When I came in this place was packed which I knew was a sign it must be good. I decided to build my own burger and I got the trio which consists of sweet potato fries, regular fries, and onion rings. I've been seeing this restaurant close to where I'm working, and I wanted to go in and try and I finally found time today. It's a cute little restaurant called the Village burger bar. It was cute from the outside with its little porch. And it was nice on the inside too. The men displayed above the bar, and you order and then the give you a number to take a seat and then your order is delivered to you if you decide to get it to go it comes in a little, but they're calling adults. Happy meal packaging. Which is a paper box with peaked roof like you see it so many restaurants. So I walked up and I ordered the crispy honey chicken sandwich, and I decided to add an order of double sweet potato frys and it's coated in cinnamon and drizzled honey. And then I got an unsweet tea. I filled my tea with the apricot Chardonnay tea flavor. And then had a seat at a nice table to await my food. They gave me a number on a pole so they could find me.. it came very quickly. And it was beautiful and tasted great too. I really enjoyed it and after eating some of the fries, I decided I really needed something dipped them in. They were a little dry and too much cinnamon on them, so they suggested to me the honey mustard would be good. And it was a good call. It really helps the fries which were tasty on their own. I came here for lunch a couple of times now, once meeting a group of 10 people. It's not a huge place but they can definitely accommodate a group that big. They have a lot of options for customizing your burger or you can order from the presets. In any case, between beef, chicken and turkey you're covered. Its self order and the staff is generally friendly. My meals have been pretty solid here both times. Nothing spectacular but it's good enough that i wouldn't mind coming back. read more

The 85 year old I had with me doesn't normally eat big meals so I ordered her the popcorn chicken. It was just ok and there was more than she would eat for a fair price. Staff was friendly, but the guy, taking my order at the register didn't know a lot of the answers to my questions. That doesn't really bother me, but don't tell me if you don't know. At least be honest and say I'm not sure. Or let me ask.I have a seed oil sensitivity so I asked if the chicken was already marinated or plain needing to be cooked. He told me plain and the guy at the other register corrected him. My salad was ok. Picked out a lot of the romaine core. I asked for the dressing on the side and they put it on the salad. The burger I felt lacked seasonings, which I should've just added a simple salt and pepper to it. The fries were really good though, they were truffle Parmesan fries, and they stood out more than the burger itself. To me the burger wasn't bad, not my favorite, but not hated at all. I would give it a shot as the burger was cooked on a char grill due to the flavor. I would recommend trying it and seeing how you feel. The burger patty was apparently a famous recipe but was not great. The village sauce, their in-house speciality sauce, and their various aiolis were not great. The food itself came pretty quickly.
