This was my first visit to Rocco's Italian Cafe and I have to say I was impressed from the start and the entirety of my visit met with being impressed. From my walk-in, the place looked pretty typical Italian-American restaurant. Stucco walls, a few Italian inspired pictures on the wall, a chalkboard or two of specials...you know the vibe. That would be the end of typical for my time here though. I was greeted and welcomed immediately upon entering. I was hungry, so thankfully I caught them at a time I could get seated immediately. After being seated, my server Victoria was at my table immediately and brought me freshly baked garlic rolls (delicious!). Her service was amazing throughout my experience! I ordered the Rocco's Trio...Beef Lasagna, a Meatball, and a giant Ravioli. Everything was great! As I said, it was my first visit, but I do not anticipate it being my last!

We went in and were greeted very friendly and cheerfully. Loved that, we seated ourselves and had the special read to us and bread brought out quickly. Placed our order and then I went to check out the bathrooms. I've learned from past experiences, to do this. As soon as I walked into the doorway leading into the bathrooms, the smell of sewage hit my nose. I went into the ladies bathroom and it was worse. Although the bathrooms were clean, the smell, was still there and stronger. There were large gnats everywhere. We left right after; better safe than sorry when it comes to food safety.

We went here for dinner on a Saturday night quite by accident. We could not decide where to go and the kid was insistent on having spaghetti with marinara sauce. The wife found Rocco's on Yelp and it had good reviews and was not too far, so off we went. My overall assessment is that this place is not quite a 5, but certainly is a strong 4.5. Parking is a bit tight but I found a place. Hint: do not park by the Wing Stop next door because the people who are getting takeout from Wing Stop will park behind you so you end up waiting for them to come out before you can leave. The ambience inside the restaurant is very attractive and old world Italy. Nice homey feel. The vibe is quiet and reserved. Most of the patrons were over 50, which is fine. I am just saying in case you are looking for boisterous. The beer selection is quite limited, our waitress mentioned only three and none was what I would normally drink. So I ended up with a Corona. We were given bread rolls with marinara sauce, and everyone liked them. The sauce was not sour or acidic. The kid had the spaghetti with marinara as she wanted and loved it. She is super picky but ate almost the entire bowl. The sauce was the same as for the rolls so it was not acidic. It was just $6.99. I had a 12 inch veggie pizza for $15.99. For some reason I thought it would be smaller, more like a personal pizza, but this one was large. Too much for one person. There were lots of toppings, very generous. The crust was crispy and the dough was obviously fresh. It was a good pizza although I would have liked a bit more sauce. My side salad ($3.99) had fresh, crisp lettuce and a sweet and tangy dressing. The wife had chicken marsala and really liked it. The chicken was tender and the sauce was very tasty. For dessert we shared a slice of cheesecake, which they make in house. It was excellent. Great flavor and texture, really really good. Overall, we had a very good meal. Service from Natalia was efficient and helpful. Prices are very reasonable. Food is very good. It does not quite hit my threshold for 5 stars, but we would definitely return. Plus, the kid loved it so that is an additional motivation.

I am just a sucker for this style spaghetti and meatballs.

It's a little expensive but SO worth every penny. We had the garlicky cheese which is better than any garlic cheese breadstick anywhere. That thin crispy dough and delicious cheese! Oh my! Also had a large pepperoni cup with homemade red sauce. Family loved it. My husband and I had a large veggie of our choice, with Italian sausage and homemade red sauce and added homemade ricotta too. Incredibly delicious! I wish he would add a couple of dessert pizzas too. Yummy! Please give them a try, you won't regret it and you'll fall in love too.

We ordered the Aurthur, and it was delicious. I wasn't sure how much to order so I got a large to be safe. Well, its huge at 16". Probably more than we needed for two people as we each ate two large slices, leaving 4 slices left over. I love leftover pizza, so no problem there. I think its a better value at $23.50 versus $16 for a small? I liked the greek salad as well, although It could probably use a larger lettuce to all-other-ingredients ratio. it seemed like all the ingredients were about equal in portion. Delicious, but I want a bit more lettuce. I will for sure try some of the other pizzas here. And I liked the friendly staff. They seem genuinely "all-in", which is a great thing.

Thanks for reading. We as long time customer are never going here again. We had scheduled an early dinner (6:00) and there were only 7 tables throughout the night enjoying dinner service. Well, we won't be going back till the addition to the restaurant is completed, due to the noise factor!!!!!!! There was sawing noise which was so loud we joked it made us feel like we were at the dentist office having a negative experience. Along with nail guns, not what you wish to have when you're trying to have a an enjoyable dinner experience! Upon being sat we asked Patrick, our server, if they were going to continue working and he was very put off by our question. He told they were about to wrap it up for the evening. Nope, still going strong at 7:00!!? We should have left...but we had committed to the evening by ordering a bottle of wine, meatballs (deliciousness!), and salad that came overdressed with dressing (yuck!). My friend ordered the Margarita pizza, which they left the fresh basil off, which is a key ingredient. Me, the sea-bass, which was overcooked & very fishy. My hubby the pork & beef pasta with ricotta, which was overcooked and mushy. Needless to say less than stellar. And Patrick was not very friendly or accommodating. Worst night of my Life, I was so embarrassed! When dining, you usually have background music, not a building under construction??!!! $200 dinner, ruined, horrible!!!!
