    Shawarma sandwich on baguette.

KOSHER Lunch for two. Ordered shawarma on baguette. Flavor profile was very good. French fries were also quite well done. Flavor was good. Nothing was left uneaten. This was a total win.

My friend took me to this hole-in-the-wall kosher Mediterranean restaurant for lunch, and I'm so glad we visited! It was pretty busy when we visited on a weekday. People were coming in and out to pick up catering and to-go orders, and several parties were dining in. What we got: - Perrier sparkling water - falafel hummus: The hummus here is creamy and quite delicious, so I definitely recommend! The falafels are pretty small, but packed full of ground chickpea and sprinkled with paprika. Great with the thick pita! - meat cigars: thinly fried "cigars" filled with ground meat. Served with tahini sauce, a great appetizer to start your meal and share! - lamb tagine: lamb stew meat with two sides - we chose rice and Israeli salad. The meat is well-cooked so that it is soft and juicy. Lots of flavor in every bite. Israeli salad of cucumber and tomato helped add some variety to the palate between the bites of meat. It's a large portion size; definitely good to share between two people. Overall, service was friendly and efficient. There is ample parking space in front of the restaurant. Seems great for to-go or catering orders, as well!

If you recommend the business to its level then it is excellent the prices in the service order are nice and there are no complaints in general, I promise you will not suffer there Do not recommend coming with high expectations but as one of the only kosher restaurants in Dallas this is a fine option. For those of us who want to try something different - try the coconut and curry chicken.

Chicken schnitzel. Perfectly made! I'm coming back soon.

Aderet has wowed me. I love it and can't wait to bring my family back. This is a place that my kids would enjoy tremendously. Try to baba ghanoush and the hummus with falafel.

I finally got to try the food and I really enjoyed the Israeli salad, schnitzel, onion rings, grilled chicken skewers, hummus and falafels. The restaurant had all tables full around 7pm and you can seat yourself. The cashier wasn't the most friendly but the food was two thumbs up. This seems to be a family owned authentically kosher restaurant. They are closed on Saturday and do not take orders maybe 15 mins before close (8:30). I came by here four times in two weeks because I enjoyed it so much!

Half-and-half combo plate consisting of kabobs and pargiot

This is Dallas' premier Kosher restaurant, without having to go to Richardson where there are many more Kosher establishments to choose from. This place used to be in South Florida years ago but they packed up and moved to Dallas. The menu is considered Israeli style cuisine, but don't come here expecting Eztel Itzik of Aventura, FL. The food and table culture leans toward more American/European style rather than Israeli like Etzel Itzik, and the price points are higher here. But despite this, it's still a good place to eat as the food was prepared well and the service is as friendly as it can get, with the joyful Israeli manager, Droit, being around to make sure that everyone is happy. The things to get here, according to their recommendations, are the kabobs (more like kafta), pargiot (seasoned chicken thighs), and schnitzel. I didn't try the schnitzel but I tried the pargiot and kabob half-and-half combo. The pargiot was one of the best I have had, and the kabob was okay, a little on the salty side. The large individual combo plate was a little pricey, at $16, but it was accompanied by basmati rice and Israeli salad (chopped tomato and cucumber salad). My dining companion wanted to be adventurous and he tried the Moroccan salmon special on the menu. But he conceded that the regular grilled salmon was better. Either way, he still loves the place, mostly because of the schnitzel (he comes almost weekly just for it and swears by it). I also was able to ask for Israeli limonana, which is mint-infused lemonade. That was a plus even though I'm used to see the mint chopped up and mixed into the lemonade. Aderet's version did not have chopped up mint. For $2, it was good. And while I was here, there was always people. It seems to be a popular place and I can only see this place becoming even more popular soon, once they open their Kosher dairy restaurant next door (which will be more of a pizzeria and deli).

I stopped by here with 2 friends on a Sunday afternoon around 1 PM. It was actually really crowded and the host had to create a table in the corner for us so we wouldn't have to wait which was very nice. Food We ordered 3 things to share and it was the perfect amount of food for everyone. APPETIZERS 1) Hummus and Olive Oil - smooth and creamy texture; generous portion that came with 2 pita for dipping! I tasted a chicken or meat undertone to the hummus but it wasn't distracting. MAINS 1) Pargiot - the chicken was so tender and flavorful! It had the perfect char on the outside to give it that fresh-off-the-grill taste. I highly recommend ordering this dish. 2) Schnitzel - super crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. I ended up using the hummus as a dipping sauce for the schnitzel to give it a little more flavor. It was a good dish but I preferred the Pargiot more. DESSERT 1) Parve-Cheese Cake - we were able to try this cheesecake and it was delicious! It was dairy free yet was still creamy and smooth. It had the right amount of vanilla flavor and ended our meal nicely. It did get a little sweet after a few bites but that didn't stop us from finishing the entire slice. All of the food was incredibly fresh and did not make you feel overly stuffed afterwards! Ambience/Service It was a relatively small casual restaurant with less than 10 tables give or take. I didn't feel overwhelmed with the restaurant being completely full. The only downside was that there was only 1 host, Aaron, so the service was slower than expected. It would have been better for the employees and the customers to have at least 1 additional host/hostess. However he apologized for the wait and was still attentive throughout our visit. He also let us try the cheesecake which was very thoughtful!! Price Prices are a bit steep at around $15-17 per plate for main dishes. The quality and freshness of the food do justify the prices though, especially if you're on a specific diet. Parking The restaurant is located in the corner of a strip center that has a decent sized parking lot. No issues finding parking. Overall, this was a great find with fresh and flavorful food. I would definitely come back the next time I'm in town!

