G&B is a very targeted little spot. Opens at 9 so no early morning folks. No eggs, no meats. It's all bread, spreads and plant proteins. I know there are folks out that will eat that up. No hate, but that's not my jive. Service was friendly and fast. Store was clean. Great place if this is your thing.

I came today to Grain and Berry on opening day since they were offering free bowls for a year to the first 100 guests. There was a bit of an issue when they started handing out the vouchers for the first 100 people, as advertised on their social media. Last minute, they changed it to 1 voucher per household--even though many people showed up with their kids and had been waiting since way before 7am. Honestly, that felt unfair. They should've stuck to what was originally promised or at least given 2 vouchers per household instead of changing the rules on the spot. I ordered the "Grain and Berry Bowl" and picked spirulina as my base (never had it before!). It came loaded with granola, banana, strawberry, blueberry, Nutella, peanut butter, and coconut shavings. The bowl was delicious; I really enjoyed all the flavors together. The staff was super friendly and welcoming, and they were quick with preparing the orders. Can't wait to come back every month for my free bowl!

    Very cute and clean

Good food, but they are consistently understaffed so it takes forever to get orders.m; even if you order ahead.

The food here is absolutely excellent, with a massive menu where everything hits the mark. On top of that, the prices are incredibly affordable. It is getting harder and harder to find high-quality, fresh food that doesn't break the bank, but they keep it totally reasonable. To make it even better, the staff is beyond amazing. They are genuinely friendly, fast, and make you feel like a regular the second you walk through the door. It's local, it's charming, and it's a total Richardson treasure. 10/10 recommend checking them out!

She suggested the Gilroy Chicken, which came with mash potatoes. Where I adore capers, this dish came with way too many, almost a 1/4 cup per the dish, which made it way too salty. The sauce was gloopy instead of silky, it only had 2 pieces of artichokes per the whole dish. The mash potatoes tasted instant and lacked flavor. If this had been my 1st visit...it would have been my last. I could have made a better dish at home. Meh!

There was access in the back of the restaurant from the back parking lot. From the time we walked in, we were in a whimsical Alice in Wonderland rabbit hole so adorable with the clocks ticking in the books on the shelf. Picture perfect.! It definitely is brunch time. Oh did I mention how tentative the staff was? We didn't have to wait longer than 60 seconds before we were seated. Ok and what we came here for... the food! Goodness gracious... it was so delicious. I got the special and my girls got a grilled cheese and a garden omelette.

A bit of a Sunday brunch rush, but the wait was only 20 minutes. The service was friendly, but distracted. We had to remind twice to get a high chair and ask as many times for silverware and napkins. The chia seed bowl was tasty but lacking what First Watch offers. Maybe add some vanilla to the chia to sweeten without adding sugar or some compote on the bottom of the bowl as a nice surprise. But at $9.99, it's a good option. The BT Mocha was over the top in the best ways but also the stack coma inducing sweetness left little room for the actual coffee stuff. Biggest drawback with such a popular and tasty spot is the single stall bathrooms. With mimosas and a full bar, and coffee to push things along, there of course is a multi-person line. Being a new and independent venue, they can't do much to expand the options. But maybe consider automating the bathrooms to speed things along: self-flushing toilet, automatic soap, sink and towel dispensers. Also, with the volume of folks, the bathroom needs constant attention.
