Time for a review update? Well..yelp is kinda pushing me into this one since alls I did was add some pics but ya know what, these guys deserve all their props! The food's been consistently high quality and they have maintained it. They've added to their Pakistani menu with chaat which is really good and reasonably priced, on top of their already great food options. My favorite remains the weekend halwa-puri although sometimes they forget the pickled onions which is a minor boo, and their take on the venerable club sandwich. Occasionally they'll have gulab jaman as well which is absolutely killer, but sadly I have not seen it offered recently. I usually do take away as it's not a big establishment and they are often busy during weekends when I find myself here. That said, the inside is nice and they've kept it well maintained and their staff has always been great. I can't recommend them highly enough! read more

The worker was in the back when I arrived. After about 5 mins he came out and did not acknowledge me. I greeted him and he did not respond. When he finally acknowledged me he nodded. I advised him I was there to pickup my online order, which consisted of 2 juices. My order was not ready. Another person patron placed an order about 3 minutes after I was told my order was not ready. That woman ordered the same juices that I did and hers was ready shortly after. I was standing right in front of the worker and said "excuse me sir" to ask how much longer my order would be. He ignored me and walked to the back. I cancelled my order, and immediately left. Just like Buddy the Elf qualifies maple syrup as a food category, I think açaí/ smoothie bowls are one of my own food groups. I could eat one every day for the rest of my life and be perfectly content. So when Cafe Açaí was nearby and I was really needing sustenance, it was as easy as realizing New York Santa was an imposter (please refer to the movie Elf if you don't understand). Cafe Açaí is pretty cute, and they have more than just açaí. But as I was looking at the menu for bowls, it was a little difficult to read and decipher, because of the weird way it was laid out. And compared to other açaí places I've been, it seemed that their bowls had less toppings than most places, so it's extra $$ to add them which is never bueno. But besides having meager original toppings, the bowls themselves are HUGE. My cousin and I both got one and neither of us were able to finish them because we were way too full. Let's start with how all their ingredients are hormone free, antibiotic free, msg free, no added sugars, no dairy, gluten free and HALAL. #iykyk I got the heavenly bowl and it really is HEAVENLY the goji berries and almond butter inside pair so well together. By far the LARGEST açaí bowl you can find in the area. For 10 bucks, it better be good AND it was. I got the heavenly açaí bowl and it had flavor, crunch, lots of fruit, and very filling. You kinda need to read the menu because each one had different stuff that was blended in the smoothie and what is sprinkled on the top of the bowl. I really had high hopes from the food but cannot give 5 stars because of a few reasons. I have not tried the smoothies or acas bowls here. I have ordered the Breakfast menu for the weekend. It was the Puri chole platter with 3 poories, potato curry, chhole curry and Halwa. The halwa is the star in this platter. very authentic and flavorful! The taste is North Indian and not South Indian inspired. This taste is unique for South Asian taste buds. However, all the dishes are extremely oily and does give you indigestion. So, beware of that. I have tried the Kashmiri tea twice. The first time was really good. Pink in color, flavorful and had dry fruit pieces in it. But the next time was really bad, no flavor or color. The Doodh Patti tea is really bad, not suitable for pro chai lovers! I also the tried the Avocado Toast, which is pretty basic. The service is not consistent. I have been ordering the açaí bowls here for a few years now and have always loved them. But now, you don't even get a full bowl anymore. The portion size has gone down the last few times. This time, it was barely over half full. I am being charged over $14 because I added coconut and strawberries, and it's definitely not worth it. It had little chunks of strawberry, so maybe about a half a strawberry finely diced. This time, I asked about the quantity overall and got a shoulder shrug.
