This location looked very clean and organized. This was one of my first time ordering at Smoothie King. I asked the cashier what her favorite smoothie was. I think it's always good to see what the staff's favorites are. I believe it was a wellness drink. I don't remember the name. The cashier who was helping me seemed to have worked with the company for a while. After helping me, two more groups followed. She was a rockstar! Because they're franchised, there are a few locations (Preston and 121) that just don't cut it; however, this one makes me want to drive the extra miles just for the friendly staff (I think it's run by a family of really smiley people) and very clean, plentiful store. After visiting their website, I was soon enticed by the plethora of flavors and variety of ingredients and decided that I would stop by on "$5 Friday"-- where 32oz. smoothies are offered for $5. When I first walked into the store, I was impressed by the sleek design and efficiency of the store. Customers would wait along a wall of healthy snacks across from an array of blenders working their magic into "healthy and flavorful" smoothies. Immediately things turned south when I walked up to cashier who displayed an example of poor service and quickly forced me to order from an overwhelming menu. As a first time customer, I was highly dissatisfied with this lack of care for customers. After being steered away from the "Daily Warrior" and "Blueberry Heaven," I finally settled for the "Premama" (which at the time I did not know was specifically made for pregnant women). The operation from how they make your smoothie to your first sip is highly opaque. I could not see what went into my smoothie (since their counter is wood), but I could hear squirts of syrup jettisoned to the blender. By the time I had my first sip, I could already taste a lie. I work right by this smoothie king and sometimes get a smoothie for breakfast or lunch. I am pretty sure it is owned by family members, the woman works in the AM and the man in the afternoon and there are a few other employees that are much younger. They are always really nice and friendly. When my punch card was full they remembered me and that I always get a caffeine add-on in my smoothies, so they gave me the add-on for free in my free smoothie. It is those little touches that make it easy to give them your money... especially when the product is so consistently good. I also give these guys a lot of credit because I have been in there many times with obnoxious high school kids jerking them around and the staff is always nice and respectable even when the kids get really offensive. This is the best Smoothie King in the area. I am so happy when I find a place to spend my money that actually cares about their customers. If you go enough they will remember your name. They are friendly, efficient, the place is always clean and always busy and they have great selections of healthy snacks and supplements. I always order the Angel Food which is basically strawberry banana. It is sooo good! Run by a sweet Indian family, their business tactic is to follow you out the door with a friendly "See you tomorrow!" This is mainly for Smoothie King corporate. Please include ALL smoothies for $5 Friday deal, instead of excluding Meal Replacement smoothies. It would simplify the process and still maximize profits. The last 3 times I've gone to this location on Friday just for the $5 smoothie and each time I've ordered the smoothie not on the $5 list. Most people don't even look to see if it's MR and then you get up to pay and they tell you "sorry meal replacement is not included on $5 Fridays." The staff and customer service here is fine and I have no issues with the quality or taste. However, I won't be going back on Fridays since I end up paying what I usually pay if I go during the week. This will no longer be a smoothie King location I choose, after a few Im a smoothie king regular (about two years now) at a smoothie king near my job in Richardson and every experience is amazing and accurate not to mention the cool staff. Those location is very disconnected and can never get drinks right. I went a hand full of times and had my drink remade every time because they are not paying attention. Anyways I don't want to complain to much but they are not the best location to visit regularly if your a smoothie stickler. I hope others can have a better experience than the ones I have had.
