Flower Child is definitely a house favorite -- and I can see why at first glance. The location is lovely, tucked into a very cute complex with La La Land and other spots that make it feel like a proper little lunch outing. Parking was easy (a win), and despite the 20-person line when we arrived at lunchtime, it moved quickly. The place was packed. Service was efficient. It's that optional tip, flag-style setup where they bring the food to you, and everything came out fast. No complaints there. They also offer both indoor and outdoor seating, which I appreciated -- though I will say, inside was very loud. Cozy, yes. Quiet, no. Now for the food. For me, everything was just... too seasoned. And I say that as someone who loves flavor. The cauliflower was overwhelmingly overseasoned (borderline aggressive), the broccoli was forgettable, and the mashed potatoes were a hard no. The steak came out rare instead of medium, and while the shrimp was fine, it wasn't memorable. I genuinely did not enjoy the cauliflower at all. To be fair, the rest of my group finished their plates and seemed happy -- so this may just be a personal palate preference. But at a $75 bill for the group, I expected to understand the hype a bit more. It's a warm, inviting concept in a great location, clearly beloved and always busy. For me though, the flavors were too heavy-handed, and I wouldn't rush back.

What a fresh surprise. I was going with an open mind. I actually wasn't expecting to be so satiated after. I was thinking light salad/wrap vibes, but the Mediterranean chicken bowl was warm, filling, and full of pizzaz. There's some patio seating at this location, however it is adjacent to the parking lot, so not visually appealing, but the restaurant did a great job of mixing bright furniture with fresh flower boxes to create a cute space.

Very nice place, kind service. Great for lunch, not too loud. I got the Mother Earth bowl and added chicken but honestly I could have did without the chicken. The sweet potatoes were so good. I overall enjoyed my meal. Fresh and good quality.

One of my favorite locations in all of Dallas - I literally go out of my way to come here once in a while. Their bowls are comprehensive, have amazing flavors and diversity of textures and art just the right amount. I have never had a bad meal here and I appreciate the consistency of their product as well as their clean and healthy origin. The ambience is fast casual and the staff is always attentive and delivers the food promptly. This location is usually fairly busy, so make sure to allow for enough time or stop by during off-peak hours. Highly recommended for a healthy quick meal!

I adore Flower Child. I had been to the location in Addison and had some time to kill before meeting so popped in for a healthy snack. I ordered the hummus with fresh vegetables and pita bread, it was delicious! I loved all the colors in the veggies and offerings, , radishes. The pita bread had some nice grains in it and was tasty as well. So, so good! I love all of the fresh offerings on the menu, kudos to the chef for all of the innovative ways to make healthy food delicious. The location is bright and fresh and has fun moments throughout. They did gallery style pictures on several of the walls and a large heart mural that I had to take a photo in front of. They also had a outdoor seating area in front but the patio in the back was closed but looked inviting, framed with plants and flowers. I will definitely be back again!

Delicious healthy food for all diets! vegan, vegetarian, keto friendly. I had the keto turkey sausage & zucchini lasagna bowl. Perfect amount of food, loved the red sauce it came with. The boyfriend had a Mother Earth bowl and added chicken- chicken was extra $$. Cute restaurant decor and friendly staff. Only downside is that it's a bit expensive, but definitely worth the price!

