Food and service are good. The mushroom appetizer was really good as was the lasagna! The house wine was ok.

Upon arrival, my friend and I were waiting to be seated as there were no host to greet us. We had 3-4 waiters/host pass us by before they acknowledged us and seated us. When we were seated we didn't know who our server was as we had 3 different people come up to us, which left a bad taste. As for the food, it was good, just wished the pasta ratio was equivalent to the sauce. The best part of our experience was the musician who sang with his guitar. Made the night memorable and very romantic!

This is a family run business in a perfect location next to the Eisemann Performance Hall in Richardson, TX. Went to grab a drink share a Manicotti- wow what a dish fresh baked pasta with ricotta, herbs, marinara sauce topped with mozzarella. Perfect dish, we were headed to the show - will spend more time - next time. I will be back!

I wish I could say this would be a life changing experience. And unfortunately that is not the case. I have given this place 3 tries, and have tried different things every time hoping I just got an off night each time. Well, 3 times of disappointment is not a coincidence, especially for the price point. Last time I ordered, I mentioned just moving in across the street, and they said "oh call next time! We discount for the locals". This evening I gave it my last shot, ordered via phone. Fettuccini primavera + sausage, and a Caesar salad. $38!!!!! Which is not only shocking, but also confusing because their online - posted menu- says this combo would only be $31, which is still disappointing since I received an inedible salad that was drowning in dressing. False advertisement? Oh and then after over changing me - they mentioned they do not do the discount anymore. Convenient. When I paid, the receipt asked for a tip option. When I put zero I was given the nastiest look. Why would I tip on a To-go order? Tipping culture is absolutely out of control. I give it 2 stars, because I finally found a dish that was above average- the fettuccine Primavera. I would NOT recommend any of the following: -stuffed mushrooms -any salad (unless you get dressing on side) -any red sauce pasta (jar tasting) -the soggy eggplant parmesan

All of the employees at Porta Di Roma have been working there since we moved here 25 years ago. It's a cozy and beautiful place with art from local artist everywhere! It is the well priced and delicious food that keeps bringing us back, and for me it's the Salman Picata. I get that and the wife the Cheese Pizza, and we share. They have the best Cheese Pizza in Dallas. Also, I have never been disappointed in the way they pour, either liquor, beer or wine.

So delish.. food, dessert, drinks and coffee.

The food and the service was exceptional y'all.. don't let this rating on yelp deceive you! So tasteful, and handmade Tiramasu was so yum.. good coffee. They did not disappoint at all. Just go!

Was on a work trip and I think this might be the only place within walking distance of the Renaissance. Service was friendly but a little slow. I really enjoyed their outside patio as it was a perfect night. Food was standard.

Food was delicious. I would definitely come back. Only downfall is the service was quite slow. They were not busy. It took about five minutes to get seated. It took me almost 10 minutes just to get my bill but other than that everything was great.

Mario plays music mostly in Italian . We really enjoyed his show.

We came to Port de Roma because it was right next to the hotel that our friends were staying at. We had a party of 7 but initially only 3 of us were there. They allowed us to be seated even though we did not have a reservation and our full party was not there. We were immediately given waters, and our drink orders were taken. I got a glass of Pinto Noir, and my husband and daughter got soda. We also ordered appetizers; the calamari and mozzarella sticks. They also brought out fresh bread that was hot from the oven. Once the rest of our party got there, they took their drink orders and also took our food orders. I got the Veal di Masala, my husband got the Stromboli, and my daughter got the Fettuccine Alfredo. My food was super tasty, and the sauce was amazing, and the mushrooms paired so nicely with the meat. My Pinot Noir was one of the best that I have had. I enjoyed it so much that I got a second glass. This restaurant has a decent amount of seating. They also have a full bar and bar seating area as well. One challenge that you may have to conquer is parking. They have limited free street parking for 2 hours. Otherwise, you may have to pay for parking or valet park at the hotel, they do comp the fee if you get something from the restaurant or bar. We will definitely go back again when we are in the Richardson area.

Front of the restaurant that we couldn't eat at since they never put in our food order.

Our group of 6 arrived at 5:30PM on a Saturday night. We were looking forward to a nice dinner before heading across the street for a 7:30PM show we already had tickets for. We made reservations in advance so were seated quickly. Our server took our drink orders. He didn't say much. After a few minutes he took our food order. A couple people got their mediocre iceberg side salads but after that no other food arrived - unless you count the bread we received after having to ask for it when all the tables around us had bread. We received one piece per person and after the baskets were empty our server removed them and no other bread was given or offered. Once we noticed all the other tables around us had received their food we asked our server if he could check on our order. He said " I can't, i don't work in the kitchen" We went ahead and asked for our checks but we were waiting to pay till after our food arrived ( it never did!). Our server never asked if anyone wanted additional drinks. ( 2 people had mixed drinks, 3 people had wine) At this point it had been an hour and time was ticking away. Fast forward to 7:05PM when we asked again (3rd time) the manager came to our table to apologize that there had been an issue. Our food was never made!!!! ( some issue with our ticket being misplaced) She said she could have it out in 7 minutes. That was not going to work since we had tickets to a show ...so we left. We were hungry and frustrated to say the least especially since we had asked about our order multiple times. Other things I'd like to add - only drink refills we got were ones we had to ask for, the wine that was ordered wasn't poured for us the bottle was just left on the table, the dirty salad plates sat on our table, there was no toilet paper in the first stall in the restroom. We were told by our server that "the chef refused to make pink sauce" ( mix marinara and Alfredo sauce together) As it turns out he refused to make us anything. The server added a 18% gratuity to our checks. Over an hour and a half spent at a restaurant that can't serve food. Unacceptable !!!

Great Italian food and service at a lovely restaurant in Richardson, Texas. Across from the renaissance Richardson (Marriott) and the local performing arts center. Stopped in on a work trip to have dinner and thoroughly enjoyed the meal. Highly recommend the tortellini and stuffed mushrooms. House salad with a tomato dressing was just okay.

Drinks: Oreo milkshake w/ extra oreos - delicious, once it started melting it got EVEN better. Thai Tea w/ Cream Cheese Cap - good but less Thai tea flavor than we expected, lived the slightly salty sweet cream cheese cap, it would be good on any milk tea. Butterfly Pink Drink w/ popping lychee jelly- Yummy, fruity, summery this is refreshing and sweet with an added lychee fruit which I loved Overall the service was very pleasant and quick. I would highly recommend this spot for a sweet little treat or a small brunchy snack with friends. I could not taste a distinct graham flavor although the balance of flavor is there. It is pleasing to the palate. Cranberry Cider: 10/10 great flavor. It was warm and inviting. It felt like a warm hug near a fire place. Bacon, cheddar, chive, scone: 10/10 seasoned well due to the mix of ingredients. The bacon was crispy, the cheddar is present and gooey, the chive is like the hall monitor that keeps everything together. The scone is moist and not too dense. I enjoyed it. Breakfast sandwich with bacon and egg: 10/10 the bread is thin and crispy. They took the cheese off by request. The bacon has a great flavor but could have been crunchier. The only small downside was that they weren't as hot as I usually like, but that's an easy fix -- I'll just ask for extra hot next time. Someone else in our group tried the apple cider and said it was okay, but it tasted more like warm apple juice since the spices you usually expect in apple cider weren't noticeable. Overall, a solid spot for coffee, especially if you're in the area and craving a smooth latte. Would definitely come back and just customize the temp next time.
