    Lemon Oregano Chicken Wrap
    Isa I.

My sister is vegetarian, so while we were looking for places to eat this spot popped up and we decided to give it a try. Unfortunately, we kind of regretted that decision with the first bite.. My sister ordered the Mediterranean wrap and I got the lemon chicken wrap. My wrap ended up being about 90% salad with only a few pieces of chicken, which was pretty disappointing. We also ordered the edamame dumplings and a table salad. The salad itself was actually nice, but the edamame dumplings were extremely plain!!! I love edamame and I love dumplings, so I was really excited to try this item but they ended up being very bland and the dumpling filling tasted chalky inside. Even chili oil couldn't save them Maybe I'm just used to more well-seasoned food, but with so many great options around Dallas, this place just didn't stand out for me. That said, the service was good and the ambiance was nice. Unfortunately the food just wasn't memorable enough for me to come back.

I have visited at least 3 True Food Kitchen's around the world and they are consistent with their product. I love their tofu and fresh ingredients! No fries, but you can have a kale salad! Lol. The service is upscale, however, you do not have to be dressed to impress to dine in. I will continue to seek this restaurant out while traveling the US. Ambiance is refreshing due to the open kitchen style and being able to watch your food be prepared.

Great service, great food - not much more you can ask for! I love that True Food kitchen values "true" and whole foods with minimal ingredients. Any restaurant that has our health in mind is A Okay with me! Had the sangria (A+) and mushroom pizza with almond ricotta. While the pizza wasn't super flavorful, it was good and the cholula added just the right amount of spice. Also, love the open kitchen concept in a restaurant! Shoutout to the bartender, Nya! She was super sweet! Overall, nice experience!

5 Stars for delicious and thoughtfully health conscious food selections! We had a great time trying several different items while visiting TFK for dinner. The sourdough pizza is absolutely worth getting and has a $3 discount for happy hour Mon-Fri. The chicken sandwich with house made pickles and sauce was a hit and the Korean Noodle Bowl with Shrimp was piping hot and unique. Our favorite was the Flourless Chocolate Cake, and had we not been so full, would have ordered one for each of us. The included cacao nibs provided texture variations and were a fantastic addition. Hopefully I'll be back to try TFK again soon.

Absolutely loved this spot in Dallas! I did the lunch social where you choose between an app or salad, a main course, and you get a warm chocolate chip cookie at the end. The food was all so fresh and delicious! The ambiance is nice although I will say parking was not easy during their lunch rush. Service was fast and friendly. I wish we had once of these in Orlando!

I tried True Food Kitchen with my family. The location was spacious, but a little chilly. We tried the ancient grain bowl, Chinese chicken salad, and a kids cheese pizza. My spouse liked the ancient grain bowl, but said he'd skip the add on protein next time. I like that protein was already included in my salad, but I wish it had something crunchy like wontons. My son absolutely loved the cheese pizza and he's particular about his pizzas! There was ample parking.

Had lunch with friend, nice menu very healthy choices. I tried the squash pizza so different and delicious crust. Service was great. Too noisy to talk.

I looked up "healthy food" in Dallas and True Food Kitchen did not disappoint. The interior is lovely with a lot of open space, nicely decorated. We sat outdoors as the weather was great, and it was also a really nice environment. The service is quick and friendly. The drip coffee is decent if you like dark roast. The lavender matcha latte is a perfectly balanced coffee alternative for brunch! The truffle edamame dumplings are a unique item that I definitely recommend. Savory but with subtle, earthy notes from the truffle, with a well balanced kick in the broth. The butternut squash soup is good too, except the lavender garnish is a bit of a shock to the palette. The Chinese chicken salad is filling, crunchy, fresh, and tangy - just delicious. You'll leave healthy, full, and delighted. Not feeling heavy or tired. Definitely recommend!

The night was nice so we were able to sit outside on the patio that was spacious and airy. The waiter was quick and attentive to our needs making for an efficient meal. We ordered the roasted Veg which was delicious, the edamame dumplings that were tasty but a little salty and the Kale salad that was good but a bit to sour for my taste over all a good experience!!

