    Lemon Oregano Chicken Wrap
    Isa I.

My sister is vegetarian, so while we were looking for places to eat this spot popped up and we decided to give it a try. Unfortunately, we kind of regretted that decision with the first bite.. My sister ordered the Mediterranean wrap and I got the lemon chicken wrap. My wrap ended up being about 90% salad with only a few pieces of chicken, which was pretty disappointing. We also ordered the edamame dumplings and a table salad. The salad itself was actually nice, but the edamame dumplings were extremely plain!!! I love edamame and I love dumplings, so I was really excited to try this item but they ended up being very bland and the dumpling filling tasted chalky inside. Even chili oil couldn't save them Maybe I'm just used to more well-seasoned food, but with so many great options around Dallas, this place just didn't stand out for me. That said, the service was good and the ambiance was nice. Unfortunately the food just wasn't memorable enough for me to come back.

I have visited at least 3 True Food Kitchen's around the world and they are consistent with their product. I love their tofu and fresh ingredients! No fries, but you can have a kale salad! Lol. The service is upscale, however, you do not have to be dressed to impress to dine in. I will continue to seek this restaurant out while traveling the US. Ambiance is refreshing due to the open kitchen style and being able to watch your food be prepared.

Great service, great food - not much more you can ask for! I love that True Food kitchen values "true" and whole foods with minimal ingredients. Any restaurant that has our health in mind is A Okay with me! Had the sangria (A+) and mushroom pizza with almond ricotta. While the pizza wasn't super flavorful, it was good and the cholula added just the right amount of spice. Also, love the open kitchen concept in a restaurant! Shoutout to the bartender, Nya! She was super sweet! Overall, nice experience!

5 Stars for delicious and thoughtfully health conscious food selections! We had a great time trying several different items while visiting TFK for dinner. The sourdough pizza is absolutely worth getting and has a $3 discount for happy hour Mon-Fri. The chicken sandwich with house made pickles and sauce was a hit and the Korean Noodle Bowl with Shrimp was piping hot and unique. Our favorite was the Flourless Chocolate Cake, and had we not been so full, would have ordered one for each of us. The included cacao nibs provided texture variations and were a fantastic addition. Hopefully I'll be back to try TFK again soon.

Absolutely loved this spot in Dallas! I did the lunch social where you choose between an app or salad, a main course, and you get a warm chocolate chip cookie at the end. The food was all so fresh and delicious! The ambiance is nice although I will say parking was not easy during their lunch rush. Service was fast and friendly. I wish we had once of these in Orlando!

I tried True Food Kitchen with my family. The location was spacious, but a little chilly. We tried the ancient grain bowl, Chinese chicken salad, and a kids cheese pizza. My spouse liked the ancient grain bowl, but said he'd skip the add on protein next time. I like that protein was already included in my salad, but I wish it had something crunchy like wontons. My son absolutely loved the cheese pizza and he's particular about his pizzas! There was ample parking.

Had lunch with friend, nice menu very healthy choices. I tried the squash pizza so different and delicious crust. Service was great. Too noisy to talk.

I looked up "healthy food" in Dallas and True Food Kitchen did not disappoint. The interior is lovely with a lot of open space, nicely decorated. We sat outdoors as the weather was great, and it was also a really nice environment. The service is quick and friendly. The drip coffee is decent if you like dark roast. The lavender matcha latte is a perfectly balanced coffee alternative for brunch! The truffle edamame dumplings are a unique item that I definitely recommend. Savory but with subtle, earthy notes from the truffle, with a well balanced kick in the broth. The butternut squash soup is good too, except the lavender garnish is a bit of a shock to the palette. The Chinese chicken salad is filling, crunchy, fresh, and tangy - just delicious. You'll leave healthy, full, and delighted. Not feeling heavy or tired. Definitely recommend!

The night was nice so we were able to sit outside on the patio that was spacious and airy. The waiter was quick and attentive to our needs making for an efficient meal. We ordered the roasted Veg which was delicious, the edamame dumplings that were tasty but a little salty and the Kale salad that was good but a bit to sour for my taste over all a good experience!!

Good option for something fresh and healthier- especially if you track your food they have a comprehensive nutrition guide that fits a lot of nutritional goals. Pricey for what it is but plenty of options and decently tasty

Great environment, friendly staff and tasty food. Had the ancient grain bowl and a turkey burger. Both great and reasonable prices and portions.

My kale aid only Just over halfway full

As much as I love the food here and the dietary restricted options... I'm starting to get really fed up with this place. There have been several times over the last year I have gone in and they are "out" of staple items and therefore can't make the meal requested. What's even more irritating is the fact that I pay $10 for a kale aid juice and always request it without ice which is completely normal as Juice is not often served with ice. So what do they do? They choose not to fill the cup I paid for. They only fill it 60% of the way which is ridiculous considering the price. They have done this several times now. We work hard for our money and eating out as a luxury for many people. This is so absolutely disrespectful to people spending their hard earned money. Do better true food Kitchen!

The vegetarian buffet is relatively small, but nutritionally diverse and dense. Dishes today ranged from simple steamed broccoli and carrots to curried cauliflower and multiple legume dishes, to a salad bowl with a wide range of fresh colorful veggies. You will leave full and happy, I fully expect, if you try it too. The little restaurant is housed in a beautiful ornate temple, and has a lovely outdoor courtyard to dine in on pleasant days (I eat inside when it's hot or cold out.) Service is minimal, but attentive by buffet joint standards. Parking is a secure private lot and spaces are plentiful. The neighborhood is a bit sketchy, but you are fully separated from it if you park in the secure lot. For $15 at lunch, you will likely have your most nutritious meal of your (pick a time period), and get a free drink and desserts. Some items are available for upcharge, but I find them to be unnecessary. The vibe is temple casual and reminds me of hippy establishments I used to frequent in the 70s and 80s. I highly recommend you try it, if you love fresh vegan fare at a bargain price and want to check out the lovely temple and grounds while you're there.

