Lovely customer service and space! I was in the Addison area and wanted to try a new local spot for matcha and discovered Local Jonny's on Yelp. It's located inside of a retail strip/courtyard. It was high noon and HOT so I was excited for a cool drink. The staff were sweet. You could tell they loved their jobs. Upon entering I noted their fridge with options to purchase milks and other small grocery finds. My absolute favorite part of the cafe was their prayer wall where patrons left all kinds of prayer requests. I got teary eyed reading the vulnerability and pleas from those needing prayers. It was beautiful! I ordered the banana and blueberry iced matchas with cold foam, both half sweet. I think I'll try them again with their full sweet option and see if I could taste the flavors better. Not going to dock them though, it was my choice to modify. read more

This place is absolutely adorable and a great spot to hang out or get some work done. Parking was ample, which is always a win. Getting inside was a tiny bit confusing since it's part of a larger complex and not immediately obvious where to go, but once I figured it out, everything was smooth sailing. The staff was friendly and respectful, and service was impressively fast. My mom and I stepped outside for literally a minute after ordering, and when we came back, our drinks were already ready. That said, it did taste a bit like a rush order. Drinks: * Coffee: solid and enjoyable--no complaints there. * Matcha: unfortunately mediocre. Dallas isn't exactly a matcha city, and this one confirmed it. Very lip-smacking and not something I'd order again. Vibe: Where this place really shines. Super cute ambiance, great music playing, and a warm, inviting atmosphere. There were plenty of people working behind the counter--even during a slower moment--so it feels like they could easily handle a crowd. Food: Didn't try it this time, but everything looked great and there was a nice variety. Overall, I'd 100% come back, especially to work or relax. I came across Local Jonny's while searching for coffee shops in Addison and have been going since 2025! They offer breakfast items to pastries to coffee and matcha. Also, they are general store selling more than just drinks. I absolutely love their Sunny Latte, my favorite from Jonny's! For matcha lover, including myself, I don't think they use Japanese ceremonial (if not, please correct me) and as you can see from photos, they were milky. Functional little coffee shop that also sells snacks and souvenirs. If you come on a Saturday morning be prepared to stand in line and wait a minute for them to prepare your coffee. I ordered a cappuccino. Staff said it comes with two shots of espresso. It tasted like weak milky coffee with a licorice undertone taste. read more

I visited local Jonny's on a friends recommendation and I'm very glad I did. This coffee shop has a warm and inviting atmosphere with the cozy decorations and friendly staff. I ordered the sunny latte which is a vanilla latte with salted honey cold foam. (Make sure you mix this drink properly before drinking so you get equal parts of all ingredients). Love this place! Glad it's around the corner from me. It's become my quick stop fancy coffee shop when I want something more than a homemade coffee/latte. They have friendly staff, a cute space (albeit small), and the lattes are delish. They always have a special menu which is where I typically try to order from. If you're a matcha lover like myself, literally all the matcha lattes are worth a try! Today I grabbed some coffee for some friends. I got the matcha latte, and got the gingerbread latte and white horse latte for my friends. The matcha latte was good but nothing special imo, but my friends absolutely loved their drinks! These sweetness of the drinks are more on the subtle side which is perfect for us because that's how we prefer our drinks. These baristas were nice and brought out the coffee to me where I was waiting. The storefront is a little hidden if you are looking for the place and there is a parking garage nearby. I don't know how they did it, but I had this iced latte for over 2 hrs and my ice NEVER fully melted which is a miracle in itself. Staff was super nice, the shop is clean and there's adequate seating for groups inside or in their outside patio. For my remote workers, I noticed plug outlets were near almost every table - I absolutely loved that they had a prayer board, I almost cried reading people's wishes, dreams and prayers. I wasn't brave enough to put mine but I admire the ones who did. Went there because of Dallasite's Coffee Passport 2025 :) I ordered the Tiramisu Latte (half sugar) and my bf ordered the PSL (half sugar). Both of them are just as tasty and super solid. We'd love to go back for coffee again some time! We also ordered the Jess Tacos and the Migas. The flavor was great however the tortilla was very gluey and sticky to the foil. They do care people with allergies, vegan and gluten free. Customer service this is where they get 2 stars. Called first round super helpful. Waited for the second call back, no answer and no voicemail. Main thing, If you use Uber Eats and say you didn't get your item back. You can call them, but getting a refund from them is impossible. They want you physical come (during your work hours) to the store and get a gift card that you will never use. If you ask for a refund it will never happen. I typically LOVE this business, the atmosphere is fun and it's an incredible vibe for those days when you're working remote. I normally come here once every other week and have a cappuccino. Today I decided to switch it up for a pour over. I'm not sure what happened or if the baristas on shift were inexperienced with pour overs, I totally understand. It's not the usual cup of coffee people order. My coffee was roughly 1/4 empty when I received it, and the coffee itself was warm/ borderline room temp. Local Jonny's is a new coffee shop located in north Dallas. While the matcha does need a bit more love, the samosa latte was great!! They offer Faith's cookies in many different flavors. I tried the s'mores flavor for the first time and quickly became addicted! SOOO GOOD!!! My little guy had the gluten free guava pop tart and he enjoyed it.
