less than half a spoon. The employee helping us looked completely unmotivated from start to finish, which made the experience even worse. At checkout, our order wasn't bagged, nor were forks offered. On top of that, the overall ambiance was unpleasant; several staff members stood around watching and taking pictures of themselves instead of assisting customers. CAVA has created a delicious, convenient,priced right, option to the usual fast food suspects. Think Chipotle with a Middle Eastern focus. Hummus,lamb,lentils..etc. it's all there and waiting for you. The drill is,get in line and either start building your own bowl by telling the counter person what you want or,order a predetermined entre. I went with building my own as,the lady in front of me was being instructed, making it easy for me to follow. My bowl started with pita,spinach,black lentils, falafel..etc etc until I had an outrageous bowl. I added lavender lemonade and it was lunch. Easy and I must say DELICIOUS! It was my first time at Cava and Ashley and Joanne were so sweet and helpful! They were quick with service and made amazing recommendations. I had a bowl with half rice and half super greens as I'm trying to watch my carbs. The rice was delicious and the greens very fresh. I got the grilled chicken/ half harissa honey chicken (a little extra but worth it). The flavors were amazing. You her to pick 3 dips, unlimited toppings, and two dressings. Horrible attitude, he put the wrong topping on my food and then when I told him he got an attitude and didn't bother removing the incorrect topping, which I may have been allergic to. Then I asked for pita crisp and he just ignored that I guess and asked what dressing I wanted. He's definitely ruins the energy of that place. Chicken pita wrapped with taziki and hummus. The hot honey chicken was beyond spicy so I regretted that but otherwise it wasn't bad. It was my first time so I didn't order correctly but it was a very busy afternoon so I didn't want to ask too many questions and keep the line held up. They offer craft sodas which is cute but I wish they had a bottle coke or something else as an option. The full meal pictured was $17 so if you're going to check it out, make sure to ask more questions and for the teammates recommendations. Next time I'll probably get a bowl and pita chips based on everyone else's order in line. Still good but pricey!!! read more

This place is great. Located right at the entrance of the mall food court, it's not hard to find. The staff here are always so welcoming and I love their care to their customers. I always try out new items during my visit, and I do not have any complaints. I love their jasmine rice with greens base and their toppings too. I always feel good after eating cava because of their freshness in ingredients. The line can build up at times as their food serving process can be a little time consuming. read more

I love Cava's food. Straight up - it's great food. That said, they need to do better training and/or provide a list of ingredients to the servers at this store. Knowing I'm allergic to sesame, there are certain things I avoid by default. No hummus, no falafel, etc. I made sure to tell them I was allergic to sesame before ordering my BYOB. When I asked about a couple of things having sesame, they had no idea, and apparently no way to check. At the end of my order, I asked to upcharge to add some pita chips. When I got to the table to eat, I pulled out one of the pita chips to notice it had sesame baked into the pita. Sesame is a common-enough allergy that the FDA has required it be listed on ingredients. It's common-enough that some of THR bottles in the dressing bin are labeled. This should not be difficult. read more

I don't usually write a review for grab and go food, but this is delicious! I had the spicy lamb meatball and spicy chicken. You can actually taste lamb from the meatball, unlike some other places where lamb taste like chicken. There are lots of options to choose, from the base, dip, to protein, sauce and toppings. There is also complimentary pita if you choose bowl. I hope there is one in my city. read more

I honestly have to give cava one star. It is normally a decent restaurant for like someone who mildly has stomach issues. However today I walk in with two friends their bowls are filled to the brim, packed all the way. When I get mine, maybe a quarter I watch them skimp on the brave Lamb, which literally cost an extra $3.50 I dont understand how they get away with this. It's highway robbery. This however, is not the first occurrence of this. This is at least the second maybe the third of them skimping un said braised lamb. The three women of Latina origin behind the counter, appeared to be laughing at me when I complained about their skimping. as minority, I feel threatened by this if you were any person of color or all of any communities, I would honestly recommend completely skipping over cava. I have never been so disappointed in my life. and by the way, they forgot my second bag of pita chips. read more

Was very excited to try this for the first time, but sadly probably won't be coming back. My experience was pretty awful. I had never been before, and was confused as to which rice was which, when I asked the guy, he just stared at me, so I tried to point to the one I wanted, and the tip my finger accidentally went barley over the glass. Which I apologized for, but the guy proceeded to yell "don't put your finger over the glass." And when I tried to explain that I was an accident. He got an attitude with me again. The rest of the workers preparing the bowl gave me literally the smallest portions possible. It looked like a kids meal from chipotle. And the total was over 17 dollars. Food was good.
