First time having CAVA and I've heard good things. The "Mediterranean Chipotle". I was surprised to see there was a steady flow of people on a weeknight. I figure this would be more of a popular lunch option and less so dinner. You can choose a preset bowl / pita, build your own bowl, build your own pita. A base bowl is $10.10 and comes with select meats that are included in the price (like chicken, veggies, falafel), 2 sauces, unlimited toppings (some are additional like avocado), and dressing. I did the build your own bowl with salad mix and grains. There's a wall of salad greens that you can choose from. Chose the Supergreens and brown rice. The Supergreens has sliced Brussels sprouts which you don't see often in a greens mix. Added braised lamb +$2.10. Got the tzatziki and harissa sauce (a bit spicy). Picked a bunch of toppings. They have small pita chips as toppings. Tahini dressing but really didn't need it with the bowl since the two sauces provided another flavor. $12 for a bowl not too bad but seems higher than a Chipotle. Thought it'd be big enough to split into 2 portions. I calculated later the calories of my bowl and it was close to 1,000! Super shocked. The braised lamb is the fattier protein option. They have a nice outdoor seating area during warmer weather. Inside didn't feel like a lot of seating. Not good for large groups since you can't put the tables together. Not somewhere I'd frequent often but I enjoyed. read more

I really want to give this spot 5 stars. I know that Cava can redeem themselves and get those 5 stars but my first visit was less than perfect. Establishment was under staffed but still making it happen. The line was extremely long and they had run out of a few topping and lemonade. My food was still really good with what I was able to get. I received two recommendations regarding this place and it did not disappoint. I had the kids pita wrap with grilled chicken which also comes with a drink and your choice of pita chips or carrots. I had the cucumber and mint juice which was refreshing and delicious at the same time. I like that this place allows you to build your own salad, bowl or pita wrap with a ton of healthier choices. I will be adding this to my weekly rotation of places. read more

My first time at Cava and i know I'm already hooked. I would describe Cava as having a chipotle style ordering but with a more Mediterranean twist. I have been a handful of times now since my first visit, tried a couple of different bowls and methods and here is what i have come up with. My first time in was great, the nice gentleman walked me through the entire line, the different options, how many sauces i can have. He explained everything and was so kind and helpful. The next visit, i wanted to place my order through the app and just quickly get in and out. I think the app is great and easy to navigate. I arrived about 5-10 minutes after my expected pick up (215ish) there were no orders at the designated pick up counter and a few people in line so i stood back and waited to be able to check with the employee. Well another 10 minutes passed and I'm thinking i should have just got in line lol it seemed like my order was ready in the back but no one brought it up to the pick up counter or some sort of miscommunication there. I can get hangry sometimes so i will not be ordering in the app and will just order in person from now on. I prefer to just create my own combination of bowl rather than their preset menu of items but both methods are really good depending on what you like. The food line has been clean and stocked each time i have been here and the staff has been friendly. Yall!! I just left out of here and had the best service I've ever had at a cava. First, I got a free pita to snack on in line (others did as well) and then as I asked questions, Tasia, the person who took my order gave it to me for free! I was so shocked and felt honored for the courtesy. The vibe and generosity of tasia could be felt all throughout the store. I've always loved CAVA so tonight I decided to try their new steak bowl. I ordered it on the app at approximately 5:15 PM for pickup in Addison at 5:30 PM. When I got there, the place wasn't particularly busy but it appeared they hadn't even started work on my order. OK, no big deal; I can wait. At 5:40 I got my bowl, but unfortunately it was hugely disappointing. I wish I'd ordered the dressing on the side, because the bowl was DRENCHED in dressing. Also, about a third of the steak was grisly and inedible, and the rest of the meat was in tiny, hard, dry pieces. I'll never order that bowl again. Maybe they were having an off night, but I won't be going back any time soon. read more

Love this place! I come here VERY often for lunch. Its the best option by far if you are looking for clean eating at a great value! The service here is really amazing. Everyone here is super kind and very friendly at this location. Kassandra, Omaia, Amanda, Fatima and Tasia are all just amazing people. Cava has done a great job overall. Every location I've eaten at has had very consistently great food. Even the drinks are terrific, can't ecommend the mint cucumber lime and strawberry citrus enough. Apparently I'm not the only one who thinks this because it gets soo busy during lunch so its better to come a little earlier/later or order online. I see lots of people simply picking up their order after ordering online. Simply can't recommend Cava enough. read more

Cava is like a healthier and Mediterranean version of chipotle. You can pick pita wrap, bowl, or a salad and pick your own meat and toppings. Everything has so much flavor and are marinated very well. Meat options are Mediterranean inspired of course, with choices of falafel, lamb meatball, roasted salmon, etc. Some meats are extra charge. My favorite part of Cava is their abundant number of fresh toppings and how I can put as many toppings as I want without an extra charge. If you love to try new things like me, it's so fun to put all the toppings in your bowl and nibble at different things. And their dressing and dips? So many options and all with great flavors as well. You name it and they have it, like tahini, garlic sauce, yogurt dill, etc. Even the type of greens you can get as a base for your salad bowl has several options. Cava is heaven for those who want to eat healthy but want to eat variety. The portion size is also great and I can easily eat one bowl as two separate meals. I'm a big fan of Cava, but this particular location is a bit lacking. Always running out of ingredients way before closing, long lines/waits, and some toppings just don't seem that fresh compared to other locations. Ordered for over $12 a custom bowl- half saffron rice/half super greens, half harissa chicken, half regular, cucumber, corn, broccoli, pickled onion, feta and pita. I have two good chunks of chicken- rest are scraps, no super greens really- a few pieces- no pita, no broccoli, a few pieces of cucumber (6 half pieces) and pickled onions - on that side they did well. I have been quite a few times since it opened. I usually order a bowl with super greens, rice, lamb meatballs and honey harissa chicken and a plethora of veggies. There is so much variety. I have a love/hate relationship with options but it works. There are also several sauces to choose from. Some are vegan. My favorites are garlic and lemon herb tahini. Do yourself a favor and get the pita crisps. They add a nice textural element to the bowl. Cava is my new go to for Mediterranean food. Wow. Love the food but the customer service SUCKS!!! And I blame the manager directly. Went in tonight, got order to go, got home and no pita chips. As was supposed to come with the order. I called, someone immediately answered the phone, told him what happened, he says I'll put you with our manager. I hear him telling someone what happened with my order...then the line goes dead. Ok, I call back. No answer this time. I call back 4-5 times...never answered again. Wow. They are actually avoiding my call. And no...it's not due to busy-ness. They're about to close and don't want to deal with me. This is deplorable. I expect this to be made right. What could have been resolved with a quick phone call with the manager has now turned into my contacting CAVA Corporate and letting them know how this location is being run. Too bad. read more
