    Baked Ziti
    Laura G.

I ordered the baked ziti and loved it. A good portion, very flavorful and very hot. I loved the bread they bring out with the dish of oil and herbs before the meal. This place is very affordable, feels cozy, and has a large menu. The only reason for 4 stars is that the service is good- but feels very impersonal and brief.

Chicken Piccata, Supreme Pizza Chicken piccata was solid and perfectly tender and lemony and full of capers. Supreme Pizza was sort of just fine, fell a little flat to me. Totally would order more of the pastas here though!

Cafe Amore was a good Italian place with a lot of options. I have heard good things about their pizza but didn't have it this time. We got a few pastas to share among the table which I'd recommend doing. Good flavors!

Ordered from UberEats and pizza arrived very cold (that's Uber's fault). The pizza itself is nothing special, actually it's pretty bland. We asked for extra sauce and there was barely any on the pizza. It looks much better than it tastes. Overall we weren't very impressed and wouldn't reorder.

Stuffed Mushrooms, Fried Calamari, Bruschetta yummers!

Very good family run restaurant with a great home feel. Calamari was crispy and fresh and the stuffed mushrooms had a tasty sauce. Generous servings in the Penne Arribiata, Lasagna and Linguine Carbonara. Would definitely recommend and it's BYOB so take a nice Red Wine with you. Prices are very reasonable.

    Chicken Marsala Lunch
    Sam B.

Lunch. (Both meals $12.99 each lunch) Both Come with a pasta & choice of soup or salad. Chicken Parmesan with spaghetti and marinara sauce. Tomato basil, soup of the day. Spaghetti with sauce non-meat and warm rolls. Chicken Marsala with penne pasta. Italian salad and warm rolls. Warm rolls & Italian Salad were plentiful and good. Tomato basil soup paired well with the rolls. Both entres were good portions and the penne pasta was perfect. The marsala sauce had plentiful mushrooms but the taste of the wine was not as expected. Still tasty. The warm rolls were warm and good. The spaghetti noodles were a bit overcooked but only slightly so ok. The spaghetti sauce was mostly a me too. Nothing unique or special but standard fare and not a problem. Service was good and unobtrusive. Atmosphere was nothing special. Small and slightly intimate. Ok and clean. Bathroom was CLEAN!!!!!

Hard, inedible "things" that were in the pizza.

I pre-ordered a pizza at approximately 4:30 PM requesting that it be delivered at 7 PM. It arrived 30 minutes late and is cold. They're only located approximately 5 miles from my house. I will never order from them again. Update: after trying to warm the pizza, I bit down on something hard; looks like an olive pit. Update #2: someone from the restaurant, I assume the owner just called me and argued with me. She told me that she had the best Italian restaurant. Even a mediocre restaurant would not argue with a customer over something like this.

That said, once we arrived, it was absolutely packed to the brim. Every table was full, including a private conference room, and the space itself isn't small at all. I imagine it's a bit easier to find seating when the weather is nicer, but today was freezing, which made their six outdoor tables completely unusable. My mom ordered the chocolate croissant and said it was the best she's had at any coffee shop I've taken her to. We had it warmed, and it was incredibly rich and indulgent. The coffee was fine--nothing memorable--but the matcha was to die for. They had about six people working in a very small space, and despite that, service held up well considering how busy it was. The crowd skewed younger, with lots of people posted up working for long stretches. Definitely a long-haul seating kind of place. The vibe was great: louder music, energetic atmosphere, and it somehow all worked. There's also a stuffy (quiet) room available for rent if you need it. Matcha rating: 8/10. Second best matcha I've had in Dallas so far--better than La La Land, but still not topping Tried & True Stellar, which remains my #1. This place has real character--very local, very lived-in. I'd come back 100%, probably earlier in the day to snag better seating, since once people sit down here, they really settle in.

That said, it did taste a bit like a rush order. Drinks: * Coffee: solid and enjoyable--no complaints there. * Matcha: unfortunately mediocre. Dallas isn't exactly a matcha city, and this one confirmed it. Very lip-smacking and not something I'd order again. Vibe: Where this place really shines. Super cute ambiance, great music playing, and a warm, inviting atmosphere. There were plenty of people working behind the counter--even during a slower moment--so it feels like they could easily handle a crowd. Food: Didn't try it this time, but everything looked great and there was a nice variety. Overall, I'd 100% come back, especially to work or relax. I'd just skip the matcha next time and stick to coffee. Fantastic ambiance, good service, and a space that makes you want to stay awhile

The matcha was excellent (again), and the staff were calm, warm, and incredibly professional. I witnessed a customer being a bit rude, and the way the team handled it--with grace, patience, and zero tension--was honestly impressive. The vibe here just feels happy. Beautiful sunshine pours through big windows, there's a lovely park right outside, and the light is so good it feels like the café equivalent of a good hair day. Dallas weather helps, obviously--but this place knows how to use it. The space is lively without being chaotic. Plenty of outdoor seating, lots of indoor seating, and a very reasonable three-hour Wi-Fi window that keeps people working instead of camping. It feels intentional. People come here to stay, not hover in line. Speaking of which--there's never a line. They're clearly well staffed, everyone's efficient, and everyone is genuinely nice. Now, pastries. This is where they shine. A lot of unique options you don't see everywhere, and everything I tried was excellent. The almond croissant? Fantastic. The blueberry cake? A must-get. I went two days in a row (because obviously), and on day one they told me it was their most popular item. Day two, by 11 a.m., it was completely gone and kept selling out as soon as they tried to restock. That alone tells you what you need to know. The matcha is good--made from scratch, which I appreciate. Is it the best matcha I've ever had? No. It's better than Local Johnny's, but not quite on the level of Marin Coffee Roasters or Ralph & Rose. Still very drinkable and enjoyable, especially if you're settling in to work. What really sets this place apart is its personality. It doesn't feel like a cookie-cutter café or "insert minimalist coffee brand here." There's charm. Character. A little whiteboard with a joke about New Year's resolutions that made me smile. Small details, but they matter. Would I come back? Absolutely. I already did--twice. I'd recommend it especially for locals looking for a solid work spot, co-working with a friend, or anyone who wants to be productive without being bothered. If you're visiting Dallas briefly, this might not be a destination café--but if you're here for a bit and want a reliable, pleasant, sunny place to work and snack, this one's a yes.
