If you're looking for a cheap and tasty lunch option for Italian food, look no further. My team and I went once a couple months ago and loved it so much that we're back again for another occasion. The lunch menu has incredibly reasonable prices, given the economy, and the portions are large. We started with breads for the table (not pictured). Then I got an eggplant parmigiana with soup (choice of soup or salad). The soup of the day was pasta e fagioli. It was tasty! Last visit was Italian wedding soup, which can't be beat. I was delighted that my eggplant parm arrived with a big, heaping portion of spaghetti. The sauce is mild and sweet. And the texture of the eggplant is not super oily, which makes me think it was baked, as opposed to the layers being deep fried. We have eaten at Amore many times and decided to cater for Christmas Eve this year and we're sorely disappointed. The chicken picatta was incredibly salty and the chicken barely resembled chicken -- more like ground chicken patties cut into literal rectangles. I love this restaurant, but they over-cook the salmon, causing the ends to be burnt, crispy and all of the fish to be dry. You should not have black grill marks on fish that is not cooked blackened style. I would recommend only ordering the seafood items when ordering in. This is a wonderful privately owned restaurant that ALWAYS works to do their best!! We had a great dinner last night with our server Preethi. She could not have been nicer or more attentive. Then the food; veal cremora and veal piccata. Both dishes were terrific -the veal and pastas were very good and the meal came out hot as you would like. The perceived value for these meals is a 10. I pre-ordered a pizza at approximately 4:30 PM requesting that it be delivered at 7 PM. It arrived 30 minutes late and is cold. They're only located approximately 5 miles from my house. I will never order from them again. Update: after trying to warm the pizza, I bit down on something hard; looks like an olive pit. Update #2: someone from the restaurant, I assume the owner just called me and argued with me. She told me that she had the best Italian restaurant. I wish that I could give this restaurant a -5. It was my second time dining at this restaurant. I went there at 3 o'clock in the afternoon. I was the only patron in the whole entire restaurant, so you would think that the service would be all about me. Well, it wasn't. The servers were too busy eating and playing on their phones to even care to check on me and when she (Jessica) did, she acted as if I was putting her out and only checked on me twice throughout my whole meal. Also, the kitchen staff was listening to an obnoxiously loud Hispanic show of some sort and eating. It is absolutely disgusting to see that the kitchen staff is eating and then preparing my food. It's also disgusting to see the servers eating and delivering my food. I will never be visiting this establishment ever again.!!! read more

I came here for a business lunch, and the restaurant was quiet enough that we could have a good conversation and the service and food were quite good. Loved the food so much! The fettuccine Alfredo is deliciously seasoned and not bland at all. The pizza had an Alfredo base sauce and pretty good overall. Might be our last visit ever after supporting this restaurant for 20+ years.. 1. Service very inefficient 2. 20 minutes just to get water 3. Food partially cooked - fried ravioli soft, no crunch - pizza was served in raw dough - replacement was on prefab crust 4. Caesar salad had shredded mozzarella on top and bottle Italian dressing 5. House salad was a 1/2 plate of lettuce with one 1/3 slice of tomato 6. No one checked on us for the duration of the meal ( no drink refills, had to get a napkin of another table) 7. Check came, no compensation for a pizza not eaten, another 10 minutes to get someone to find server to ring us out Not sure what happened as this used to be one of our favorite places. Worst it has ever been. Last visit was questionable but we wrote it off as an "of day". And we're done. And very sad. read more

I went here for my friend's birthday celebration, a party of about 20! The food was really good! The bread rolls were delicious and fresh. I had the chicken Alfredo and it was so so delicious. It was perfectly creamy and the chicken was cooked just right. The service was on point. Our appetizers came out soon after we sat, salads after that and our orders were taken and served promptly. Had made a reservation to celebrate my mom's birthday. They pretty much sat us on time even though we were not a complete party initially. For Friday night, it was not too crowded and therefore the noise level was very good for having conversation. This is my husband and I's new favorite date night spot. It is a small little family-owned Italian restaurant (run by true Italians), with delicious food. They are BYOB and do not charge a corking fee. Our food was made from scratch with fresh ingredients and it was so good we didn't even have time for a picture! To start, they bring fresh bread and an oil/vinegar mixture for dipping. The bread was warm and pillowy, and the dipping oil mix was nicely seasoned. I've ordered several items from there but my favorite main course so far is the capelli ala pomodori. My husband's favorite is the penne arrabiata. And the absolute best item on the entire menu is the tiramisu. Tiramisu is my favorite dessert and I've eaten many throughout the years. I can confidently say this one is one of the best I've ever had! For an appetizer, 2 entrees, and dessert we spent roughly $45 and it was worth every penny. Please please check this place out.