I ended up only ordering a drink and an appetizer because I was so disappointed I didn't want to go further. $23.75 Joey Martini - just a simple dry vodka martini w Kettle One. But the description lured me in with the promise of a fantastic martini with an "extra martini on the side". What I received was a half of a martini with the rest of my martini in a shaker next to it. The martini was fine but nothing special. Not the first time I've overplayed for a drink but I do feel a little funny about the way their menu sold me then undelivered. $19 Hummus - The food was an issue for me though. When I order Hummus, I expect to receive hummus. Like the dish should be 70-80% hummus with some light toppings and some good pita bread. What I received was a pretty plate but very little actual hummus and a disaster of pita. First, they made a pretty plate circle of a small band of hummus then filled it with extra stuff to make it APPPEAR as if the center was filled with hummus yet there was zero hummus except for that small outer band. I estimate 49% hummus and the rest tzatziki and garnishment. Don't get me wrong, very aesthetically pleasing and tasty "extras" but the menu item isn't titled "EXTRAS with a little hummus". It's titled "Hunmus". And the pita... oh boy, what a mess. Proper pita is lightly grilled - served warm with a nice sponginess yet bite friendly approach. This pita was way over saturated in their butter/oil, and crisped up to the point there were burn marks and char on every piece. Horrible pairing with hummus and JOEY should know it. I feel these other reviews may be fake honestly as the prices are insane and the execution quite poor. Be careful. $45 for a $15 meal isn't worth it. Go somewhere else - I'm including a pic of the "hummus" reveal so you see what I'm talking about

I had booked a reservation on Resy and we were seated immediately in a small, intimate booth. Initially, it was not terribly loud, but as the evening progressed and several large parties were seated nearby; the sound of the music was completely drowned out. I think more noise abatement measures could be taken to absorb some of the obtrusive loudness we were getting. For a starter, we ordered the Calamari. It was fried perfectly and was great, but the Thai Sticky sauce was too sweet and the consistency of the sauce was thin. It needed something to make it more viscous, and a secondary sauce, like a marinara or even an aioli would've been nice to balance out the sweetness of the Thai sauce. For an entree, I ordered the Maple- Ginger Salmon. The salmon was cooked perfectly and itself was delicious, but the sauce was too sweet and rich. The fired rice that accompanied my meal was over-the-top salty. It was almost going into "too much" territory. For desert we split the Passion Fruit Ice Cream Pie. This was actually very good and not overly sweet. It was my favorite item from my meal. Overall Renny's truly employs a lot of care and attention to the food, but some of the items crossed a line into "too much" territory. Be it sweetness or saltiness, the kitchen could exercise a bit of restraint to let the flavors of the food shine.

Food, however, wasn't great, we came multiple times last year and it was fantastic all around, last night?... New risotto appetizer was flavorless 4/10, sauce was outstanding 9/10. Chicken meatballs were 6/10, salty, but sauce again was 8.5/10. Bread with the meatballs was 9/10. Nightly special was 9/10, chicken thigh wrapped chicken leg, amazing sauce and carrots. Special sauce with the nightly special stole the night at 9.5/10 - I'd order a bowl of that and call it a night! Magic Chicken Thighs were 6/10, overly salted and dry - side arugula salad was a salt bomb 2/10. Sweet potatoe purée was 7.5/10. Burger and fries were 7/10, solid and above average. Salmon was 7/10, slightly overcooked. Mac & Cheese was 3/10, below average, dry, almost flavorless - paid $4 for bacon topping and it was dry also. Noodles were dried out and the cheese sauce was at the bottom of the cup, tasted like they scooped in pre-made noodles, added sauce, threw it in the oven and off it went - didn't appear mixed together at the least. Carrots, solid 8/10. Overall, I'd be tempted to give it another try, the ambiance and overall feel is awesome - then hope the food is great again and make it a perfect Friday night spot, but for $275 for the 4 entree's, 2 appetizer's and 2 drinks we got last night? I'd argue it wasn't worth it.

From the hostesses to Dave our server. I have to take my hat off to Carlos one of theeeee BEST bartenders I've ever experienced!! Always kind and accommodating, making every guest feel like family. We weren't too hungry last night so we had appetizers. The crab dip and crab cake, garlic bread and voodoo sauce, trust me you must try it! I've had the fish and chips, shrimp and grits in the past all very tasty! I love the rotation of the specials and can't wait to bring my parents there next month when they come to visit! Please stay consistent!! Definitely a restaurant to add to the rotation!