Good option for something fresh and healthier- especially if you track your food they have a comprehensive nutrition guide that fits a lot of nutritional goals. Pricey for what it is but plenty of options and decently tasty

Great environment, friendly staff and tasty food. Had the ancient grain bowl and a turkey burger. Both great and reasonable prices and portions.

My kale aid only Just over halfway full

As much as I love the food here and the dietary restricted options... I'm starting to get really fed up with this place. There have been several times over the last year I have gone in and they are "out" of staple items and therefore can't make the meal requested. What's even more irritating is the fact that I pay $10 for a kale aid juice and always request it without ice which is completely normal as Juice is not often served with ice. So what do they do? They choose not to fill the cup I paid for. They only fill it 60% of the way which is ridiculous considering the price. They have done this several times now. We work hard for our money and eating out as a luxury for many people. This is so absolutely disrespectful to people spending their hard earned money. Do better true food Kitchen!

Once arriving you are welcomed to complimentary bubbly while you wait to be sat. Service here was great for how busy it was. Here is what we ordered - **Starters** Korean Fried Cauliflower: I was the only one that ate this and omg it was really good, it satisfied my cauliflower craving lol 10/10 Truffle Parmesan Frites: these were outstanding 100/10! The freshly grated Parmesan on top was chef's kiss. Tuna and Avocado Roll: this was fresh and paired nicely with the sauce. 10/10 **Entrees** I got the Joey Classic Steak (on accident lol) but I'm not disappointed. The steak was cooked perfectly. The "crispy mashed potatoes" were unexpected lol. They were more like mashed potato eggrolls/flautas, but tasted fine. Id give this plate a solid 8/10. My cousin ordered the New York strip and she had just about the same notes on her dish. 8/10 My other cousin ordered the Steak Ravioli Blanco, she cleared her plate so I'm going to assume that she really liked it lol. 10/10 Lastly our waitress brought out a complimentary dessert since we were celebrating my cousin's bachelorette weekend, this was such a nice gesture, I think it was cheesecake and the flavor was delicious so 10/10

I ended up only ordering a drink and an appetizer because I was so disappointed I didn't want to go further. $23.75 Joey Martini - just a simple dry vodka martini w Kettle One. But the description lured me in with the promise of a fantastic martini with an "extra martini on the side". What I received was a half of a martini with the rest of my martini in a shaker next to it. The martini was fine but nothing special. Not the first time I've overplayed for a drink but I do feel a little funny about the way their menu sold me then undelivered. $19 Hummus - The food was an issue for me though. When I order Hummus, I expect to receive hummus. Like the dish should be 70-80% hummus with some light toppings and some good pita bread. What I received was a pretty plate but very little actual hummus and a disaster of pita. First, they made a pretty plate circle of a small band of hummus then filled it with extra stuff to make it APPPEAR as if the center was filled with hummus yet there was zero hummus except for that small outer band. I estimate 49% hummus and the rest tzatziki and garnishment. Don't get me wrong, very aesthetically pleasing and tasty "extras" but the menu item isn't titled "EXTRAS with a little hummus". It's titled "Hunmus". And the pita... oh boy, what a mess. Proper pita is lightly grilled - served warm with a nice sponginess yet bite friendly approach. This pita was way over saturated in their butter/oil, and crisped up to the point there were burn marks and char on every piece. Horrible pairing with hummus and JOEY should know it. I feel these other reviews may be fake honestly as the prices are insane and the execution quite poor. Be careful. $45 for a $15 meal isn't worth it. Go somewhere else - I'm including a pic of the "hummus" reveal so you see what I'm talking about