Getting here was only slightly tricky, as it's not located in a strip mall or anything, but down a somewhat crummy street, in its own gated area, with a parking lot. The buffet was modest but diverse, with a fully vegetarian buffet where 90% of the options are also gluten-free. I really enjoyed the Sambhar soup, Kofta balls in tomato gravy, the spicy-pickled peppers, and the Chickpea curry. The outdoor dining area is just lovely, especially with good weather, and the temple grounds are very peaceful and enjoyable. Very reasonable price for such a relaxing and unique meal, and the staff were very friendly. My only complaint is that since we got there about an hour after lunch, some of the food had gotten a bit dry.

But, a few aspects of this place keep me from giving a strong rating. The vibe fits the south end of Bishop Arts, having a local hole in the wall quality. It was warm outside and the front is a large open wall, with no enclosed air conditioning. Air is moved with fans, which helped. But, it was quite humid inside and I would have appreciated more relief from the heat. There is an "order here" counter, but also QR codes on the tables that open a web page you can order from. It's weird to me to ask customers *in the store* to go through the hassle of entering credit card, phone number, billing address, etc. into a phone in order to get food brought to a table. I started this process and bailed on it cuz annoying, approaching the register at the counter instead. The staff member behind the counter said, "happy to take your order" and all was fine. Maybe this would be more convenient if I was a regular and there was a long line at the register. We ordered a 6 layer dip, side of Elote, and Birria tacos. The Elote was delicious. The dip was meh, having a top layer that was pureed and reminiscent of a baby food flavor I couldn't put my finger on. The chips provided were bland and obviously store bought, taking away from any impression of in-house freshness. The Birria takes were tasty, though served very hot. The sauce provided tasted like a Chamoy, rather than the red gravy I'm used to. If the dishes were more consistent, order process clearer, and air conditioning better controlled, I'd have scored higher.

We didn't get to go very often, once every two or three months, because they're about an hour and a half away from where we live, but we always made time when we were in Dallas to eat at D'Vegan. It's been several months since we ate there last and it was still excellent and our absolute favorite at that time. We thought it would be our last because we planned to move out of state but our plans were postponed. Now that we're again getting ready to leave Texas we made a point to go eat their pho before we left. What a huge, heartbreaking disappointment! It's hard to even describe how different the pho was from the lovely, huge, absolutely perfect dish it used to be. This disappointing (tiny) bowl had two types of noodles (one undercooked), in a practically tasteless vegan chicken broth, some sprouts and parsley (!). I had to ask for additional vegetables and they only offered broccoli and carrots. Gone were the lovely radishes, snap peas mushrooms and onions. Gone was the mint and lime. The broth tasted more like water than broth. But the worst, absolutely saddest, part were the two puny slices of tofu, and some kind of horrendous, slimy, pink soy protein that was tougher to eat than calamari, with a slightly disgusting mouthfeel. Good thing the bowl the soup was in was less than half the size of the previous incarnation. We had never had the crispy vegan eggroll before so we ordered that as an appetizer. Out of the kitchen comes the two saddest looking eggrolls I've ever seen. They could not have been more than an inch in diameter and maybe 3" long. They did a little better with the spring rolls in terms of portion size. What had been two large spring rolls full of tofu, mint, sprouts and veggies had turned into four 2" wraps with noodles and some parsley wrapped in the toughest rice wrap I've ever had the misadventure to eat. At least they couldn't mess up the jasmine tea. I can't explain how sad we were that our favorite, exalted, amazing D'Vegan had turned into whatever that was. Maybe the rice dishes would be better? I don't recommend anyone go to this place. Now we need to go to "Pho is for Lovers" on Greenville Avenue to get our pho fix before we leave Texas.

Never confuse vegan with healthy, the two are not mutually exclusive, so when you are eating nachos from here being in the saltiest most basic chips, do not be surprised. They are just the base to the monstrosity that is Vegan Vibrationz nachos. While there was definitely care in assembling the nachos, the flavors were just not great and the time it took to get the nachos was just ridiculous. Between the four of us we ordered the roti canai -- with an extra piece of roti, since the base only comes with two, roti murtabak, two orders of the pork belly baos, chili crisp cucumbers, nasi lemak, beef haw fun, and bò tái chanh -- Vietnamese rare beef salad. Overall, the food was outstanding. I feel like the restaurant took all the greatest hits from every Asian culture and put them together on the menu. My favorite dish of the night was a toss up between the rare beef salad, the roti, and the pork belly baos. I loved how crispy and flaky the roti was and the curry dipping sauce that it was paired with was super aromatic, nutty, and rich. The pork belly in the baos was incredibly tender, well-marinated, and had a nice balance between lean and fatty parts. If you enjoy sour dishes, you will love the rare beef salad: there is enough lime in the dish to make you pucker. Every bite is a concentrated punch of flavors, and there is a nice variety of texture between the chopped peanuts, thinly sliced onions, rare beef, and crispy rice cracker. If you're in this part of town looking for a dinner spot, I would not hesitate to recommend Hawkers Asian Street Food. In addition to the solid food menu, the service and drinks were equally spectacular.
