Absolutely obsessed with the Blueberry Almond Butter Superfood Smoothie at Nékter! The flavor combo is spot on--sweet blueberries with that creamy almond butter, and just a hint of agave that ties it all together without being too sweet. I love that they use pea protein--makes it totally vegan, filling, and actually nutritious. It's smooth, fresh, and satisfying enough to be a whole meal, but still tastes like a treat. We order from this location every Thursday from our clinic. They never give us all of our juice. In person, when getting the detox juice w/added protein, they use a larger cup to get it all and then any extra is put into a smaller cup. When you get delivery, they never give us all of the juice. In fact, the don't even give us a cup full. They give us a 1/2 cup with the other half being foam! $15 per drink for only 1/2 of the beverage. We only figured this out recently. Tried to call today to make sure this does not happen again and no one answered the phone! Update: The Apple detox drink, added whey protein, frozen pineapple, extra ginger, no ice, was delivered NOT the full contents and this time was watery. I always take into account the separation because it's being delivered, but even when mixed, this was one of the worst ones we've ever received. read more

They were really backed up today and I waited almost an hour between ordering and receiving my order. Granted I had 4 items in our order but this location is servicing the walk ins as well as delivery orders and they simply can't keep up. They need more staff, there were 3 people, not enough. I have tried the same smoothie Health Nut at several of their locations and consistency is never the same. Too watery, didn't fill the cup, too many bananas, too bland, etc...When you complain the young adults behind the counter give you dirty looks. I have ordered their protein powder bowl as well and have to say that has never been consistent either. I am not against hiring young adults but teach them customer service and how to make the items properly. This last visit my entire points got deducted for 16oz smoothie. I was told to call corporate to fix their mistake. I had Nektar for the first time in Austin where I fell in love with this place even though they were expensive. I am a huge Nekter Juice Bar fan as of late mostly because of their consistency across the board. I love this location as it is close to my gym and all of the things that I enjoy doing. I often come here after an early morning run and/or hot yoga class. Their smoothies are refreshing, health conscious and don't break the bank. Service is pretty cut and dry, not overly friendly but frankly I didn't come to make friends so I enjoy the efficiency and professionalism. I typically will get a small pink flamingo smoothie and it is just the right amount of smoothie for my craving. The large I've ordered before but it really is just a little TOO MUCH smoothie for me. They also have acai bowls as well as juices and light healthy snacks. If you are into detoxing they do cleanses as well. I enjoy it for the energy boost it provides me since I'm constantly depleting myself with working out and teaching my classes. If you're super into replenishing your body with the right things and you like wellness and feeling good then COME HERE! Been coming here since they opened and have been a fan of Nekter in Plano! Would always get the dragon fruit bowl especially during the hot summers. So refreshing. Recently I have been on a green juice kick and their is called the Greenie! I also always ask for ice and a fresh ginger shot! For the most part it's always been consistently good not too sweet a bit earthy With a kick of spice from the ginger...You could always taste a little bit of a pineapple coming through...But here lately... You can today the greenie is off. I noticed it A while back and didn't say anything just figured it was probably some new juicers on deck... Got it again couple weeks later still the same... Then just got one 10 minutes ago and sadly the same. I think they have new juicers who don't follow the original recipe or are adding too much of the celery? The power protein bowl is always good and a long standing favorite with my husband. Strawberries are really good tho they are not in season right now LOL! You can customize any drink or smoothie to fit your like liking. It may take some time for you to figure out which one you like the most what to eliminate what to add on... The Buzz an orange carrot smoothie is good too typically. However the last time I got the buzz it was like drinking straight carrot juice with very little of the other ingredients coming through and just tasted pretty off as well! I stopped in recently to get an açaí bowl for myself and husband. I waited a good ten minutes in a line of three people when I was there. I don't know if the girl ahead of me was struggling to order or what but it took forever. When I finally placed my order it took another 10 minutes for them to make. I thought they forgot about my order so I almost went to ask till I heard my name called. I had asked for my order to be togo but they placed it on the counter without a lid. I had to wave at someone to get them to come over and get me a lid and a bag so I could carry them out (I had a child on one arm). The 2 girls working yesterday (Monday, Aug 15th) afternoon were so incredibly rude. I walked in and was standing there for almost 5 minutes before anyone acknowledged me or said a mere hello yet they kept looking at me. I was literally about to walk out when one of the girls finally walked to the cashier stand and rudely said "how can I help you?!" No apology for the wait or anything. I asked for the usual smoothie I get and she says "call your name when it's ready" only for me to wait 15-17 minutes in the store. I then see someone who walked in after me get handed their acai bowl and walk up asking where my smoothie is. They say "oh 2 more mins" and she proceeds to quickly blend ingredients as I watch her. She then hands me a smoothie that clearly has spinach and coconut chunks in it that barely fills the cup. I was so upset, I walked away, took one sip and threw it in the trash. It tasted HORRIBLY and clearly had purposely been made wrong as I had inquired how long it would take. I took a seat and waited about 10 minutes for my bowl to be made. There are about six tables for people to sit and enjoy their drink/bowl but that's about all I would do here. It's a little too loud for any productive work that you would need to concentrate on because of the blenders just a little heads up. My name was called and I went to pick up my bowl at the counter. SO disappointed in this Nekter location. I have been frequenting this location for a long time- often going two to three times a week. Yesterday I had a horrible experience with the two young girls working. I was rudely referred to as "bro" when I asked to have my strawberries blended rather than placed on top of my smoothie.... I didn't think that would be an issue. As someone who also works in the service industry I was left in disbelief as to how I was treated yesterday. Unfortunately I will not be going back. I hope this staff gets some proper training on how to interact with costumers. It used to not be like this! Also I want to state that I have NEVER left a negative review for an establishment before. It looked like someone ate half and sprinkled granola and a few pieces of fruit on top. They removed the banana like I asked but there were no extra strawberries or blueberries. I ordered from the app at 6:14pm. I got an e-mail confirmation that it would be ready at 6:30. I showed up to pick up my order at 6:40 and THEY WERE CLOSED!!!! This is the second time this has happened to me! What kind of business changes their hours without making sure people can't order from the app when you are closed!?!? The first time was the Eldorado/Custer location when they changed their closing time from 8pm to 7pm on a Friday a few months ago. The app currently says you close at 7pm. The hours on the door have been taken off so that no close times are posted. I would have understood if maybe I got an e-mail or phone call to let me know you wouldn't be able to fulfill my order because you were closing early but I didn't find out until I arrived. The link in the app to "CALL STORE" doesn't even work. It goes straight to a message that says "The subscriber you have dialed is not in service." Tasty bowls but terrible business practices. I would recommend Jamba or Chop Shop instead. They are both less expensive and they've always been open when I arrive to pick up my orders. read more

Between constantly wasting time driving to it then being told the location changed hours on a whim to showing up 15 minuets before they close and being greeted with annoyed looks and being told they couldn't make what I wanted. This location is more convenient for me but I will resort to driving a extra 10 minuets up the road to go to a more consistent location on main st in Frisco.
