Vitality Bowls have good quality smoothie bowls that skew more towards the healthy side. I've gotten their Açaí bowls a number of times and appreciate the true fruit taste (you can tell they're not adding juice concentrates or sherbets) and the quality of the toppings. They have a good app that makes it easy to place to-go orders. One time I decided to by pass the app and eat at the actual cafe. Well, that was my intention, but the lady taking my order was so unnecessarily rude and short with me, that I didn't want to stay there. I've encountered a number of employees here while picking up. They've all been really nice and pleasant, but in this one occasion, I dealt with an older woman who from the get go, was oddly mean with zero provocation. I wanted to order a monthly special. I called it the "monthly special bowl" because that's exactly what the sign by the register said. She got exasperated with me because I didn't call it what ever description was listed under the heading and rolled her eyes and refused to make eye contact. I decided to get the bowl to-go because it was very clear this person was irrationally upset at something. It just felt like it wasn't a good idea to stay. It was a downright bizarre reaction and it felt very unwelcoming. She was the only person working so she went in the back to make the bowl. When the bowl was ready she passed off the bag to me- once again, not making eye-contact and asking exasperated that she had to deal with a customer. I'm very passive and would never call someone out or try to match that kind of energy. I would recommend this lady not deal in a customer facing role. All other encounters with other employees here are great, so this was the only experience I would say detracts from Vitality bowls. I've been happy and satisfied with the bowls and smoothies I've ordered here and I wouldn't let that one experience keep me away from VB, I would just hope that lady gets an attitude adjustment before she drives customers away. read more

Very poor service! I've waited for 20 minutes for my large tropical bowl. It was my first time trying this place since it's closer to me than Nektar. However, I think I rather drive the further distance to get faster service. The staff never provided me an update 10 minutes in of waiting. I asked at the 15 minute mark. They told me they were backed up, which is possible on Saturday at noon. However, at the time of order, they should have told me how backed up they were. I feel like staff was probably working on food app orders. Very horrible experience. I only saw two people waiting before me. So if they were backed up by other online orders, they should have prioritized the people in front of them. I would not recommend this location at all due to the service. None of the employees compensated the 20 minute wait.. The only difference is that this place has substitute for gluten free options and honey instead of agave at Nektar. Even though gluten free option was horrible....it was basically gluten free cereal in my bowl. Not gluten free granola as they market it on menu. Save yourself time and go to Nektar. read more

Vitality Bowls (Plano TX) - differently good! The kind of food they serve there is not normally my go-to (I'm not vegan or a health nut) but was looking for some healthy comfort food and found it! Looking at their menu, I chose two 'Superfood Ninja Approved' items. The Superseed Avocado Toast and it was surprisingly yummy. I'm not an avocado toast fan but the mix of tastes on this toast just seemed to hit the spot. If I could compare it to something I'd normally eat, it'd be an everything bagel with avocado and feta cheese. The Go Green smoothie and it also hit the spot. I'm not a fan of kale and even though this drink had it, it wasn't overly noticable. This was almost a pure ingredient smoothie with little ice. It's hard to describe the overall taste but let's say the combination of ingredients was really good. The interior of Vitality Bowls was spotless clean and the service was quite good. I will return and try their steak bowls or wraps. Of note, although this is close to a mall (I'd guess it's kitty corner across a tollway and near a Target), it's not inside the mall and was exceedingly convenient to get in and out of. read more
