It feels like a little community! I ordered the Maple Sausage Croissant sourced from Sugar Loaf Bakery along with a hot Purple Haze latte made with lavender and vanilla syrup. My drink came out fairly quickly, and I thought it was great. It was well balanced and not overly sweet. As for the Maple Sausage Croissant, it was exactly what it sounded like, a maple sausage tucked into a croissant. I initially expected the croissant itself to be maple flavored, similar to a McGriddle, but it was still fresh and enjoyable. They had been keeping them warm in a heater throughout the morning, which definitely helped. I have stopped by 1418 Coffee a few times when visiting Dallas, and I plan to keep returning. The first time I got and iced latte with their regular milk (I'm assuming whole milk). It tore my stomach up!!! The second time I went, I got the same latte but opted for Almond milk instead. Why did it also mess my stomach up?!! It's so upsetting to me, because I love the vibe of this place and the way that the coffee tastes, but unfortunately, my lactose intolerance hates Summer Moon.