We were huge fans of Meddlesome Moth(which had closed a few months prior). The beer list didn't excite me(I'm a beer snob) but the bar vibe and the great staff quickly made me forget about that. We eat there twice a month now and when we don't get in on a regular schedule, we really miss it. I'm a huge fan of the steak frites and my wife loves the weekly pasta dishes which never disappoint. Food, however, wasn't great, we came multiple times last year and it was fantastic all around, last night?... New risotto appetizer was flavorless 4/10, sauce was outstanding 9/10. Chicken meatballs were 6/10, salty, but sauce again was 8.5/10. Bread with the meatballs was 9/10. Nightly special was 9/10, chicken thigh wrapped chicken leg, amazing sauce and carrots. Special sauce with the nightly special stole the night at 9.5/10 - I'd order a bowl of that and call it a night! Magic Chicken Thighs were 6/10, overly salted and dry - side arugula salad was a salt bomb 2/10. Sweet potatoe purée was 7.5/10. Burger and fries were 7/10, solid and above average. Salmon was 7/10, slightly overcooked. Mac & Cheese was 3/10, below average, dry, almost flavorless - paid $4 for bacon topping and it was dry also. Noodles were dried out and the cheese sauce was at the bottom of the cup, tasted like they scooped in pre-made noodles, added sauce, threw it in the oven and off it went - didn't appear mixed together at the least. Carrots, solid 8/10. Overall, I'd be tempted to give it another try, the ambiance and overall feel is awesome - then hope the food is great again and make it a perfect Friday night spot, but for $275 for the 4 entree's, 2 appetizer's and 2 drinks we got last night? Began with a signature cocktail, The Bracco, frozen, not sweet, refreshing with a delicious punch of grapefruit. Perfect for a hot evening in Dallas! You MUST get the biscuits with butter and homemade orange marmalade. It's a must. Salty, buttery, and with a sweet/sour tang of good marmalade. GET IT!! Split the wedge salad. Yes, you should split it. It was big! Plenty for two to split as an appetizer easily or you could add some filet to it for an entree. Will do that for lunch. And probably split that too! The giant bacon cubes and quality blue cheese crumbles are my reason for living. Entrees we tried (this time. We'll definitely try more items next visit): got THE crab cake. It is big. More crab than cake, which shows the quality. Wasn't a fan of the butter sauce, I thought it was too heavy for the delicate crab and would just ask for it plain with just some fresh lemon but the cake itself was perfect with jumbo lumps. Came with fries. Fries and dipping sauces were excellent but may ask for a different side option to keep it lighter. My daughter had the miso glazed salmon which came with potato puree with buttermilk....omg the only fault with it is that there wasn't nearly enough, and a jalapeno slaw, which was crispy and creamy with a little kick to it. Perfection! We also tried the side of creamed corn. Not sweet. Definitely savory and not too heavy, which was nice, with a little mild pepper kick. Desserts we took home because we were stuffed which were the carrot cake and the chocolate pie. We'll eat those tonight while watching tv. I have no doubt they will be great too. Definitely make a reservation. They get crowded. It does get noisy as well. Oh, and hopefully you'll have the best server Jemima. She was so sweet, personable, easy to chat with, and made our first time there a wonderful experience. Note to owners....she deserves a raise for being awesome!!! During my second visit, I tried the Bitter Lemon Soda, which was also very good--simple, refreshing, and without any overpowering flavors. The fried chicken itself was just okay though. There was a lot of meat, and it wasn't dry but the flavors were lacking and the skin wasn't as crispy as I was hoping. I ended up eating mine with a lot of hot sauce. Deviled Eggs with Jalapeno and Bacon Jam ($18): Pretty average. The bacon jam leaned too sweet and overpowered the eggs so you lost any savory flavor. Smoked Sausage ($9): A huge sausage link cut in half with incredible flavor. My friend let me try her sharp cheddar waffle and it wasn't bad but just too subtle for me. It did taste better after air frying it since it crisped up on the outside. Yardbird Hashbrowns ($10): A bit pricey but worth trying at least once. Two thick slabs of hashbrowns that were super crispy and looked and tasted completely different from your typical hashbrowns. Perfectly seasoned too. The dipping sauce was the only miss since it just didn't complement them well. My husband and I shared, and the food was very filling so we had leftovers.