Rishi took our phone call and ensured that we had a table waiting for our group of three when we arrived. The restaurant was about 50% full when we got here. The menu was varied and ready to accommodate small groups or individuals as well as family style options for larger groups. It took around 15 to 20 minutes to get the appetizer. The staff was apologetic however little curious, considering the fact that the restaurant was not that busy. For an appetizer, we ordered the roasted cauliflower and the flaming Saganaki. Both of which were delicious. Then followed that with a Mediterranean salad (not realizing that our entrees came with salads, lol). And for our entrees: Mediterranean Moussaka, chicken kabob for the kiddo and the 24 hour braised lamb shank for me. Dessert was the Kunafa- a new flavor explosion like I had never experienced before. Now, the food was tasty, very tasty. However in speaking to Stan, the owner, they pride themselves on Himalayan hospitality. And while I've never been to the Himalayan mountains, nor Nepal, I now have this uncanny desire to visit that region if the service is even a fraction of what I have received tonight! From wonderful suggestions, to a small scoop of ice cream for my son, and several flavors that we were able to just sample and try based on his pure excitement about sharing the flavors. This was just a fantastic experience, all around. 10/10 would recommend 10/10 will be back.

Fortunately, they had some space on the patio. It was a hot night however they had couple fans to blow away some heat. Food: Started with a salad which was fresh, flavorful and with large chunks of beets, watermelon, and feta cheese. Great appetizer. My wife and I wanted to try a couple of items to share for the main entree, I had branzino. The whole fish, filleted, and grilled. The flavor was rich, without being overly salty nor too oily. The sides 1. Grilled Branzino - Served with quinoa arugula salad 2. Ali Nazik- Chargrilled lamb shish over smoked eggplant puree served with bean salad on the side Both were fantastic. The lamb was cooked just right and turned out moist and tender. The eggplant puree was a great texture; neither too smooth to lose its integrity nor too chunky. The staff was attentive and helpful. Verdict: 9/10: Would definitely go back but with a reservation or in a mindset to sit in the heat on the patio. Also, the deboning process for the fish could've used a little more care, but that didn't take away from the flavor.

The good : flavors were delicious. Our server was attentive and the entire staff seemed happy to have us.The flat bread pide (at another table) looked sumptuous . Chicken shish kebab chunks were cooked well and seasoned nicely and were juicy. The complementary bread is superb. The yogurt dip that went with though was not enough for us to have more than a few bites. Needs improvement: there was no reason why the accompanying (delicious) bean and cucumber salad was 24 to 48 hours old with Limp cucumbers and parsley and flavorless tomatoes. Needs to be fresh daily and use cherry tomatoes or Campari tomatoes for flavor and crispness. Turkish Rice was meh. It was cooked properly but not a whole lot of flavor and perhaps I was expecting more of a Lebanese style pilaf with butter, nuts, spices, onions, etc. to brighten it up. Beyti minced beef had good flavor, but why did they have gristle in it? My dinner companion complains was that this was a cheap cut. The butcher supplier is not paying attention. It also could've used a little bit more sauce on the bread wrap pieces for added juiciness. We ordered the.Tzatziki yogurt dip which helped add juiciness . There was no reason why the Turkish red wine came out warm. I realize that we were in a Dallas summer at 95° at 9 PM and the restaurant was slightly warm but still. Lastly, the owners might think about mitigating the hard surfaces that reflect sound in the restaurant. It's a lively place, but we were subjected to the group of six women who were drinking enough to be loud and screechy across the room - all too common across the city -and I did not need to hear them yukking it up. The place was full on a Saturday night, which bodes well for this restaurant. The staff attitude is good, but I'm afraid this will not be a repeat for me and my companions. .

Afrah is THE place to be for Mediterranean food - before Greenville Ave became Arab central, before there was anyone, there was Afrah. A beautiful, airy restaurant with gorgeous seating, a bustling dessert case, ice cream center and so many treats to offer under one roof. Afrah is to the Muslim community in Richardson as a glove is to a hand. It truly is a one stop shop for all your nostalgic cravings, and it would be a grave injustice on my part if I didn't stop by here and sing praise to one of the most loved Mediterranean restaurants in the DFW area. We visited here recently for an iftar buffet experience and were very very happy with the food we got. The buffet line was running smoothly, from staff working diligently to hand everyone a tray with napkins, plates and cutlery already set for you. Waiters were going around the massive dining hall clearing plates, making sure everyone had what they needed, seating patrons and asking if everything tasted good. This establishment runs like a literal well oiled machine and I am so impressed. The food was as always out of this world. Carefully prepared menu that satisfies everyone's taste buds. A good selection of classic cold appetizers like the baba ghanoush, hummus, and variety of salads. Always including something unique for a typical Middle Eastern flare. Hot lentil soup available with bowls carefully placed in the vicinity. So many different types of kebabs and freshly made hot pita bread being replaced like clockwork. The buffet had many of my favorite classics like Shawarma meat, beef kebab, chicken kebab. Lamb, chicken stew, baked chicken, everything was present in abundance. They even had salmon which I deeply appreciated as a seafood lover. My only complaint is the food wasn't hot enough which can be annoying with a buffet that is serving so many people during a busy time like Ramadan. Everything tasted absolutely phenomenal and when I returned for dessert, I was greeted with six different types of sweets from all over the world. That's the thing about this place. There's always something for everybody. The dining hall was bustling with not just Muslim patrons, but also a lot of American white patrons who equally enjoy the food here as much as we do. Inclusions of dishes like shrimp pasta, fried fish, chocolate mousse, and other fan favorites is a humble nod to non-Arab customers who love to frequent this place as much as we do.
