I, on the other hand have tried the fried chicken jack sandwich, the monthly special (which was the lemon chicken salad - which was delicious), and the Italian. All of them were great. The Connecticut lobster roll was amazing. The potato roll the lobster is served with was so soft. My only critique is filling up the roll with more lobster as I felt I was eating a lot of bread than the lobster meat. The fries were incredibly salty and made it unbearable to finish. But it was perfectly thin and fried to perfection. It was a great side dish served with the roll. The cucumber watermelon drink was very sweet but also refreshing. This is a sandwich shop conveniently located in Snider Plaza. I am a big fan of lobster rolls so I had to give this shop a try. I ordered the Connecticut lobster roll, and my spouse opted for the Italian sandwich. We both really enjoyed our meals. My hubby can't resist homemade potato chips, and these were excellent. When our son was attending SMU, this restaurant was a popular choice for lunch when visiting. My wife and I were recently in the area and I can say that now, some 10 years later, nothing has changed. The restaurant is bright and airy, creating an enjoyable environment. In rush times, it can be crowded, so be warned on that. A fast casual restaurant, you order at the counter and food is delivered. On this visit we had the Honey Grilled Chicken, which was excellent. But I can say I have never had a bad sandwich there and am also particularly fond of the Country Club Wrap, the Spring Vegie Wrap and the Turkey Bacon AVO. On this visit we also had the house made chips and the potato salad. Both good. In addition, they had a new item from any other visits we have had, a soup of the day. Today was New England Clam Chowder. It was okay, but quite frankly not much better than a high-end grocery store soup. My father and I came here for lunch on a Saturday. We had clearly missed the rush based on all the dirty tables with trays and food left on them. There was enough staff so I am not sure why someone wasn't clearing off the dirty tables. We tried 3 different breakfast sandwiches: The Hash BEC (bacon, egg. I went with the Connecticut roll because I prefer my rolls and lobster served hot when ever possible. I will usually only order a lobster roll every once in a while as a treat (due to cost). And boy was I happy that I decided to treat myself today. This was the best lobster roll I've had outside of New England. The roll was packed tightly with lobster, so much so that almost every bite caused some lobster fall off, but not leaving the rest of the roll vacant. So hats off to you for doing it right East Hampton. As for the baked potato salad, I can't say that I'd order it again. It was solid at best, and essentially just served as a "filler" for me. My husband and I went to lunch today at the East Hampton Sandwich in Snider Plaza. We ordered 2 Caesar Salads without chicken. The salads arrived. They were far from any Caesar salad I have ever ordered. They were made of mixed greens with cherry tomatoes and some grated Parmesan cheese. No Romain lettuce, no croutons, the salad dressing wasn't a Caesar Salad dressing. When the waitress came to the table, she asked if everything was alright, I told her that "this is not a Caesar salad". Then the manager came to the table and clearly was befuddled. So I said I would just eat it the way it was...he should have offered to replace it with something else in my opinion. This place is very good for sandwich. I enjoyed the California club with turkey, bacon, and avocado. The homemade chips with ranch dip are yummy too. It gets surprisingly busy at lunch-so go there early to find a table or get it to go. Service is great and staff is friendly and accommodating.
