Great place for lunch! I work nearby and it's very easy to order a customized salad and pay online. They conveniently tell you the calorie count of each item when you're adding to your cart which I appreciate. Order is usually ready within 10 mins and they place your order on a rack at the front of the restaurant where you can just run in and pick it up. Restaurant is always clean and well maintained. Would recommend for a to go meal or quick lunch but they also have dine in space. Food is also typically fresh and my orders have always been accurate. read more

I have been coming here for a few years now. For the most part, same employees! That tells you something. All the ladies serving always have a smile and talk to me as if we are good friends. The food is always fresh and it is well worth it. I have to eat healthy so it is not uncommon for me to eat here at lunch 2 to 3 days out of the week. Perfect place to come eat when you want a healthy salad. The bonus of coming here is because I'm very picky about certain things being in my salad, is that you get to build your own here. It can be a little overwhelming cause there are so many items to choose from. Also love that the portions are large which gave me 2 meals in one. My boyfriend has raved about Salata for so long so we ordered over the weekend. The selection of greens, toppings, and dressings are what makes it! The ingredients are quality, fresh, and travel well when ordering to be delivered. You can really load up on any and all toppings you could think to put on a salad. I thought for the regular-sized salad bowl, the price was VERY reasonable. It's huge! I ended up eating the salad over the course of 3 different meals. Let me summarize: Pros: Clean, fresh, quick, a ton of options and very reasonable price...$7 for a sm & $8 for a lg basic salad (no meat). Meat add ons are extra but they have a nice variety of options! Dressings are yummy and they have a very friendly allergy guide to help you out! Cons: The toppings are given out in such small quantity and cut so small that you can hardly taste them, lol. For example, I asked for hard boiled egg and probably got 1/20 of the egg on my actual large salad. However, you can get as many toppings as you like so eventually the salad gets hearty! One more con...the guy at the very end who mixed the salads and boxed them did a pretty messy job, which took away from the "clean and fresh" feeling. But I get that he was hurrying. Wow I am disappointed in Salata. We have been coming for a while and the prices keep increasing, but the portions are getting smaller. I love avocado on my salad but they only give you a quarter of a small avocado for $1.25 upcharge. That is such a rip off! Maybe it was just this recent visit, but the scoops of toppings are much smaller now, and the two ladies working when I went were both rude and talking crap about the customers in Spanish. I am a big fan of this place but I do think the Addison location is not quite as good as the Irving location. Both times I've tried each location it is been at lunch time. I am about midway between the two locations. This particular location is not quite as fresh on my visits as the other one. Now it's not bad mind you it's just not as fresh. For those of you who have that have been 2 try them you know the drill but for those of you that have not it works like this. You get in line and you go down the line you choose your lettuce your vegetables or fruits even pasta that you might want mixed in your salad and then you choose your dress and then you can choose a Brad or a crouton sesame sticks to have mixed into your salad. You can also get a wrap if you prefer. The salads themselves come in two different sizes. What I do like about both locations is that they are not self serve and have professional employees putting your salad together for you. Think of it as a salad bar with servers and you will get the idea. Probably the toughest part for me at both locations is by the time you get the salad how you want it with the proteins that you want on it it's easily going to cost you about $15 per person. When I think about it like that signing up for a $15 lunch, there might be some other choices for that price range that sound more appealing to me. There is a high likelihood though that those other choices that I might opt for are not quite as healthy as this option. And for that reason I will return. read more

I'm not sure if it's my inner fat kid or my outer skinny girl that can't wait until lunch time just so I can walk over to Salata and try something new. There are so many options in so many categories that you have to mix it up a bit on each visit. What's even better is that the staff is ready and willing to make suggestions. I typically go for a wrap because even the choice of tortillas presents another realm of flavors to be explored and paired with whichever greens, toppings, marinated meats and dressings you've selected. My favorite dressing so far is the signature Ginger Lime, which I've actually made a rendition of before at home. But it doesn't stop there. Salata also has soups, breads, bite-size desserts and signature beverages. I sometimes wish it would rain green tea, but until it does I'm happy with the delicious signature options at Salata. The line can move a little slow sometimes, but I don't complain because with so many options it can take a moment to decide what you want. Also, the staff is very helpful and wants to make sure you get exactly what you want. Their attention to details is impeccable. Sampling the unique salad dressings alone can take a minute, but this is a must while you're there. read more
