    Island latte

My friend and I met on Wednesday morning for coffee at local Jonny's around 9am and there was one other person in the shop besides us. We got our lattes very quick and they were a great price. I ordered an iced island latte with coconut milk and it was strong and tasty. We hung around for a while just talking and they had music playing to set a good vibe without it being too loud. By the time we left around 11 it was getting busy. It's tucked away in a cute spot and kind of hidden which gives it a special vibe. I'd come back!

I came across Local Jonny's while searching for coffee shops in Addison and have been going since 2025! They offer breakfast items to pastries to coffee and matcha. Also, they are general store selling more than just drinks. I absolutely love their Sunny Latte, my favorite from Jonny's! For matcha lover, including myself, I don't think they use Japanese ceremonial (if not, please correct me) and as you can see from photos, they were milky. They also have a prayer board where you can pray for or put your prayer request!

I visited local Jonny's on a friends recommendation and I'm very glad I did. This coffee shop has a warm and inviting atmosphere with the cozy decorations and friendly staff. I ordered the sunny latte which is a vanilla latte with salted honey cold foam. (Make sure you mix this drink properly before drinking so you get equal parts of all ingredients). The flavors were blended very well and I enjoyed my coffee thoroughly. Would recommend this spot, especially if you're near the Addison area.

Love this place! Glad it's around the corner from me. It's become my quick stop fancy coffee shop when I want something more than a homemade coffee/latte. They have friendly staff, a cute space (albeit small), and the lattes are delish. They always have a special menu which is where I typically try to order from. If you're a matcha lover like myself, literally all the matcha lattes are worth a try! I also really love their "prayer wall" it's such a sweet added touch that helps bring home the personable/family owned vibe that they have. I love reading what folks have put on it while I wait for my coffee.

Very local and wonderful! Tried mixed berries matcha, a little pricey but so is every other coffee and tea places

This place is absolutely adorable and a great spot to hang out or get some work done. Parking was ample, which is always a win. Getting inside was a tiny bit confusing since it's part of a larger complex and not immediately obvious where to go, but once I figured it out, everything was smooth sailing. The staff was friendly and respectful, and service was impressively fast. My mom and I stepped outside for literally a minute after ordering, and when we came back, our drinks were already ready. That said, it did taste a bit like a rush order. Drinks: * Coffee: solid and enjoyable--no complaints there. * Matcha: unfortunately mediocre. Dallas isn't exactly a matcha city, and this one confirmed it. Very lip-smacking and not something I'd order again. Vibe: Where this place really shines. Super cute ambiance, great music playing, and a warm, inviting atmosphere. There were plenty of people working behind the counter--even during a slower moment--so it feels like they could easily handle a crowd. Food: Didn't try it this time, but everything looked great and there was a nice variety. Overall, I'd 100% come back, especially to work or relax. I'd just skip the matcha next time and stick to coffee. Fantastic ambiance, good service, and a space that makes you want to stay awhile

Sophie has been so helpful! She helped find the best menu item and she remembered our allergy from our previous visit lol We have started coming here a few times and it is ALWAYS DELICIOUS! 100% recommended for matcha.

Visited because I wanted to try their matcha and it was pretty good! I got the lavender vanilla with oat milk and cold foam which was a good mix of sweet and earthy. If ever in the area again would come back.

Good coffee. Had a caramel latte and chocolate croissant. So flaky, but a tiny bit tough. Flavor was great. Cute little place, but a bit hidden. You have a bit of a walk from the parking lot. Small, a few seats. Not many outlets, but quiet enough to work or have a conversation. Steady stream of people in and out

‼My friends and I ordered four matcha lattes (three banana and one pistachio), and honestly, we were so disappointed. All of them tasted watery and artificial, and the matcha quality just wasn't there. Definitely not what we were hoping for. They are definitely more well known for coffee.

The coffee here is so good!! I'm a split soul between their island and sunny latte's. Bring your pups and enjoy the ambiance. The dog loved the pup cup too Definitely will be coming back!!!!

Today I grabbed some coffee for some friends. I got the matcha latte, and got the gingerbread latte and white horse latte for my friends. The matcha latte was good but nothing special imo, but my friends absolutely loved their drinks! These sweetness of the drinks are more on the subtle side which is perfect for us because that's how we prefer our drinks. These baristas were nice and brought out the coffee to me where I was waiting. The storefront is a little hidden if you are looking for the place and there is a parking garage nearby. I was able to go in and out fairly quickly so this is a great spot for a quick coffee run near the office! I will be back to try the other drinks!

a homey local business where the people are really nice and friendly. i wouldn't really say it's a great place to study since there's not a lot of seating with outlets, but it's a cute place to catch up w a friend or smth. i got the blueberry matcha and it was decent and looks cute but i wouldn't go out of the way for it. there was a hint of blueberry but for the most part it tasted like an average/mid tier matcha latte. the place is nice tho and the workers make you feel really welcomed!

The museum itself was really nice with multiple floors of interesting topics from dinosaurs to space to an earthquake simulator. I think for those floors it's best to be 3-4 or older. The membership will also provide a discount at the museum store and in the snack bar. Visit twice during the year, and the membership more than pays for itself. Your DMA cards will be mailed to you in four weeks, in the mean time, use that printed receipt for everything. We renewed our membership this weekend April 2026 and went to see the Samurai Collection. Metalwork is not a favorite of mine, but I was still fascinated by the stories presented on the placards throughout the exhibit and I certainly appreciated the beautiful, intricate craftsmanship presented in each piece. I didn't realize that the Samurai swords and armor had been banned from production in Japan, so the metal workers pivoted and learned to become artisans. They started to make and repair metal embellishments, lanterns, and incense burners for the numerous temples in the country. Many of the items in this collection were from Kyoto and Nara, both places my husband and I visited in November 2009. The full body armor was fascinating. Little pieces of leather were coated in metal, painted, and woven tightly together to form a moveable, but protective layer over the body. The workmanship was exquisite. The exhibit had a few short videos you could watch to learn about the work. I especially liked the 30 second clip about the process of making cloisonné. These vases are beautiful and the process to make each one is detailed and meticulous. Kids could collect a postcard-sized scavenger hunt near the entrance and use that to stay in engaged throughout the visit. At the end, there was a sign on the wall with the answer key pictures showing which art pieces help the intricate designs they were looking for. The DMA has a permanent collection that includes a variety of art from around the globe, as well as multiple special exhibits throughout the year. Everyone is bound to find something that delights them and inspires conversation and wonder. Worth a visit!
